About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

You'd think that a bar graph is simple enough that even Democrats would get it.
There are too many bars on that graph for socialists.
Only the one on the left is required, the other one just complicates things.
And that's from 2009. . . . Imagine the right side graph if you started in 2008. . . . when BamBam got the White House keys.
Look at all those jobs Obama created! La la la I can't hear you!
This is as the New Democratic party wants it.More civil servants and more dependent Americans for votes. The USSR worked well, for a while. It was only later when the doers were eliminated that the dupes found out what they had installed.
The wookie said on Drudge the other day that "America is in the midst of a major recovery".
Bwahahaha.
And along with a net loss of roughly 7.6 million from the labour force over 3 years, unemployment dropped from 8.3% to 7.9% Aug-Sep/12. Must be the new math...
Canuck66... new math, yes, the new math that didn't include California's unemployment figures. We know they'll get those in as soon as the election is out of the way. Probably in the mail now.
Rush made an excellent point today. He said "How many flim flam big talking CEOs salesmen, conmen etc has Mitt Romney dealt with over the years?". He knows exactly how to deal with guys like Obama.
Obama has succeeded in lowering the unemployment rate. He did not do it by creating jobs. He did it by causing people to quit looking for a job. His administration was successful in demoralizing 8.2 million people so they quit looking.
They gave up.
Lost Hope. What a Change.
Heckuva job Barry.
A reader's post, on the Daily Telegraph re Hollande in France, but applicable to Obama et al:
Ineptocracy
(in-ep-toc’-ra-cy) – a system of government where the least capable to
lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the
members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are
rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a
diminishing number of producers.
A classic from the comments:
Recent magical 7.8% unemployment report explained --
COSTELLO: I want to talk about the unemployment rate in America.
ABBOTT: Good Subject. Terrible Times. It's 7.8%.
COSTELLO: That many people are out of work?
ABBOTT: No, that's 14.7%.
COSTELLO: You just said 7.8%.
ABBOTT: 7.8% Unemployed.
COSTELLO: Right 7.8% out of work.
ABBOTT: No, that's 14.7%.
COSTELLO: Okay, so it's 14.7% unemployed.
ABBOTT: No, that's 7.8%.
COSTELLO: WAIT A MINUTE. Is it 7.8% or 14.7%?
ABBOTT: 7.8% are unemployed. 14.7% are out of work.
COSTELLO: IF you are out of work you are unemployed.
ABBOTT: No, Obama said you can't count the "Out of Work" as the unemployed. You have to look for work to be unemployed.
COSTELLO: BUT THEY ARE OUT OF WORK!
ABBOTT: No, you miss his point.
COSTELLO: What point?
ABBOTT: Someone who doesn't look for work can't be counted with those who look for work. It wouldn't be fair.
COSTELLO: To whom?
ABBOTT: The unemployed.
COSTELLO: But they are ALL out of work.
ABBOTT: No, the unemployed are actively looking for work. Those who are out of work gave up looking and if you give up, you are no longer in the ranks of the unemployed.
COSTELLO: So if you're off the unemployment roles that would count as less unemployment?
ABBOTT: Unemployment would go down. Absolutely!
COSTELLO: The unemployment just goes down because you don't look for work?
ABBOTT: Absolutely it goes down. That's how Obama gets it to 7.8%. Otherwise it would be 14.7%. He doesn't want you to read about 14.7% unemployment.
COSTELLO: That would be tough on his reelection.
ABBOTT: Absolutely.
COSTELLO: Wait, I got a question for you. That means there are two ways to bring down the unemployment number?
ABBOTT: Two ways is correct.
COSTELLO: Unemployment can go down if someone gets a job?
ABBOTT: Correct.
COSTELLO: And unemployment can also go down if you stop looking for a job?
ABBOTT: Bingo.
COSTELLO: So there are two ways to bring unemployment down, and the easier of the two is to have Obama's supporters stop looking for work.
ABBOTT: Now you're thinking like the Obama Economy Czar.
COSTELLO: I don't even know what the hell I just said!
ABBOTT: Now you're thinking like Obama.
Sadly, there is 47% of the American population that can't understand this graph.
Steve, your comment ties in the Nemo2's comment. Both comments exemplify socialism perfectly. And as spike 1 says it works until they run out of producers and other people's money. The state workers produce no more than they are forced to. Ask my relatives, as they confirm the expression, "the government pretends to pay us, and we pretend to work.
Creating government jobs does nothing to create wealth, it just spreads the same chicken around in favored pots.
Don't be surprised if the democrats give the credit for the blue bar to the blue states and blame the red bar on red states. It's outlandish, but not beyond their blame-laying mentality.
Also add how many million who have gone on disability. 2 million? Not counted as unemployed.
Sure you guys aren't talking about Morontario?
Romney needs to tell the 47% that he wants to bring their numbers down by bringing their incomes up so that they enter the 53% that do pay taxes. Drop that 47% down to 40% and you have the makings of a major recovery. Remember the saying goes, ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. The saying is not Obama's line, ask not what you can do for your country, ask what your country can do for you.
Totalitarian governments (rule by a few elite) rely on terrorism to stay in power. Citizens must be constantly monitoring all public servants (anyone paid by producers via taxes) to maintain the rights and freedoms of a people. IMO,
all people should be demanding that Mit R. take on the bama - expose him ruthlessly or get off the stump. Mit has baggage like Robamny care that he is lugging around his neck; if he is truly interested in the top job he will have to burn a few bridges and adopt the policies of the Constitution as his main platform. Is Mit big enough to do this...he is running out of time..
Meanwhile, I pray for America and Americans.
They've been cooking the unemployment numbers since the housing meltdown.
