While I subscribe to the realpolitik viewpoint I believe this is something that we should leave well enough alone. To paraphrase PET, the opposing party(s) have no place in the convention hall of the other. That said, if one isn't a card carrying member of another party, then game on.

I think I felt a tinkle run down my leg. First I thought it was Craig Oliver channeling Chris Matthews, then I realized it was just one too many beers. I am now officially a Liberal 'Supporter' and my actions speak for themselves.

As soon as I saw the word "progressive" in their pitch it made me think of everything that has turned to sh!t in this country since Trudeau senior had control. The nuts don't fall far from the tree. Entertaining start.

Oh dear, I lied a little when I denied membership in another party. Naughty naughty - but lying is the Liberal thing to do, isn't it?

The comment about "Fred Hitler" is amusing, Adolf had a number of relatives who didn't amount to very much. One ran a boarding house in Berlin. Another, named Donald, was a waiter in London during WWII, and was quite cooperative with Allied psychiatrists when they were constructing a profile of Adolf [but I don't see a mention of him in the relevant Wikipdia article].

One of the comments at the London Free Press article cited above, from a certain Leila Paul, included the statement,
"But there is a huge brain trust at the Liberal party who will be there to help Trudeau until he find his own legs and balance."

At one time maybe; although even at best the number of brains wasn't large but did make up in quality what was lacking in quantity.
Now, however, it seems pretty small, let us say: the corporate lawyer who heads the organization, and the obnoxious lawyer - Warren Kinsella -
who boasted that he was the intelligence behind Jean Chretien's campaigns; and liked to look for swastikas in mens' lavatories.

This really goes without saying, but if the Lib$ are entertaining Justin Trudeau as their leader, it shows how far in the dregs this political party has sunk -- and how few other prospects there are. (Any Liberal with any gravitas doesn't want to touch the leadership with a 100-foot pole, so with all of his other deficits, Trudeau Jr. represents the greatly lowered expectations of this has-been party and its media lapdogs.)

'No experience in the real world, 'cossetted by his Daddy's bank account, 'a supply drama teacher for crying out loud for, what, a year?, 'not a great speaker, as he has nothing to speak about ...
