Take Me, Obama

The eight stage is bringing in the lawyers.

The State Department blasted CNN Saturday night for the network's handling of a personal journal belonging to late U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens, which was removed from the site of the deadly Sept. 11 consulate attack.

[...]

"Perhaps the real question here is why is the State Department now attacking the messenger," read the CNN statement.

The US State Department is desperate to hide thier bungling of this affair. As well protect Obama-Rice lies about a film nobody has taken the time to watch because of its D class rating. Its just a cover up for the negligence of a President who doesn't give a hoot , plus a department so inane its become an arm of Islamic infiltration.
You have to wonder what other layers of lies is behind this.

I had a chuckle reading one of the more conspiratorial websites where it is alleged that the Ambassador's killing was actually an Obama hit. According to the site the instant blame on the movie was simply additional proof. I really don't accept that conspiracy theory but I do believe that Hillary should do the noble thing and resign. Of course I wish that Obama would do the same thing but as the old nursery rhyme says, "If turnips were watches I would wear one at my side".

Breitbart's Ben Shapiro reports / from their closing paragraph:

"For the Obama State Department to blast CNN’s reporting by handing their response to their favorite outlet, Huffington Post, simply demonstrates their views on the role of the press: it’s there to report what Obama wants it to report, not what is actually news.

There’s a reason the State Department is shooting the messenger here: they don’t like what’s in the diary. It puts their boss, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and her boss, Barack Obama, directly in the limelight for their failure to provide adequate security in Benghazi, and more broadly, for turning over vast swaths of the Middle East to Islamists during the misnamed Arab Spring.

So instead, State will focus on CNN’s supposed malfeasance. Better than facing up to the fact that the State Department didn’t just fail Ambassador Stevens, it failed the United States."

An authoritarian regime's first reflex is to stifle the media when they are caught in malfeasant situations. That fact makes the current state dept's reaction seem linear with other banana republics.

Your American socialist regime - lowering government ethics and agendas to 3rd world standards.

The White House is showing its true colours to the media now. Obama and crew will brook no dissent among its cheerleaders, they either stay on message or they will be castigated in public. Hopefully this will inspire the rest of the MSM to see just how much they are being used.

Good grief I didn't notice Kate's link was going to take me to the HuffnPuff!   Now I'm going to have to drop this netbook in a bucket of bleach.
.

"Perhaps the real question here is why is the State Department now attacking the messenger,"

That's not a question at all. The reason they do that is because its a lot easier to get a CNN producer to do a perp-walk on nation-wide TV than it is to protect some federal employees way off in @sscr@ckistan from the feral mobs.

The real question: how stupid are the managers at CNN to think Barry's boys wouldn't make 'em do a perp-walk?

Found on the floor 4 days after the attack? That they didn't secure the crime scene within 4 days screams incompetence. I'm sure the only reason they are upset is more lies. Why are they pi$$ing off CNN?

I'm going to predict that if the administration keeps publically scolding the media, they may finally start doing their job out of spite.
It is reminiscent of the reaction during the 2006 election when Scott Reid made his infamous "beer and popcorn" remarks.
The media has been doing a bang up job thus far, but when the Obama's team starts acting like an abusive spouse not because the media can't keep moving the goal posts fast enough, but because they won't throw their fellow colleagues under the bus, then there is a paradigm shift in how the stories get reported.
Obama's poor response to this crisis is starting to define him as a guy who isn't in control of the situation, that is off message because he never had one to begin with.

this doesnt point to failed reaction on this incident, it exposses their whole failed mideast policy. Not good at election time!!!!

I hope you're right Joseph (3:40 p.m.) I keep hoping but there sure as heck has been very little change in the cheering gallery.

Four days after the attack. The news media was just able to wander around the ruins of the consulate FOUR DAYS after the attack.

Obviously Obama and his incompetent minions (no they are not government leaders in this misadministration, they are ineffective and incompetent hacks) are not interested in the least in investigating what happened in Benghazi. Where were the Marines and FBI that Hilary and her state department trumpeted were going to find those responsible? Where was the Libyan government & police? Why weren't the personal effects found and secured even after FOUR days?

I am sure President Barack Incompetent Obama will use the excuse that there is insufficient criminal evidence as an excuse to not do anything for this act of war. Just Like BJ Clinton did nothing to punish the people that blew up the african embassies in 1998. After all, Bill's wife is now the US secretary of state and in charge of this miserable clusterfarb of failure.

And CNN, real classy, you ambulance chasing, gore mongering, smugly self satisfied twits. What's next? Digging up the coffin? Hacking/Breaking into the medical records of some schlub that piqued your interest? Maybe a Palin or Ryan? Or is Honey Boo-boo the most important story?

And ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, NYT, etc. Where is your reporting on this disaster that is STILL all fouled up? Or hasn't your boyfriend Obama given you permission yet?

rd notes the real issue here. Four days after the attack and the US government had still made no effort to secure the compound. It's a US consulate. Bound to be all kinds of sensitive stuff lying around. And, given that this was an Al Qaeda hit, it's in the terrorists' hands.

This is the real reason the State Dept. is so upset. It shows they have no real control over document security at their various outposts around the world.

The incompetence of this administration is simply bewildering.

BTW...how is that NASA Muzzie outreach program going? I here Hamas and the Palis have achieved short range rocket technology from around 1942.So what does Ted"I'm a socilaist idjit"Turner and Hanoi Jane have to say about their hero and zero dissing them? Or are they learning the true colors of socialist commies, that useful idiots are the first to go?

It's sickening the level of immorality the liberal media sink to, I feel for his family first the POTUS lies about the attack and then they find out CNN steals evidence from the crime scene.

1 or 2 days is evidence. 4 days is salvage. How many other secret documents were rolling around the floor and grounds? Idiots.

Yep, incompetence to the point of criminal negligence. The state department was warned days in advance but no action was taken to secure the consulate or better yet evacuate personnel. It looks like ambassador Stevens went to Benghazi to stand with his people who were abandoned by the State Department and Obama administration. There is a story to be told here and Obama is desperate to suppress it. Hence the attack on Romney for speaking truth to power and now the feigned outrage at CNN for doing what it's supposed to, report the news. The difference between this and the Watergate coverup is nobody died at Watergate. If this was a republican president the press would be calling for congressional hearings and impeachment.

Stevens indicated that he feared he was a target, something Clinton denied knowing anything about. Have Obama, Clinton, or Holder ever heard the expression, "the buck stops here."

"Have Obama, Clinton, or Holder ever heard the expression, "the buck stops here.""
No their common methodology is to blame Bush.
Their first move was to blame a movie no one has seen. Since the American public is skeptical about that they have taken to blaming the media. I do believe the end is nigh for Obama and crew and one can sense the panic in the Democratic war room. 44 more days.

I'm taking my advice from the Democrats. "Don't believe the national polls." OK, I won't.

It's not all that long before I can express my pleasure at the job Jimmy Carter's incompetent acolyte is doing.
