Tonight the strapping Annette O'Toole climbs through the ropes looking for a man.

Let's have a good clean bout, and protect yourselves at all times.

Wow she is hot hot hot!!!

And not a bad voice either!!!

"strapping" isn't a term I'd use for a fellow sexagenarian of the female persuasion, especially a red head AND a Texan. The lady does have a great set of... lungs(as in singing, eh).

Texas Canuck, "strapping" just means "big and strong." To me it's a compliment, but then, whenever I've been with petite-ish women I've always felt kinda ripped off, just a bit.

Shocka:

"The elite fundraising committee through which President Obama solicits his largest campaign donations relied overwhelmingly on professors from equally-elite universities last month.

Later in Luke Rosiak's Washington Times article,

Professors came out in force to oppose George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004…

I remember a female friend telling me that the reason Smallville was so popular was that the target demographic could lust after both John Schneider and Tom Welling.

She seemed quite put out when I pointed out that the same was true of Annette O'Toole and Allison Mack.

(Kristin Kreuk? Oh, please.)

Highly recommended: Daniel Greenfield's Truth is the Ultimate Gaffe.

Gaffe, a word that temporarily came to be associated with political misstatements, has returned to its origins as a social faux pas, such as saying something at a dinner party that everyone knows to be true, but that…mustn't be said out loud.

The media is still doing its best to pretend that a gaffe is a mistake, when they are actually using it to mean the telling of inconvenient truths. Obama's reign of error is a constellation of inconvenient truths, economic, security and legal, that cannot be discussed in public. The telling of these inconvenient truths has been met with cries of racism, no matter how little they have to do with race. Now they are being met with cries of "Gaffe, Gaffe", when Romney brings them up.

That Michael McKean is a lucky, lucky man. Funny, too.

Teacher who was fired for giving students zeros finds new home at ‘old-fashioned’ Edmonton private school

“Formative assessment suggests the most important learning takes place in the absence of grades. Instruction, coaching and feedback improve student learning more than giving students grades,” said Sherry Bennett, the executive director of the Alberta Assessment Consortium, a non-profit group dedicated to improving assessment and learning."

"The consortium — along with government seed money through the Alberta Initiative for School Improvement, in this year’s budget, a $40-million allocation in education funding meant to encourage educators experiment with new innovations — has spurred school boards here to adopt the new approach.

FORTY MILLION DOLLARS to come up with ideas like the no-zero policy. And what exactly is a "new innovation"?

Ah, the Huffington Post. Where a 12 year old boy can write a letter to Romney saying his plan isn't what the USA needs...

And that's all it takes to make news.

Re: Annette O`Toole:

Why would anyone say she is strapping?? She is listed at 5'4" tall. Hardly "strapping."

Good song.

A Texas man upsets his sensitive neighbours by displaying his 'empty chair Obama' hanging from a length of rope. The neighbours say it is 'racist'.
Others find it amusing.

Michelle Malkin takes david brooks out to the woodshed and it isn't pretty:

She reminds us of this quote from the faux-con:

Brooks also recounted his first encounter with his Democratic crush. “I remember distinctly an image of — we were sitting on his couches, and I was looking at his pant leg and his perfectly creased pant,” Brooks said, “and I’m thinking, a) he’s going to be president and b) he’ll be a very good president.”

"Poor Anhui County Wants to Be 'Capital of Love'

Anhui Province's Huaning County plans to invest 2.7 billion yuan in a campaign to cast the area as China's "Capital of Love." Huaining was the setting for Southeast the Peacock Flies, an ancient love story. Both the cost and the potential income of the project have sparked controversy. In 2011, the county's annual budget was only 1.58 billion yuan, leading critics to question whether this project was worth the cost. Runan County, Hebei Province, began building an amusement park based on a popular Chinese love story. That project failed and the park remains unfinished.

I missed the 9-11 presidential speech. Just watched it a moment ago from an email. Thought I'd share:

I can feel our country more united by the second. The quick flash in the beginning says:

Daniel Ream @10:56 - I liked Michael Rosenbaum. What's wrong with me!!??

Well, he was playing a billionaire.

Apparently Romney's 2011 tax returns show that most of his income comes from investments.

These are taxed at the personal level at 20% (ie, income tax level) lower because they've already been taxed at the corporate level at 35%.

Romney paid 1.9 million in income taxes and, and, donated almost 4 million to charity or 30% of his income.

How's that for 'fair share', Mr. Obama?

Obama, in the same year, donated 20% of his income to charity, but, remember, he has no living expenses. No housing, food, heat, cars, clothing. Zilch. So, there's no comparison, and even so, Romney gave more.

Biden? He and his wife donated about 5,500 to charity. Heh.

My point is that charity is 'giving to the community' of your choice, while taxes provide you with no choice.

I bet Romney doesn't even have a brother and a little nephew living in a hut in a third-world slum either.

Kate, you have to see this. I guess the Obama campaign people are really that stupid.

Romney: $4 million (29% of income)
Obama: $172,000 (22% of income)

http://dailycaller.com/2012/09/21/tax-records-romney-donated-29-percent-of-income-to-charity-in-2011/

Their charitable contributions over a number of years are far more interesting:

"The combination of Romney’s charitable donations and tax payments to federal and state authorities – which averaged 20 percent, and never fell below 13.66 percent — amounted to 38.5 percent of his income over 20 years."

"Obama gave 1 percent of his income, or $10,772, to charity between 2000 and 2004, according to tax data provided in January 2012. In 2005 and 2006, Obama increased his charitable giving to 5 percent of of his income, or $137,622 on $2.6 million in income. That figure grew to 5.7 percent in 2007."
