Why did Candy Crowley apparently have transcripts of the rose garden presser and why would President Obama know she had them at the last debate?

As well, anyone who watched the debate can see that Crowly and Obama had that ambush planned ahead of time. Thank goodness they executed it poorly. Now we know what the White House and the networks were hashing out on the conference call they 'accidentally' didn't invite Fox to. They must have agonized till they lit onto the idea that Obama's boilerplate reference to terror in the Rose Garden was able to be twisted to a soundbite falsehood.

The "Obama-Nation(tm)'s" lame claim that Benghazi was the result of some ginned up youtube video; doesn't stand up to scrutiny.

The Benghazi embasssy had it's wall breached back in June 2012; and still no security was stepped up.

The State Dept. has disavowed any inference that the Benghazi attack on the 9/11 anniversary had anything to do with a video. Within 24 hours this was recognized as an 'act of terrorism'. The professional security apparatus and staff recognized this instantly.

During this afternoon’s hearings on the Benghazi assault, Lt Col dropped two more significant statements regarding the security situation in Libya. Col Wood said that after the British pulled out their personnel and the Red Cross departed Libya, the US was the “last flag flying” in the country. That, said Lt Col Wood, made US personnel the “last targets” on the terrorists’ list to attack and to drive from the country.

During questioning regarding when the Obama administration knew that the attack was a terrorist assault and not a response to a YouTube clip, Ambassador Patrick Kennedy said that he was working from the same information which Ambassador Susan Rice was working from when she appeared on five political talk shows on Sept 16 to strongly argue that the sacking was not a terrorist attack, but resulted from a protest. Kennedy had, on Sept 12, told several members of Congress that he believed that the attack was terrorism because of the “nature” and “lethality” of the attack.

Lt Col Wood capped the discussion, saying that based on his prior experience that the sacking of the US consulate was “instantly recognizable” as a terrorist attack.

So the chain of command passes on the information and the "Obama-Nation(tm)" decides this information doesn't fit his 'world view' and attempts to take a pass; and is now getting called out on scapegoating a video; rather than his own failures, which contributed to the death of 4 citizens, including his ambassador.

As Harry S Truman said, "The buck stops here." So it well and truly will, sometime on Nov. 6th. 2012.

Obama's debate response ad / attack line is now "binders full of women". I expect the polls will continue to move in Romney's direction. Pretty astonishing to see a US president reduced to this.

A couple of random thoughts regarding the election.

First, it'll be extremely pleasant to watch the grandees of the MSM, the likes of Chris "Leg Tingles" Mathews have to announce that Mitt Romney has won the election, has beaten Obama.

Second, in the time between the election and the inauguration, Obama & Co. will go on a spree of corruption and sabotage. The MSM will aid and abet by continuing to look the other way. New Media will be the only hope of focusing the light on this criminality.

Ed Henry just on FNC saying that if Barry O knew it was terror from the beginning, why would he then take off to Vegas to campaign and fund raise. Henry also asks why that if O knew it was terror in the Rose Garden, why would it be necessary to wait two weeks, to determine what actually happened, before actually stating it to be terror and not the so called movie trailer video.

Obama does not want to admit it was muzzie terrorists because (1) will hurt his re-election chances (2) he has a soft spot for muzzies. It is as simple as that.

So good men can die under His watch and He is quite prepared to try and cover up the cause because He is the only thing that matters. A shallow, empty man and a narcissist to the core.

Stop for a moment to fully understand how little the Obama regime thinks of its core supporters specifically and the American people generally. Even though the events surrounding the Sept. 11th attack in Benghazi are RECENT news, they believe that they can con everyone into thinking that the whole "this was all about the anti-Muslim video" narrative never happened.

We truly are living in Bizarro-land with Grifters firmly clenched to the Controls of Power.

Speaking of wagging the dog: from the moment 'the detaining' was aired of the so-called film maker of the cheesy anti-Mo film, I wondered if that was staged. His face was covered, it was too easy to 'film' the actions of those 'sheriff deputies'. Just who was that masked stranger?

it will be interesting to see how long Billary sits back muffled. Wonder just how loyal they are.

It boils down to this....they think they can fool the people....but are only fooling themselves...the polls indicate the voters are not that easily fooled....the fools yes....

That second link is the interesting one. I'm not a conspiracy theorist and, quite frankly, don't have much time for serial conspiracy theorists either.

That said, each one of the circumstances listed in that post can probably be explained or shrugged off as meaningless (e.g. of course Michelle Obama was leading the clapping because she's a rude, entitled wife of a rude, entitled man).

That instance of where Obama directed his attention toward "the undecided questioner" Kerry did raise my attention, however. Now, that could be explained on its own by Obama noticing Kerry receiving the microphone, or if Candy Crowley or one of the producers motioned toward the supposedly anonymous man in the audience. That said, the post is also correct that Obama's body language gives it away: Obama is looking right at the man, and then he starts to look around like he doesn't know where he's supposed to be looking, and then asks the man his name when he already said it.

Combine that with the question structure, the specific phrases used, how Obama asked for the transcript from the moderator (when he has never prompted the moderator for any of his other supposed "facts" or statements in this or any other debate before), and other tells, leads me to think that something was fishy going on.

That the man was already an Obama supporter is of no surprise, however. I automatically assume every one of the questioners in these "town hall" forums are pre-selected by a liberal media because, frankly, no one wants to see a gap-toothed redneck Teabagger spout off a racist, misogynist, and homophobic diatribe on national television.

Maybe Crowley didn't have a transcript of the Rose Garden speech, but she appeared to look down at something. My thesis is she was tipped off, IOW was fed this info that the president mentioned terror (not not terror attack, pardon the semantics) in his speech.

Either way she didn't do her debate job properly. She either tipped the scales towards the president by being accessible to the Dems beforehand, or, just as bad IMO, she accepted what the president said without considering any context, though that should be no surprise to anyone who has seen her in action before.

As stated earlier Obama has simply postponed the inevitable, that even if his administration knew AQ was responsible for the Bengazi attack (note-they should have because it was common knowledge), they refused to state it was and are trying to use weasel words, a motherhood tag on to the speech about US never giving into terrorism, to close their circle.

It's precarious at best and all Romney has to do in debate3 is get Obama to admit he knew all along AQ was responsible and then explain why he, his spokesman, sec of state and UN ambassador went out of their way to blame this attack on a spontaneous (no it wasn't anyway) ME reaction to an obscure video trailer.

Either way he looks like an idiot. The real story is the administration's asleep at the switch approach to increased or continued security requirements in Libya, which was refused by the sec of state/state department. Obama, like Clinton, can't simply say they take responsibility and then walk away unscathed. Unfortunately for them they can't blame this on on Bush and the Dem dominated Congress, though they may try.

Romney should state that the disengagement of the Obama administration to ME affairs, including showing no leadership on Syria or Iran, led to this fatal result with an emboldened AQ, retaliating for a drone attack - it's analogous to the Clinton approach of firing off the odd cruise missile while disengaged/uninterested in the AQ buildup and emboldenment which led directly to 9/11. Of course, they already blamed that one on Bush.

In summary, s**t happens Mr President, we all understand that, but failure to act, when his administration should have known better out of 9/11 lessons, led directly to the death of the ambassador in Libya. Romney should make him aplogize to the American people at debate3.

The MSM facilitators will be hesitant to run interference again now that they have been significantly outed, notwithstanding Obama's lame argument the GOP is "politicizing" the Libya incident. Sorry, forcing people to be accountable is not politicizing, now that the facts are finally in.

In any event, the aura/narrative of Obama as a nice guy who is or is not a good president is now officially finished. He, though he had no choice in debate2 IMO, showed himself not to be feisty and combatative, but quite nasty and willing to play word games over the loss of US diplomatic personnel.

He no longer gets a pass with his phoney narrative that his administration, which apparently is as good as Lincoln's, is just now turning things around after the Bush/Dem Congress mismanagement, because the Dems are at least as equally guilty for mismanagement (the combined Dem/GOP statism has added $9 trillion to the federal debt) and frankly, things are not turning around - they're getting worse in fact.

Romney must now reinforce and pound home the idea that America needs to get back to work and the domestic and international failures of the empty chair are not cutting it so, as Clint Eastwood stated, we have to let Mr Obama go. IOW it's going to get real nasty with more accusations of "binder blunders" and so on; so be it. The election war is full on now and there are no nice guys; they finish last anyway.

I wonder how much the Obama administration paid CNN to reveal that they had sent journalists to the burned out Benghazi consulate(a place the FBI couldn't get to) and these CNN journalists had, embarassingly enough to the Obama Admn, recovered deceased Ambassador Stevens' diary and revealed from it that the late Embassador had written about his requests to State for enhanced security and his fears about being in the Benghazi consulate.

Just a point of clarity showing Obama’s stupidity: The Obama administration got cute with the Fast & Ferious gun running program that Killed a US border agent. Funny how Crowley cut Mitt off when he started to outline F&F.

The Movie trailer was a "UN faked inititive" meant to create demonstrations at our Embassies in attempt to hi-light our 1st amendment rights. These demonstrations were meant to be non-violent controlled by Embassy staff, no Marines, no bullets etc.

Obama needs to explain why he went ahead and played his part in the UN game after our Ambassador was killed. Was his trip to Vegas a meeting of the traitors? A beer Summit?

I knew it was a setup right away. It was so poorly done I can't believe they thought it would work. The real tell is "proceed governor..." with that look. Come on.

Crowley started shuffling the papers in front of her as soon as Romney started speaking on this, searching for one paper in particular. When she said "check the transcript" she held up one of the papers she had been shuffling - she had brought the transcript to the debate.

I believe she had the transcript in front of her all along - this was a setup from the word go and she was a part of it.

Her "correction" later had no where near the number of viewers as the debate itself and they (Crowley and the Dems) knew that would be the case when they set this up.

Any questions in anyone's mind still that the MSM is in the tank for the big zero?

I’ve watched the Rose Garden part of the “debate” quite a lot:

Obama DID NOT answer the question asked, “Who denied enhanced security and why?” Zer0 didn’t even attempt to answer. He simply grandstanded (grandstood?). I wish that the questioner, Kerry Ladka, had challenged him on this.

Romney did much better than he’s been portrayed. He effectively attacks both Zer0’s ME policy and his pathetic response to the Libya attack.

THEN, as the Rose Garden hasn’t been mentioned, Crowley actually keeps up the Libya meme by asking Zer0 about the responsibility of Hilary.

Zer0 uses this opportunity to tell a load of sickening lies about the “integrity” of his team and the “fact” that they did not play politics with the Libya attack, while castigating Romney in the most despicable way. (Romney remains silent as he’s being bullied/lectured as if he were a kindergarten bully.) (As usual, Zer0 also makes a basic grammatical error: “No one’s more interested in finding out . . . than I do.” Just great, Mr. President.)

Then Zer0, himself, introduces his talk in the Rose Garden on September 12. (The set up)

Notice that Candy Crowley then appears to ignore Romney, speaking right in front of her, while she carefully arranges some papers in front of her. (That would be the transcript, which she’ll soon be asked to produce. She’s all set.)

Then Zer0 continues his record of telling whoppers by saying, bluntly, that he called Benghazi an act of terror in his comments in the Rose Garden.

When Romney confronts him on this lie, Obama looks smug, as he condescendingly and CONFIDENTLY says to him, “Please proceed, Governor.” (I’m pretty sure he knows what’s going to happen next, as it’s pretty clear that he and Candy have rehearsed this ambush.)

Romney sceptically continues, by saying that he wants “to make sure we get that [the president’s statement that he called Benghazi an “act of terror” in the Rose Garden on September 12] for the record”.

At that point, to totally undermine the impeccably correct Romney, Obama gives Crowley the shout out, “Get the transcript.”

Crowley complies and, as she lifts up what I guess is the transcript, she then tells Mitt that the president actually did “in fact, sir, call it an act of terror. Let me [@#*??] call it an act of terror. . .”

Then Zer0 called out, “Can you say that a little louder, Candy?”

Then the “undecided” voters in the audience, as well as Michelle, boorishly and altogether against the rules, started laughing (at Mitt) and clapping.

What an utterly disgusting episode.

And Zer0’s such an idiot and so sure of his minuscule self, that he actually let the cat out of the bag: he let everyone know that not only did Candy have the Rose Garden transcript, but that he knew she had it for him—all ready, after they set up their ambush. As I said, how utterly disgusting.

I hope that American voters have finally figured out what a liar, cheat, and contemptuous moral pygmy they have occupying the WH. Then they’d better vote this impostor OUT!

The absolute look of astonishment on Romney's face was the "other tell", he was naive enough to think that the media wouldn't cover for a bald faced lie by the President in front of the tv audience. Expect Romney to come out in the next debate and completely eviscerate Obama!
