I remember when the media abandoned the Liberals. Sometimes even they can't stand themselves.

the empty suit showed up in full form

You know it's bad when even the New Yorker is hanging Obama out to dry. The Left mocked the empty chair improv, but it looks like even they are acknowlegdging that Clint was right.

Political death comes not with being hated by parts of the electorate. Political death comes from being a figure of mockery.

All we need is a beer and popcorn moment and I'm betting that Biden will deliver one soon.

I am sooo looking forward to the Biden-Ryan tilt. Can hardly wait!

Of course it's not liberalism at fault; just Teh Won for not trying harder.

Me thinks the narrative is in need of a rewrite. I predict a complete change to arrive Monday. The campaign is about to get really, really nasty as the demoncrats go full-on batshit crazy-angry. They have no choice now.

Speaking of batshit; have a peek at what [passes for your typical college edumicated young-uns.

Wow! That might be worth the $5.99 just to have a this cover.

That Biden chair was exactly what I was thinking. Bit small though...

Brilliant!

The best image of Obama that we've ever seen; an empty chair. Bravo to Clint Eastwood for telling us that the emperor has no clothes.

The thing about Obama is that he does not live in the real world of action and facts. He lives totally, completely, in a cocoon of Words. His words have no reference to that real world; they exist only to persuade and beguile you into a state of adulation. Of him.

He's never been held to account for his endless monologues of words and more words. And he's never been asked to link his words to actions.

Indeed, it's impossible for him to link words to actions; it's a foreign concept to him. Romney's description of the real world, the data and facts, were simply 'noise' to Obama. He can't relate to them. That's why he stood there like an empty chair. All he could do was retreat to words, he repeated his mantra, repeated his stock phrases, his Words. And more words.

Will wonders never cease.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. In this case, it is a veritable bookshelf full of volumes.

Cheers

Hopefully not Black Mamba...

He's an empty chair, but the next debate is in a Town Hall. That's a great site for an empty chair.

He just has to answer questions from an audience and surely these will be screened - and, his answers aren't challenged by these questioners. That's they key thing. In a Town Hall situation, Obama can preach; it's not a debate; his answers are authoritative from the pulpit. No-one in the audience will challenge him. In the most recent debate, Romney was constantly challening Obama and he can't handle that.
So- be cautious. Obama shines in a situation where he preaches.

As for Ryan and Biden, sure, Ryan knows the facts, but Biden, the 'aw shucks' guy, can lie and get away with it because he seems just like the good neighbour next door who just wants to help.

ET, Obama expected to be coddled. He even set himself up for failure when he declared that debate preparation was a "drag". I guess he didn't expect that debate preparation actually mattered to the voter.

Here is a man who- like you said- has no connection to reality but even more so seriously expected to just coast by because his adoring crowds would be there for him.

Oops.

That cover says a thousand words.

That cover was quite a surprise and it suggests that the fact that the emperor has no clothes has just become too obvious to hide now.

ET, I would have agreed with you about the TOTUS being more in his element "preaching" to a crowd a few months ago. I think that now, given his performance in the first debate, people are looking at Obama far more critically. Also, unless Obama is allowed access to his telepromter he won't come across very well at all. His only talent is reading lines that someone else has written and sounding as if he knows what he's talking about in the process. I think that the majority of the American people now are aware that "hope and change" are just empty rhetoric.

One of the pivotal moments in this election campaign may be Clint Eastwood's interview of the empty chair. In his honor, I think we should raise funds for a chair of improvisational political humor in the drama department of Clint's choice.

I'm hoping that the TOTUS delivers another underwhelming performance at the next debate and that would definitely push the country towards Romney.

Don't write Biden off too soon. He's a old warhorse who has been around a long time and a survivor. He does not need a teleprompter to hold his own. he specializes in repeating pure bullsh!t until his time runs out. The fact checking and debunking will be done long after the viewing audience has turned the TV off. The democrat base will hear all the things required to keep them in Obamas camp and Ryans logic will bounce off him without making a dent. I hope I'm wrong but I've seen him in action and he's very adaptable.

In January, can Obama apply for disability benefits? He clearly is incapacitated without TOTUS, which will soon cause the loss of his job.

I'm waiting for Ryan-Biden too. I'm just going to have to remember not to have anything in my mouth when Biden talks, could ruin my keyboard.

I wouldn't write O off just yet, although if he has another epic fail similar to Wednesday evening, the stampede from the left will trample everything in its way. When you even lose the "New Yorker", you're in big trouble. The fight back has begun with "Romney lied!". There was a romour floating around yesterday of a campaign cash scandal on its way down the pipe. Something to do with cash from overseas. Yowzer. And more bad news from Libya keeps dribbling out. The flood may come soon. "Unnamed intelligence officers" are getting ready to throw the administration under the bus as well. Strange times in the USA

I await a flood of really negative campaign ads. I can imagine Axelrod taking Barry into the backroom and saying: "You may not like being president, but your gonna be, or else".

ET;
Town Hall might help Obama especially since he will be loobed some nice juicy ones to hit out. I suspect Romney will do the 'compare and contrast' responses which will expose Obmama well enough.

As a result of the first debate shakeout I suspect Obama's gift questions will attack Romney in a tough way. The 'boys' won't be 'hugging' after this one.

Clint Eastwood gets the last laugh.

Good on him!

Does this mean that the New Yorker is a racist publication? Someone contact the $PLC.

The Obama will have a worse performance over Foreign Policy. Mitt will probe the Russian (Putin) promises by Obama. What does Obama want hidden from Americans until after the Election?

Why did Valerie Jarret have more Security in the Hamptons (Martha’s Vineland) at the same time as the Ambassador (Stevens) to Libya was asking for, but was denied, a Air plane for a quick exit. Did the US State Dept setup Stevens for a Hostage taking that went badly?

Lynn Samuels was a far left talk radio personality who passed away last year. She always referred to Obama as a "silver tongue in an empty suit." Considering that the empty chair did better in it's debate against Eastwood than Obama did in his debate with Romney, I think Ms. Samuels was correct.

Now, with the "unemployment" rate at 7.8%, the Dem argument is they turned things around, just in time for the election, so don't turn back to the Bush days (of lower budget deficits and unemployment) now after all this suffering.

Well, OK and does this mean we don't have to off Big Bird?

As CNN pointed out there are more meaningful stats to look at than raw unemployment rates. Americans has more unemployed now, for longer durations than in recent memory and those who have found jobs have been younger/underemployed workers with part time &/or low paying jobs.

You can't create 40,000 less jobs than required by population growth alone and lower unemployment rates by almost 3.7%.

It simply doesn't make sense and is inconsistent with other measurements, so thus is a strong case for an outlier (error) report.

Is Obama seriously going to tell Romney his policies will stop the just-begun recovery? Big government will win the day just in time and tax cuts will cause tax increases? The Dems made a serious strategic error in allowing Obama to get into a numbers debate with Romney.

WRT the Town Hall Meeting. If we get a truly independent/undecided group asking questions then Romney can prevail quite nicely, but this is Obama's chance to redeem himself in a better setting. If Gallup slants the audience, watch for the master pontificator to do his thing, slinging socialist b**sh*t that is.

This election has turned into a baseball game and we're at the 7th inning stretch.

Loki: "One of the pivotal moments in this election campaign may be Clint Eastwood's interview of the empty chair. In his honor ..." I'm watching a whole pile of Clint Eastwood movies.

'Never saw a Dirty Harry movie and am working my way through them. They're not high art but Clint's a treat to the eyes -- and to the ears when he takes on the politically correct and corrupt a**holes who stand in the way of true justice for the victims as they try to coddle the bad guys.

Perfect!

'Guess everyone but me's away for the weekend!!!

'Seems that Clint's empty chair has put TVO's knickers in a knot. Last night they aired a very strange film called The Beguiled featuring a repressed group of females in a stranded Christian boarding school in the deep South who harbour a wounded Yankee soldier, played by no other than our Mr. Eastwood.

Needless to say, they all fall for this handsome interloper and, in the end, they have their revenge for his bedroom-equality-for-all by amputating his, possibly, gangrenous leg and, finally, murdering him.

I suspect that this film is the wet-dream of the Leftards: to see Eastwood humiliated, mutilated, and done away with. The Beguiled must have been a good stand-in for the real thing. ('Not a great movie, BTW!)

Leftard losers.
