What has to be done before people demand Obama's resignation? A video on Youtube was repeatedly blamed for a claimed attack the administration saw in real time and knew would happen given the repeated requests before and during the said attack. It still is. It beggars the imagination that people would accept this from the higher echelons of power on this continent. I don't expect exceptional morality from those in office but this takes the cake.

I have always been impressed by Mr. Levin's ability to go ballistic without losing his train of thought, but henceforth this epic rant should be the one that every rant should be measured against.

One is that the ambassador perhaps was about to spill the beans on the administration's arms deals with the Muslim Brotherhood -- giving guns to the enemy -- so the administration wanted him gone. Another is that the administration was hoping for a hostage scenario so Obama et al could come off as diplomatic negotiators and heroes by trading the hostages for the Blind Sheik -- but unfortunately the savages killed the Americans instead of keeping them captive as was the original deal.

I don't know what to think, but I just can't fathom why else a POTUS would let those men be attacked for 7 hours, why else people in his administration would insist that nearby SEALS had to "stand down" -- nothing makes sense.

I don't have a news organization reporting this, it's as close to as I've found and its a quote from Fox, reprinted at Blackfive:

"One of the former SEALs was actively painting the target. That means that Specter WAS ON STATION! Probably an AC130U. A ground laser designator is not a briefing pointer laser. You do not "paint" a target until the weapons system/designator is synched; which means that the AC130 was on station.

As you likely would agree, the presence of armed support with the ability to accurately fire on a target - and that was not used - would be huge revelation.

Deducting that laser-painting means that aerial help was on scene, is not conclusive proof. PErhaps they were painting the target out of desperation - perhaps they painted it and left the laser pointer to move to a safer place. We don't know.

But i think that if there was aerial support on scene we will find out very soon.

Man, that has my blood boiling. I listened to a clip from Limbaugh today and a Lt Colonel made it plain that there had to be an order NOT to do something as the standing order is to act to save lives. Only an order to stand down from the top can stop it. That makes it all but impossible for Barry Marshall Davis to dodge responsibility. It also makes the whole video nonsense even more reprehensible.

The only reason I can think of for not calling up C-130 aircraft is because it is such a deadly weapon and at night it is even more devastating.

Think-

Some enemy soldiers and civilians were hit with more than three rounds.

The ambassador was missing and Obama, if he was even notified,
might have thought such a weapon would kill him.

Using him for an exchange of the blind Sheik is an interesting concept and knowing Obama, probably logical.

Not using a C-130 aircraft is forgivable.

But I will never forgive him for not calling in a close support drone,
black hawk helicopter, plane load of Marines.
Weapons and personnel that can see the faces,

Regardless of whether a drone or air gun ship or whatever other assets were around the site a more pertinent question is perhaps why these perpetrators are not currently serving as blow fly egg sites (dead). This was a direct attack on the soverign USA territory (I know it wasn't the actual embassy). TV shows notwithstanding I cannot believe the US military is not itching to avenge this craven assault on American integrity. I pray, in a sense, for Rommney to be elected and the full story to come out. Obama needs to be sent to live the remainder of his days in the Kenyan hut his half brother occupies. The White House wanted the enemy to get its hands on sensitive documents;covert operatives.... sleeper agents in the Middle East etc.
