The Marxist left is attempting to disrupt life in the civilized West as much as it possibly can. Islamic culture may be the one that is most incompatible with our own; certainly it seems to have little regard for individual rights (although surely there are many living within that culture who would like to escape that dire situation, and who wish to move westward to do that, without necessarily turning their back on their faith, since culture is not exclusively the product of religion).

That's why I contend that the Marxist left is playing the Islamists like a violin. The latter would be discarded like an old rag as soon as they were deemed no longer useful. I also suspect that if Omar Khadr were to declare that all he wanted to do was to settle down, renounce violence, watch some TV, get some schooling and find a good job, the left would drop him like a hot potato, and probably call him a traitor to boot.

But I doubt there is any "divorce" coming until Islam is no longer useful to Marxism. The sudden emergence of one dissenter after an eye-opening trauma won't change that.
