Guess What?

The rest of the world is not just like us--and isn't going to be.

I stopped reading when I got to "neocon". Like "denier" it is a word I associate with leftism, the the other mental defects that go with leftism.

Iranian terrain is so rough that ground action is almost a non-starter. Air and naval strikes. I have no idea what the Iranian airforce is capable of.

The article doesn't talk about a 2nd wave of bombers. Entirely possible especially if the Iranian air defence is poor.

Strategically it might not be that important whether the attack is successful or not. If the Iranians become convinced it is a battle they cannot win then either they will abandon the nuclear option or opposition forces might revolt. Their economy is already collapsing.

Dwayne,
Agreed.
And America and its Western allies aren't "losing their global military, financial, and economic power" as Kupchan who once worked on implementing the liberal-internationalist agenda of the Clinton administration says, but rather traitors like himself and leaders like Clinton have squandered and thrown this power away to serve that liberal-(read Communist)-international agenda.

Hang them, says I, and lets us re-claim our birthrights: Decline is NOT Inevitable, no matter how much these traitors claim it to be so.

IMO, it ooks like the author had a Reality Check and found words to define the reality that he has rationally found.

That list lengthens, Dwayne. I have to admit that my eyes start to glaze over a bit when I see or hear...

-"sustainability"
-"empower"
-"bringing awareness"
-ANY use of "brings" following a person's name in an appraisal of said person
-"workshop" (in a situation where no hand or mechanical tools are used)
-"truth & reconciliation" used as a phrase
-"justice" with any word except "legal" or "criminal" preceding it

..... and many more, in a sentence.

Guess they’ve finally figured out that 10% of the population being illegal immigrants feeding off their socialist trough is not a healthy way to run an economy.

At least their sharing equally in something now, although sharing in poverty and misery is not a sensible value to rational people, aka conservative people.

I like how these guys all see history as some kind of dynamic "system", with rising and falling, with "forces", all that kind of thing. History is made by the people who were there at the time, their decisions and actions create it.

So I think it matters a lot who is at what place, because not all people are the same. It looks like it all smushes together into forces and movements, but only from a distance.

USA may loose their primacy, Europe may became a backwater, China may became the world superior power and Islam may became leading religion in the world.
Nevertheless none of the above is certain.
However, if people living in the USA became convinced that USA is no longer a world power, and that China has superior economy, then it will became so in reality.
Even if US will be able to improve economy, and will be still much better technologically than China, it won't matter, because if one thinks one already lost the race (or does not want to win), one nearly always looses it.

The Iranian air force was, at one time a formidable
force, thanks to the training and armament supplied to them by the US. Since 1979 things have deteriorated appreciably. Unknown what the Russkies have done to support them but I would guess that they are not the threat they used to be.

Yeah well that "expert's" opinion about the IDF attacking Iran needs to be taken with a grain of salt or two.

A long while back a young Greek king faced off against a force of Persians at a place called Gaugamela.....in that very same neighbourhood....out numbered 5-1....
