About 70% of the American deficit is “bought” directly or through the banking system by the Treasury’s 100% subsidiary, the Federal Reserve, and the minimal interest paid on it is recycled back through the Federal Reserve to the Treasury, so the cost of borrowing is zero. It is the ultimate Ponzi scheme, the fiscal nirvana of endless, mountainous debt, rendered easily bearable because it doesn’t cost anything. It is a fraud, a mirage. It all possesses the hypnotic allure of the Gotterdammerung — as the Gods ascend to a burning Valhalla. If this administration is re-elected, Canada, as it has for the entire mighty spectacle of the inexorable rise of the United States, will have the ring-side seat for a disaster.

If this administration is re-elected, Canada, as it has for the entire mighty spectacle of the inexorable rise of the United States, will have the ring-side seat for a disaster.
Not only a ring side seat, but a sleigh ride right along with them into the pit. With the rest of the West not far behind.
There is no trade in a lawless World.
Just ask the Vikings. The dark age was called that for a reason. Bandits ruled the highways & byways.
With no central power keeping the peace, war became the new way to accumulate any wealth.
Most progress ceased. People lived on the edge of livability. Land was abandoned. For who could keep it safe from barbarians except outposts run by autocrats.
Hence serfdom. Never think where immune to the past. It won't be the same but the pattern itself becomes the model.
Amen Rev. ... and C. Black.
Found the inspiration for the new "Obama flag" the DNC is promoting:
http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/09/bloodstained-walls-at-consulate-reveal-americans-were-dragged-from-building-before-their-death/blood-libya-2/
Kind of fits with the theme of the post (and might be how we get taken out if America were to fall).
That's a great column.
He's too hard on Romney, IMO -- it's like he's getting his impression from what the media allows to filter through about Romney's message -- but it's a great column.
A tie in the polls means Obama is losing - possibly badly. The Obama doctrine is in tatters in the ME - and many - including some in the MSM are now realizing that the US interests in much of the world are under siege and that the Obama administration is at best paralyzed but more likely in denial. Look for Romney to take the lead in polls by the end of this week.
And once Obama looks to be the loser, the knives in the dem party will come out.
I keep hoping the MSM will awaken one morning and perceive the disaster awaiting America if Obama is re-elected. Nobody can seriously believe that Obama is better equipped to handle a failing economy.
This is not a brain child of Conrade Black and he should give credit to Dr. Ron Paul for doing his best to bring this information to public attention. Dr. Paul has been speaking to a vacumn between the ears gang(on both sides of the aisle in Congress) for years -decades!!
Romney never addresses the Great American Problem: the Fed. Many intrepid economists (eg. Peter Schiff) and some Patriots have been ringing the alarm bells for years but most people dwell on Romney's millions (instead asking about a plan) and Obama's wealth distribution idea (instead of questioning him about his past and his drones slaughting people in Pakistan, his cronies in 'green businesses, his terrorist pals - some now mini Tsars -, his NDDA use, his 'hit list' his lies).
Dr. Paul was the only Man in the election race; the people of America chose to watch and cheer for the boys in middle school, mudslinging and trying on their first pair of long pants. Pray to the Good Lord for America and, as Revnant Dream has written above, we should pray for Canada and the rest of the world too.
Romney is already in the lead save for the feckless MSM fraudulent polls. Tea party activism all across the country is working very hard, with little comment in the media whatsoever. But it IS there. THEY , if no one else, know what is at stake and intend to put Romney over the line to victory. As Mark Steyn said to Michael Coren, Romney had better have a good spread in a win in order to get a legitimate mandate. Otherwise the dems will scream for at least 4 years about how 'illegitimate' he is.
I do not think it will matter what the spread is, though I do agree with Mark that it SHOULD be a hefty one. I think no matter what , if O loses, they are prepared to fight. In the courts and in the streets to wrest any win away from Republicans. They HAVE to have this win or it all goes for naught. And they know it.
In other words the dems need a damn good beating at the polls to send the message home to them: ENOUGH! Be gone!
Oh my SWEET JESUS. Is he for real???
Obama inherited an economic disaster not seen since the depression. Of course the debt went up to offset it. It could be paid down they just have to tax creeps like Romney who don't pay as much in taxes as the middle class.
Furthermore, Romney has in no way proven that he has a clue to pay down the debt and balance the budget since no economist will step forward to support his plan.
But hey, of course you guys would listen to a dude who's Done time in the joint for ripping people off. Why wouldn't you?

I do believe some have been drinking their own bathwater to have posted such utter drivel and nonsense.
As for Conrad Black, the only person 'ripping people off' was the former head of the SEC who took over Black's company and raided it to the tune of 100 million that he benefited from personally. Yet it was Black who went to jail for taking files from his own office.
His endictment and conviction was to effect a take over of a company others wanted.
What is going on in the states is the end game of ruining the mighty capitalist entity for the global governance so long sought after.

I disagree with all of you. Yes Obama is the absolute worst President that the USA ever produced. Yes Romney although lacking charisma will do a very workman like job of turning the US around. But his job would be nigh impossible to do. Changing Romney for Obama the empty suit on an empty chair, would be like firing the captain of the Titanic after it hit the iceberg and letting the new captain manage the disaster as it sank beneath the waves, and go down with the ship. The outcome will not change. The EU is finished, the ME is in flames, the Total debt of the USA is around 70 Trillion. Japan is done, and those that think China will save them should always keep in mind, that China has 25% of the world's mouths to feed, 6% of the world's potable water and 7% of the world's arable land. And they have been running their own Chinese Counterfieting scam just like the US Fed. We are entering a new dark age and a very dangerous period in world history. A prudent man and people would prepare accordingly. It will be brutal and very bloody.
A PS: "There are two points to all this: First, financial crises produce geopolitical crises. So what we’re seeing is in general terms what we should expect after borrowing tens of trillions of dollars in the past few decades. A bankrupt world is an unstable world.
Second, geopolitical instability just strengthens the investment thesis that derives from excessive debt. In uncertain times, real assets that aren’t someone else’s liability are much better bets than paper promises — and self sufficiency is safer than dependence on government." John Rubino.
In my more pessimistic moments I almost hope obozo wins. I'm not sure Romney or anybody can turn it around and I'd sooner see the Democrats wear this disaster.
Optimistic scenario: Romney wins and begins the hard work of fiscal sanity, thus sparing millions of people a lot of upheaval and misery.
" ....Of course the debt went up to offset it. It could be paid down they just have to tax creeps like Romney who don't pay as much in taxes as the middle class."
What's a trillion wasted here and a trillion to my political donors there, it's the socialist way! Unfortunately, no debt has been offset by Obama's out-of-control spending. It's been compounded.
And Romney not paying his share of taxes? Have you been listening to Harry Reid again? ;)
Oh Canada - If we all hate you, and you all hate us, why come here in the first place? I think you would be much happier if you went back to Iran. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
john, what an incredibly ignorant statement.
Romney pays 20% of his income in federal taxes. This income comes primarily from investments. These investments have already been taxed at 35%. Got that? So, the source of wealth, the investment firm, produces money. This money is taxed TWICE. Got that? Once at 35%. And then, for each individual it goes to, at 20%. That's, hmm, 55%. OK?
Then, he gives 30% of his income to charity. So, 50% of his income is 'redistributed'. OK?
That's a far better method of redistribution than by 'giving' it to the government in taxes, for the government's money goes, let's see..
.to salaries for more and more public employees, and to the public service unions which grab their take from those same salaries and then, give this money back to the Democratic Party. Do you approve of this?
And to various 'make-work' projects such as the bridge to nowhere. And to other trivia, which I'm sure you strongly support such as hiring people to make rules forbidding tractors from making dust, and hiring people to rewrite the WH history texts online to include The Great Leader in every section.
Oh, and speaking of your ignorance, if you check out the Wall Street Journal you'll find a list of over 400 economists who have publicly declared their support for Romney's 'bold economic plan for America'. Five are Nobel laureates. Go ahead. Read it. I dare you. And now, tell us again that 'no economist will step forward to support his plan'. Facts are important, john, even if you, like Obama, have no interest in them.
Dispite some faults, Ron Paul was the only guy who was willing to deal with this situation properly. And you all know it.
But you neo-cons were too busy howling like Leftists about "anti-semitism". Enjoy your Mittens and your war with Iran.
John, channelling Nancy Pelosi won't get you through the gates of Heaven. Look more closely at the Clinton years to see the seeds of the economic mess the US is in.
You might also review the recently released tax info Romney gave out. You might might be surprised at what he pays in tax, and how much he gives to charity without claiming it for tax write-offs. Being a Mormon has its downside...
Of course, shame on him for having the ability to invest, make jobs and make money in the first place, its so not the American way ....(/sarc)
Regardless, I still don't care much for Con Black.
The website, 'Economists for Romney' lists at the moment, 654 economists in the US who have signed in support of Romney's Economic Plan.
'The plan is based on proven principles: a more contained and less intrusive federal government, a greater reliance on the private sector, a broad expansion of opportunity without government favors for special interests, and respect for the rule of law including the decision-making authority of states and localities'.
The web site is very specific and lists the key points of Romney's plan, which include:
•Reduce marginal tax rates on business and wage incomes and broaden the tax base to increase investment, jobs, and living standards.
•End the exploding federal debt by controlling the growth of spending so federal spending does not exceed 20 percent of the economy.
•Restructure regulation to end “too big to fail,” improve credit availability to entrepreneurs and small businesses, and increase regulatory accountability, and ensure that all regulations pass rigorous benefit-cost tests.
•Improve our Social Security and Medicare programs by reducing their growth to sustainable levels, ensuring their viability over the long term, and protecting those in or near retirement.
•Reform our healthcare system to harness market forces and thereby reduce costs and increase quality, empowering patients and doctors, rather than the federal bureaucracy.
•Promote energy policies that increase domestic production, enlarge the use of all western hemisphere resources, encourage the use of new technologies, end wasteful subsidies, and rely more on market forces and less on government planners.
It then goes on to criticize Obama's actions, which I won't call a plan
'In stark contrast, President Obama has failed to advance policies that promote economic and job growth, focusing instead on increasing the size and scope of the federal government, which increases the debt, requires large tax increases, and burdens business with many new financial and health care regulations'.
Black is right. Obama's actions are disastrous. Oh, and John, when someone inherits an economic disaster, created in large part by the Democratically held Congress and their house-for-votes scheme, their JOB is to deal with it. Not complain.
And not be so incredibly dumb as to think that the taxes AND charity donations of the 1 or even 25% of wealth-producers in the US will pay off 16 trillion dollars, five of which Obama and only Obama, created all by his mega-watt smile.
Johnny T, you are so confused. In any case, unless there is an Iran spring, war with Iran is inevitable regardless of who sits in the WH.
John, here's some highlights of Romney's tax for 2011:
Regarding the newly-filed 2011 Tax Return:
-In 2011, the Romneys paid $1,935,708 in taxes on $13,696,951 in mostly investment income.
-The Romneys’ effective tax rate for 2011 was 14.1%.
-The Romneys donated $4,020,772 to charity in 2011, amounting to nearly 30% of their income.
-The Romneys claimed a deduction for $2.25 million of those charitable contributions. …
Regarding the PWC letter covering the Romneys’ tax filings over 20 years, from 1990 – 2009:
-In each year during the entire 20-year period, the Romneys owed both state and federal income taxes.
-Over the entire 20-year period, the average annual effective federal tax rate was 20.20%.
-Over the entire 20-year period, the lowest annual effective federal personal tax rate was 13.66%.
-Over the entire 20-year period, the Romneys gave to charity an average of 13.45% of their adjusted gross income.
-Over the entire 20-year period, the total federal and state taxes owed plus the total charitable donations deducted represented 38.49% of total AGI.
During the 20-year period covered by the PWC letter, Gov. and Mrs. Romney paid 100 percent of the taxes that they owed.
The charitable donation value over the 20 year period has been estimated to be about $50,000,000.
That would be more to charity then the entire Occupy movement worldwide paid in tax in their lifetime.
This site, 'Economists for Romney' is an excellent source of hard data and facts. For example,
'The national debt has increased by $5.38 trillion or 51 percent since President Obama took office.
The national debt did not reach $5.3 trillion until 1997, during President Clinton’s second term. It took President Obama just over 3 ½ years to rack up as much debt as 42 other American presidents combined.
Under President Obama’s own budget proposal, national debt will continue to rise by over $9 trillion dollars in the next ten years, reaching $25.3 trillion by 2022.'
The site goes on to list, with specific data, the unprecedented spending increases, the failed stimulus, the Democratic refusal to pass a budget during the entire first term of Obama.
The site links to the specific GOP outlines of dealing with the debt, the spending, the budget and the reforms needed.
John, could you provide details how Obama's increase of the debt dealt with the economic problem? How, by increasing the debt, do you enable the growth of wealth? Don't you realize the contradiction, when most of your taxes go to service that debt rather than services for the people?
Look on the bright side. When the US economy goes down the tubes to Obama Nirvanaland we won't have to listen to the ravings of the Eco greenie fruits & nutters who want to build windmills and solar panels everywhere as shrines to Gaia love.
You are entirely right Gord, I have been telling all the Obamabots around me that believe the Fried Piper medias narrative of,"he's ahead in the polls", that their guy is gonna lose, and big time lose, the useless dull cheerleader media is trying their damnest to prop up a voter trap, with this weak dim twig and it is not going to work. The media has obviously watched the episode of James Bond far to much, the one with the evil Elliot Carver dude that ran the world with his news headlines, well to the Andrea Mitchells and the Canadian follower media types "Herald" etc, and the other assorted swelled heads with pea brains, it will be fun watching your magnificent ships of s..t sink also.
VDH is mug sympatico with. Conrad.
"With the implosion of the Middle East comes the end of the mythic foreign policy of Barack Obama. Just as Russia was not reset and our enemies did not become friends, so, too, the fantasy that Barack Obama’s name, race, and lineage, when coupled with leftist politics, would win over our Middle East never arrived. All that failed — failed not just for America, but for the Nobel laureate himself. In that regard, Obama’s entire four-year project has failed: $5 trillion of borrowed stimulus did not jump-start the economy; only more federal debt and bankruptcy followed “solar and wind and millions of green jobs,” as vast new finds of oil and gas on public lands were ignored, while gas hit $4 a gallon. The problem for supporters of Obamacare is not to implement, but how to junk, this boondoggle without loss of face. Government Motors and the Volt went nowhere, and appointees like Eric Holder, Kathleen Sebelius, Timothy Geithner, and Janet Napolitano proved embarrassments. Now we are left with the Federal Reserve desperately printing money before the election.
There was human frenzy in 2008 that entranced millions, and now we will be paying for the wages of that madness for quite some time."
http://pjmedia.com/victordavishanson/obamas-middle-east-delusions/4/
Expect a wild lame-duck session. The word "lawless" comes to mind.
ET: That's good news but don't ever forget that the overwhelming majority of these economists are Keynesian "court economists". BTW, Gary North pointed out that Mises.org ranks 17,000 in a website ranking vs. about 150,000 for the most prestigious economics organization whose name escapes me. SO, establishment economics is on the run as people start understanding the criminal enterprise that is the gubment/bank cartel counterfeiting operation.
As Jema 54 (who should probably drop the DOCTOR) points out in reference to Ron Paul, no one is referring to the urgent need to abolish the FED. We don't need central planning for money any more than we do for lettuce.
EBD: I agree, Black is too hard on Romney here. But let's remember that he doesn't get everything right. He argued, for example, that FDR "saved capitalism" which is quite possibly the dumbest statement I've ever read.
Gord Tulk: I think you're right. Recall, Carter was ahead of Reagan by 6 points just a couple months before the Reagan landslide. It is no exaggeration to say that MSM is Pravda redux.
Disaster? Good heavens, Lord Black, Obama's joining Nicolae Ceausescu and Salvador Allende---with a long-overdue purging of America's institutions of traitors and communists and parasites not far behind---won't be a disaster. It'll be the greatest day for Christian civilization since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
This much I agree on---I've been saying it here for a while---Obama will be re-elected. His real problem will be finishing his second term alive, in one piece and a free man.
(Also---stop trying to flatter the French Canadians. You know better.
Remember too that if it weren't for the French Canadians, we wouldn't be saddled with Barack Obama as President of the United States. There wouldn't be a United States. Had the American soldiers who had won Canada with their blood been rewarded appropriately and the French driven into the St. Lawrence, the Americans would have been much less tempted to rebel. British North America would even now be united, loyal, and free.)
Gord Tulk the insomniac said: "A tie in the polls means Obama is losing - possibly badly."
Absolutely. In a rigged poll, with rigged questions, with a rigged, unrepresentative sample that has DemocRats over-counted by ~20%...
...Barry comes out tied with Romney.
Barry got an American ambassador KILLED in Libya. Through sheer, stunning incompetence. Its not on the news, but everybody still knows about it. Wogs are burning down American embassies on 9/11 no less. Barry's blaming a Z-list film maker from California and making him do the Perp Walk on TV, despite no laws being broken.
Barry -doubled- the US national debt in three years. Doubled it. They owe TWICE as much money as they did three years ago. We're talking squadrons of container ships full of $100 bills here.
Polls are tied? Amazingly crooked-biased-illegitimate-liarliarpantsonfire polls are -tied-?
Let us not forget that the authors and purveyors of those polls, the MSM, are bleeding red ink and audience like a whale hit with a torpedo.
Let us not forget the election of 2010, wherein even the safest DemocRat seats were overturned and Republicans elected. The Senate seat of the Revered Teddy Kennedy, given in perpetuity to the DemocRat Party, is now comfortably held by a Republican. (He's a RINO true enough, but he's still not a DemocRat.)
And Barry is -tied- with Romney. Romney, the plastic banana rich guy.
Therefore I would venture that even if Barry -scrapes- through with the support of every dog pound and cemetery in the USA, he will be reduced to petulantly posturing on TV programs with no viewers while the Republican Congress and Senate repeal every damn thing the DemocRats have done since Kennedy stole the election from Nixon.
Which they will do out of pure spite if nothing else.
Has Obama stated any reason for his re-election yet? Did I miss it? Just wonderin'...
The Phantom = a pithy Conrad Black.
"Black went to jail for taking files from his own office"
No. He went to jail for at fraud and diverting funds to his own accounts. The dirty little incident you are referring to was his attempt to obstruct justice. By your logic, a murderer is within his rights to attempt to hide his crime so long as it's on his property. Nice.
Economist don't support Romney, because they have no idea how he will pay down this debt without no new taxes, just cuts, but they don't add up to his claims. The numbers don't cut it. He's hoping for magic to happen, or so-called voodoo economics. Obama will likely raise taxes on the very wealthy to pay down the debt, much like his Democratic predecessor, Bill Clinton, and was well on his way to paying down the debt before your boy George royally pooched everything by starting a bunch of expensive wars and destroying the economy.
http://factcheck.org/2012/09/romneys-economic-exaggerations-2/
And as for this gem that Romney pays 20% in taxes... try 13%. You will find this in many, many places, but here is a link to a paper that speaks your language:
http://news.nationalpost.com/2012/09/22/romney-limited-income-tax-deductions-in-2011-to-conform-to-13-claim-trustee/
Most rubes are taken in by conmen before they get caught, not after their reputation has been outed and they've done jail time. But not you guys. Nope. You are suckers till the bitter end. You've eaten so much rightwing horsesh!t that there is no way you can turn back now. Nope. You just accept that the commie mooslem in the white house is bent on destroying the world for whitey.
So for anybody who is thinking of not voting because your favorite didn't get nominated, or writing in a candidate who can't win, imagine this:
SUPREME COURT JUSTICE ERIC HOLDER?
OMG
Revnant Dream ...
Moors of Andalusia would argue that Vikings were much more advanced than the savage part of Europe under influence of Christianity. One can only wonder how a personal hygiene would look like today without Viking contribution.
Xiat "One can only wonder how a personal hygiene would look like today without Viking contribution."
WTF? Personal hygiene? Vikings? WTF?
Conrad Black was convicted because he was rich and a case was presented to a jury. Any rich person would have done. The supposed obstruction of justice took place in Canada which did not lay any charges. According to the story, all the files had been copied, were all personal and Hollinger had asked Black to get them. That's not much of an obstruction.
Well the way I see it....
Polls that canvass DEMONcRATs are meaningless/irrelevant propaganda...vote suppression.
It is probable that voter fraud...dead, dogs, felons, illegals, and "vote early and often" combined will rigged electronic voting machines and late mailed absentee ballots elected the "won".
The Wisconsin recall elections showed all these process at work but TEA PARTY infuriate the DEMONcRATs because they fly "under the radar".
Expect violence on the order of the MENA riots...or worse...if/when OBOZO loses. Cool November weather may suppress that though.

I've provided you with a web site that totally contradicts your claim that 'economists don't support Romney'. The FACT that over 600, including 5 Nobel laureates, support Romney's specific plan, contradicts your claim. I wonder why you continue to make such a fictional claim. Facts trump fiction, john and why do you insist on fiction?
Second, you claim that Obama's tax on the wealthy will solve the debt, when this has been laughed out of its fictional realm. Nope. It won't work.
You also ignore that Obama increased the debt by 5 million, much, much more than Bush ever did. Hmm. Why do you ignore this? And don't try the counterfactual fiction that 'without the stimulus there'd be a depression'. That's false.
Why do you claim that Romney has 'no idea how to pay down this debt without no new taxes just cuts'. But Romney doesn't say this; I provided an exact quote on his plan for you. You either didn't bother to read it or, you are indifferent to facts and prefer to stick to your fictional account.
The statement of 20% of his income in federal taxes is a FACT. This is the average over 20 years, and he never paid less than 13.66%.
And, for some odd reason, john, you ignore that investment income has already been taxed at 35%, and this money, when it goes to the individual, is taxed yet again, at the individual rate, which is anywhere from 13.66 to 20%. Strange that you ignore these facts about double taxing of investment income. Why?
You also ignore that Romney donates 30% of his income to charity. This is a voluntary 'tax on income'. Strange, you again ignore this fact.
Now, you enjoy insulting everyone here, john. And you prefer falsehoods and fiction to fact. You also ignore whatever doesn't fit into your fictional narrative. Why?
Perhaps Tubby Black is getting back at his Bilderberg pals for under-busing him by spilling the beans about one of their many Banking coups.
The Fed has been the cause of America's economic woes since it was formed but in the last two decades it has been openly committing fraud and damaging the economy as if congressional oversight didn't exist (and it really doesn't). As long as the Fed is allowed to control the US credit and currency supply , America's dollar (and by default all currencies pegged to it) have a very bleak economic future.

Although I respect Black's opinions, for the most part, I sense a lot of schadenfreude in his columns since his release and those produced while doing time. I think he was railroaded to an extent, but he has since had nothing good to say about G.W. Bush., and I suspect that is because he didn't get a pardon when Bush left the White House. That said, I get no pleasure whatsoever, watching, what may be the demise of the U.S.A.. This does not bode well for Canada, we have been blessed having them for a neighbour, and though they will remain indomitable for some time, it is going to be a rough ride, and I think Harper has sensed this and acted accordingly.
ET don't bother trying to reason with John. He using falacial argument, fixating on a 13.something % number as "proof" that Romney doesn't pay as much tax as middle class workers.
No he just pays way more tax than about 10 middle class workers earn in a year! Oh, well let's just ignore that - a "sin of omission" a university prof I had said this sin was the worst of all and would be judged most harshly by him because it is inherently and intentionally dishonest and designed to deceive and cover poor reasoning.
Look at John's claim that Obama inherited the worst financial mess since the Great Depression. This is based on what information? Well, nothing, just a feeling.
And who did he inherit the economy from? Well, from a Democrat controlled Congress (House 2006-2010, Senate since 2006). It's amazing how the GOP forced the Dems to spend all that money. BTW, during the Bush presidency and his debt run-up, the Dems gleefully signed on to every cent of expenditure. To John this is just an inconvenient fact that doesn't fit his false and childish narrative.
It was Bush and the GOP who apparently doubled the federal debt in less than four years, so obviously Obama needs more time to fix the mess, he, I mean the Republicans, I mean the racists, caused.
Anyway, ET facts don't matter. I met a fellow who I thought was somewhat lucid until he mentioned Romney as this fat cat businessman who is the problem. When I told him Obama ran up debt, he protested "that's not his fault." When I pointed out how the Dems controlled Congress and POTUS, he basically shut the discussion down, saying "that's OK don't bother me with facts."
He might as well have been John, who would rather use factoids, taken totally out of context, in the hope some dummy, like the guy I mentioned, won't bother to think about or check the argument.
Next comes the racist argument, after all it can't be anything else. To that I juxtapose Martin Luther King's words - voters should re-elect Obama because of the colour of his skin rather than the content of his character. I think Mr King would have been unimpressed.
John is no different than any other partisan Obamabot.
Glazed eyes, brain turned off, and the "It must be true because Obama/Maddog/Ed/O'Donnell/Mr Tingles said so."
Despite the fact Romney has paid millions in taxes, and donated at least as much, if not more, somehow, "Its not enough".
Complete lack of thought process there, 'john' is certainly either living in a fictional world, along with his leftard brethren (ideology is more important than facts), or, its too painful to realize that maybe his leftard heroes are rich, but fictional characters, that have more in common with Romney than he thinks, at least as far as being RICH.
I wonder how much Letterman, Maher, JayZ, Paul Hewson ("Bono"}, Sting etc, have given away of their personal wealth to charity?
Somehow it would not be a surprise that they are misers, and more greedy than those on the other side of the political spectrum.
"Look at John's claim that Obama inherited the worst financial mess since the Great Depression. This is based on what information? Well, nothing, just a feeling."
Well, more than just a feeling. The IMF called it this, as have countless economists:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2008/apr/10/useconomy.subprimecrisis
But hey, no big deal. Those WSJ guys are just a buncha lefties!
Look guys, I'm not going to convince you that you're wrong. I'm actually just a left-leaning centrist, but to you guys, I'm a leftwing nut. The reason for this is because you are so far to the right, that everybody seems like hippies. This basically makes you hopeless. Hopeless in recognizing how badly 8 years of Republican rule screwed the US, and how long it's going to take to fix it. Yeah, they're spending a lot of money now, but this is what has kept that country from completely melting down. You think there is a communist threat now? Wait till the Republicans get their way that will totally destroy the middleclass and see how many start to find radical socialism more palatable. The very minor socialism that we have in the West, coupled with a primarily capitalist system is what made us strong. The capitalist extremists, those who believe that the market is the god above all, would slam us into the rocks.
I gotta stop coming here. Better I should try to reason with my fridge.

And once again, a supposed liberal like John tries to play the race card. Poor Democrats, clinging to their welfare checks and atheism.
Dear dear Oh Canada, whatever financial institution are you dealing with? Payday Loans? Why aren't you hooked up with Sharia banking? You get a loan of $100,000 they give you $65,000 and you pay them back $100,000. Still, you should be ashamed of yourselves at taking advantage of Allahs poor math skills. If you folks don't respect Allah, how can you expect us infidel yokels to?
John said: "Better I should try to reason with my fridge."
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
