Bye, Bye Dalton

Don't let the door hit you on the way out!

Here's one definition of irony: This video was published today on the Premier of Ontario's YouTube channel.

The next guy or gal will be even worse. Bet your ass.

Good riddance to the windmill king and all the stupid policies that have turned Ontario into a have not province.

Thankfully this happened before they started charging $20 to post here!"

Dang, I am so excited! Adios, Mcdoofus!

Dang, I am so excited! Adios, Mcdoofus!

Rot in hell you son of a bitch. In time it will be known his true corruption. There is no way this asshole is just incompetent.

16 years too late for Ontario. This smacks of falling on one's sword to attempt to prevent a bunch from going to jail....

STOP HIM ! STOP HIM !
Seize his passport !
.

Thank God!!
I can't even express the happiness I feel.
As Mitsouko says: Dang, I am so excited!

Once their cornered they jump and make a swim for it.

Now if Hudak would follow suit and the PCs would select a true Conservative Ontario will get back its 'have' status.

An early Christmas present.

Thanks a bunch, Santa.

But who will replace him and when will he be indicted?

I know he was first down the hawser, but can someone spread some warfarin around the docks just in case he tarries?

Careful what you wish for...Of course who could possibly have worse policies for the people of Ontario. Oh wait any other Lieberal! Beware Ontario....Oh maybe Boob Rae will run for the leadership there...That would be sweet...I'm envisioning the headlines now....Arghhhh I'm having nightmares!!!

The next leader will be further to the left. Guaranteed. But I'm not sorry to see him go.

I don't want to spike the ball, but I think this could be the result of the two snarky emails I sent his office.:)
Seriously, I'm glad to see this POS gone, but it infuriates me it was the ultimate mcguinty liberal move: doing it this way may spare any appropriate blame/shame/punishment for the power plant(s) scandal.
And, knowing my fellow Ontario voters, it will likely cleanse their dumbass palates for another big stinking helping of liberal government.

McGinty is a coward.

He must have run out of ways to pad his nest and screw the people of )Ontario. Leaving before the s#it really hits the fan.

Lotta buyer's remorse in Ontario today.

He is running from something.. and is too spinless to face it. Coward.

Makes me wonder what is up on the federal scene that he would drop the premiership.....

Pardon me, but just what do you think he will be indicted for? I mean other than being extremely stupid.

The same year that Lorne Calvert and the Saskarchewan NDP reluctantly went against their core believes of more taxes by removing the Capital Tax and lowering income taxes - an idea they made fun of when the Saskathchewan Party included it in their platform for the 2003 election - Dalton McGuinty introduced a Capital Tax to Ontario and raised income taxes. Saskatchewan became a have province and Ontario became a have not. The proof is in the punch as they say.

Prorogue the Legislature?! But that's unprecedented!!! /sarc

Prorogue the Legislature?! But that's unprecedented!!! /sarc

138 articles matching "prorogue" in a google news search, and not one of them denounces this proroguing.

Should we have expected anything more?

Hello Christy? Since you are a loyal federal Liberal, much like Dinky McGimpy, perhaps you can take a hint and take a long walk off a short pier too.

Amazing. McGimpy runs Morontario into the ground, and he bails at the first sign of trouble. Can't make any tough decisions to right the sinking ship, so he bails.

Can he be sued for negligence, or willful damages?

Doesn't etiquette and simple, common decency dictate that a Captain doesn't leave his sinking ship?

Whoops.

I forgot: McGuilty's never been particularly polite or decent, so why would anyone be surprised at this news?

Either he's ill or he's a TOTAL a**hole.

Whichever it is, seeing as he's not saying, he's a coward of the first order. Leaving a sinking ship is the act of a craven quitter, shirker, weakling, sneak, wimp -- you choose.

I have nothing but contempt for this loser. He'll live very comfortably off his public-sector pension and to Hell with the rest of us.

I have more respect for Bob Rae to at least go down in an election.

Absolutely the best decision he ever made, which is not saying much.

Hmmm, running for the leader of Lib party federally?? Wouldn't that be just dandy.

Justin Trudeau just running for the leadership has already catapulted the Liberals ahead of the NDP in the polls.

Dalton is done.

Q&A: Who is "Spinsella"?

Why is PET spelled "Pet"?

Spinsella on SunTV hinting Dahlton might take a run at the Fed Lib leadership,
Spinsella predicts he would win, distances himself from being a little Pet guy!!!"

Did Blizzard know more than she has written?

"Christina Blizzard isn’t mincing words in her latest column – Gas plant scandal should finish McGuinty Liberals:".

Hey, we have a lieberal premier we have no real use for here either. Fully UN compliant, fundamentalist CO2 fairytale believer, a dim copy of that towering intellect Joke Lark, the works.

And hardly any political miles on her. But since on average you like them more out there, we can ship her your way lickety split. Consider it our transfer payment for this year. And yup, you're welcome!

I think this old movie scene is appropriate for McGuinty, the coward. He screws up the province completely and when there is too much heat, he bails.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZwuTo7zKM8

Proroguing is okay when McGuinty does but evil when Stephen Harper does it... Quitting is noble when McGuinty does it but cowardly when Sarah Palin does it... I'm seeing a pattern here.

Is this to prevent Bentley being held in contempt or is another scandal coming down the pipe? It certainly prevents a vote of non-confidence but at the cost of what little credibility remained for the Ontario Liberals.

Mcbarfbag trips over 20,000 destroyed pages, ticked-off unions..hoping his future has a trapdoor to jail.

WoooHooo!!

Ding dong the bitch is dead, the wicked bitch, the bitch is dead, ding dong the wicked bitch is dead - am I in OZ? I wanna kiss a munchkin I'm so happy!!

As an ex-Ontarian (who would like to move back), this is still quite a joyous day.

My guess it the pile of crap he's been covering up for 10 years is about to explode and swamp the party with doodoo. I bet this green scam is so huge even he can't contain it and he's bailing for warm climates to escape incarceration.

Bad news....tomorrow he'll flip flop and say he was just kidding and that you misconstrued his resignation.

It's a sick world where this guy gets to just leave without being chased by an angry mob. Hope he thanked Eves, Tory, and Hudak for all their help.

GOOD but so much damage has been! The swarms will have to really sweat it out as to which rat in waiting can hold fortress T.O. Personally I think "WHO-DAT" should resign too and we all get to play again!

+1 for Gord! That would be vintage McGuinty.

On a more serious note, the NDP can cause major problems now, as they are sure to side with the all-powerful public sector unions. The Tories need to get themselves straightened out and replace Hudak.

Try to keep your enthusiasms under control. One of the frontrunners to take over from McGuinty is Kathleen Wynne. From the far left of the party, she will be much worse. Just think of her as a female version of George Smitherman.

Rats. And just when he was getting so close to racing Queerbec to the bottom of the socialist cess pool. Can he take Trawana with him, please.

With pencil necked Premier Dad gone does it mean there could be a chance that we could actually afford to have a light bulb on at night?
Actually...I hope the door does hit him on the arse...

Maybe he can go teach at Harvard.

"Ding dong the witch is dead!
Which old Witch? The Wicked Witch!"

I guess MINORITY government doesn't suit him. Wants to go on a high note before all the skeletons come tumbling out and the public employees union wankers all go on strike.

I'm looking forward to that myself. No traffic tickets, no government offices open, it'll be lovely.

Even more lovely will be the next election, when whatever hapless fool gets stuck with the Liberal leadership will get slaughtered at the polls like a goat at a kebab party. By then the stink of rotting scandal will be so bad even the utterly worthless Mr. Hudak won't be able to f- it up.

CONFUSION TO THE ENEMY!

Great but can we still arrest him?

Occam:

I think you are exactly right that there is too much now for the Liberals to cover up. Heads were going to roll, but the prorogue helps kill a lot of the investigations. Classy move by McGuinty just before he resigns.

I still find it unbelievable that they won the last 2 elections, but the public sector unions are all-powerful. I hope the unions get some much-needed dirt thrown on them once this mess is sorted out.

Some say good old Dalton others say F Old Dalton. The slimeball left the Taxpayers of Ontario with around 300B in debt. Anybody who votes Liberal or NDP are brain damaged....
