Take Me, Obama

Less a "crush" than a renewal of their vows.

If the media lies, the media dies.
You take a side, you’re along for the ride.
A traitor in front of a camera is still just a traitor.

I'm repeating the post I put into the Tips section. What is interesting, I think, about Obama, are several things.

First, there's the FACT that he is essentially a Manufactured Person. A total creation by himself. In words. These include his autobiographies which are pure fiction. But they also include anything and everything he says about himself, about the economy, about the MENA, about ..well, about anything.

Obama doesn't live in the real world; he exists, totally, in Words. His words have no reference to external reality; they function only to persuade you to be 'his'. That's all.

And second, what seems to happen is that his narrative explodes in an environment, draws everyone to his side (that's the intention!) but after a while, since it is unconnected to reality, it dissolves, fades. Because Obama carries out no actions pertinent to those words; his contribution is..just words.

The media, also based heavily and only in words, is a key enabler of Obama. They support, they supplant, they embelish his words, and so far, most of them have been content to function, like Obama, only in words. But even this is beginning to break down.

The Washington Examiner has, today, an important series on Obama, exposing him as a 'manufactured fraud', exposing everything that is false.

These include his claims of an impoverished childhood, which are untrue; his claims that he was a 'constitutional law professor' which are untrue; and so on. Outlines his underhand, crooked Chicago style political activities, his absent senatorial career and so on.

There seems to be a pattern in his life, which is that he, as a Manufactured Hero, flashes on to the scene, is welcomed and hailed for his supposed contributions and then in a few years, this scenario dissolves. It dissolves because Obama is not a real but a virtual entity. He's all image and words. There's nothing there in reality.

So, as a teacher he did nothing but the minimal, mentored no students, wrote no articles, contributed nothing to the faculty. Same with his time as editor of the Harvard Law Review. Same with his time as community organizer. Same with his time as a member of Senate. And guess what..

The current president’s words have an expiry date immediately after they leave his mouth.

That way he is not responsible for the consequences and his followers could not be happier.

That is all that counts. Everything else is an inconvenient, fast forgetable periphery.

Related to the placing of campaign talking points by Hollywood, I've been watching Bones on Netflix recently. When you watch a bunch of episodes in a row with no commercials, the talking points pop out at you. They are scenes obviously shoehorned into the story that have no relevance to the narrative, they're badly written and in fact corny as hell.

I stopped watching TV several years ago because it was annoying the cr@p out of me and I didn't know why, exactly. With the episodes stacked up and no commercials, it becomes as obvious as a pig at a garden party.

These Hollywood people have a tremendous amount of money at stake in keeping the DemocRats in power. Frankly I think their whole business model depends on it.

Shut off your TV.

Conservative minded citizens abandoned the fight for public education decades ago when the left took it over. I think the unspoken conclusion was that the 'school of hard knocks' would re-educate these products of the education system. Just wait until you have to balance a cheque book and you will realize where your money is going.

Scarce resources (money) always encourages conservation and thusly conservative thought. Obama is simply accelerating a leftist agenda that exists throughout North America and the world for that matter. The wealth of that nation is methodically being stripped away to pay for entitlements that cannot be afforded. I am coming to the conclusion that no matter of discourse will change this direction. Change will come when the system collapses and it won't be pretty.

your post is very accurate, but it applies to many politicians, most of whom are lefties. Also, the general left leaning electorate tend to live in emotionally constructed verbal worlds, they talk the talk and trip and fall when they attempt to walk their talk!!!!

NME666, I agree that the left operates within a utopian fictional realm of words. But usually, when somone on the left moves out of the Seminar or Prayer Room and into political authority, unless they live in a dictatorship, they must face reality.

The reality of the economy, of the debt, of unemployment, of trade agreements, of private business, of crime and so on. This tempers their fictional realm. Some cannot ever be in power, and I'd include Layton and Marois and Mulcair because reality always trumps fiction.

Obama has isolated himself from reality; he leaves the reality work of policies and programs to others. He confines himself, totally and absolutely to Words.

Notice how on Letterman's show, he couldn't and wouldn't move into the reality of the debt and refused to acknowledge its reality. Letterman asked, is it 10 trillion? Obama answered, if you can believe it, 'I don't remember the amount precisely'. Heh, he couldn't even say that it's over 16 trillion; he can't move into reality.

So, many people just interact with the fictional Obama, the mega-smile, the wave, the jokes, and they love him. Other people, slowly, are starting to realize that there's nothing there but Words. And realizing that his agenda, which exists within the network of associates he has developed over the years, is radical socialism.

The schoolgirl crush would be embarrassing for any adult in full possession of his or her faculties.

I'm not accusing liberals of being in full possession of their faculties.

Letterman asked, is it 10 trillion? Obama answered, if you can believe it, 'I don't remember the amount precisely'. Heh, he couldn't even say that it's over 16 trillion; he can't move into reality.

Even the question is bogus. You know that he knew what he was asking was far from the correct number. Wonder why that was?
