Benghazi: Did Politics Trump a Rescue?

Benghazi like most Libyan cities sits on the Mediterranean coast.

It would have taken a nano second to launch an attack/ rescue by air or sea by the US Navy patrolling the Libyan coastline.

In the meantime there is a small city called Bani Wald that is currently surrounded by Libya’s new pro government militias and being decimated of its inhabitants with a nearly complete western MSM blackout on the slaughter.

Am I wrong here or has the media not really reported on the fact that there was a 7 hour long firefight here. Today was the first time I heard about that.

Hillary Clinton statement - “we will make sure that the person who made that film will be arrested and prosecuted”.

Yea, and they did.

All that was necessary here, was for B. Hussien to do the right thing, pick up the phone and tell any group of Marines (there are some in Italy) within an hour of flight time to go to Benghazi, and provide security for that group of Americans in Libya. It was almost dinner time in Washington when they first received notice of the consulate being stormed. It wasn't a 3 am in Washington phone call.

He failed, and everything he and Hillary Clinton have said in this regard since 9/11 has been lies.

Goggle “United States Sixth Fleet” which has been based in Naples Italy and patrolling the Mediterranean since 1950.

During the 5 years I lived in Tripoli you could frequently spot a US warship somewhere on the horizon from Libya’s shores. Spotting US warships on a ferry from Tripoli to Malta or Italy was a give-in.

Knight 99, I was aware of some navy personal on a ship/s in the Mediterranean, but not aware of where in the Med. I imagine it'd be useful to know in the inquiry that will someday be held, to know how far away the other navy personal or marines were, in minutes. 12 minutes? 32 minutes...? The navy will know, I don't know if they're allowed to speak before 20.January.2013

but I give him a better grade on his effort to rescue the hostages, considering the technology we had at that time.

I listened to this father on the phone during his very first interview, it was heart wrenching.

He said his son had to run about a mile when the call for help came into his safe house compound.

He responded instantly.

Left his safe house-
Ran through hundreds of armed Islamic fighters to rescue his Navy Seal buddies.

Obama waited,
did nothing.
Went to bed.

As these heroes were dying he was flying to a Vegas party.

Can any American vote for Obama?

Well folks, those people have many flaws but one thing they are really, really good at - is spotting weakness and taking maximum advantage of it.

They played Peanut Boy Carter for the dunce he was for years. They clucked like chickens and released their hostages when Ronald Reagan made them part of his election platform. Experts in one-upmanship - what do these foul, low men see in cretins like Hillary Clinton and Obama? I don't see any strength there at all.

I read on Ace's site this morning that Hillary has docs to show she requested more security but was refused. Bill wants her to release the hounds, but she refuses because she doesn't want to go down in history as taking down a dem administration. This is all quotes from one of Bill and Hill's lawyers.

Hilary wants 2016 but will stomp Obama if he scapgoats her.

If this sort of thing happened under a Republican president, the media would be going apocalyptic, demanding that heads roll, that someone answer for this, that explanations be provided. The citizenry probably would too. But with this Democrat in the White House, everything gets a pass. It is a disgraceful indictment of American journalism, American politics, and the American people that the polls still show the election as razor close.

America is dangerously close to a precipice, of falling into a societal decline so steep there will be no saving her. Reelecting Obama would be the sure sign that America is totally lost; that her citizenry has become so lazy, slothful, and corrupt that she can no longer muster the will to save herself from complete ruin.

May God give the American people the wisdom to save themselves and the world from four more years of this narcissist fool in the White House.

bruce wayne riley - I don't think that Obama is blinded by ideology. Obama has no ideology; he is a pathological narcissist. He IS blinded, he IS unable to relate to the real world, but it has nothing to do with any ideas or ideology.

Obama's narcissism means that he believes that He, in His Magnificence, has ended Islamic terrorism. Therefore, any activities in the real world that counter this personal belief - well, he rejects them. Totally rejects them.

His basic mode of operation all his life, within this psychological pathology, has been to live within a virtual world, a self-authored bubble of images of Himself, where He is in total control and is superior to all. He's achieved this alienation from reality and the security of this virtual bubble, by emotional manipulation of any and all, by vigorous use of racism, and by pathological lying.

As Bolton says, Obama can't process reality, he rejects, now, the existence of Al Qaeda because his self-image is that He has conquered it. Someone as psychologically dysfunctional as Obama is cannot handle anyone or any group that might affect or control him. His response is to totally ignore it. He went to bed; he went to Vegas; and then, he said he didn't know 'what caused it'...and sent his minions out to blame it on America (the video) rather than acknowledge the reality of jihadism.

So, Bolton is right, in my view, but Obama's blindness is not caused by ideology but by psychological pathology.
