It's all good:

Yesterday, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reported that the deficit for fiscal year 2012 has surpassed the $1 trillion mark, and it anticipates the Treasury Department will report a $1.17 trillion deficit as of the end of August. The deficit can and will get worse, though, because a few weeks remain before the fiscal year ends on September 30th. Remember, too, that this marks the fourth year in a row with a $1 trillion plus deficit.

CBO’s report follows Treasury’s grim confirmation last week that the national debt reached the $16 trillion mark, engulfing the size of the entire U.S. economy.

U.S. personnel did not see his body again until it was returned to the Benghazi airport around dawn. The official said the administration cannot say what the cause of death was -- reports have ranged from smoke inhalation to an attack on his car -- until an autopsy.
As for the rest of the U.S. Consulate staff, they were all evacuated back to Tripoli over the course of a couple cargo flights from Benghazi on Wednesday. The flights included the three wounded personnel and the remains of the four Americans. The staff is now in the process of being flown to Germany, where those who are wounded will be treated and others will be on "standby" while the security situation is assessed.
One official said the embassy in Tripoli, while still operating, has been reduced to "emergency staffing levels." All diplomatic posts around the world have been ordered to review their security situation and make improvements where necessary.

Dalton McGuinty's Ontario where the OSPCA can bust down your door and force you to take your dog in for dental treatment. All of this overseen by a quasi-judicial tribunal, i.e. a kangaroo court, that can afford high priced lawyers.

http://www.ottawasun.com/2012/09/12/furey-animal-care-board-latest-kangaroo-court

The public now knows a lot about the kangaroo courts that are the human rights tribunals. But not much press has been given to the Ontario Animal Care Review Board. On Wednesday I witnessed this surreal board in action.

Jessica Johnson, a 64-year-old retiree, described to the board how earlier this summer an Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals agent broke into her home via a window - while Johnson was napping - then unlocked the door to let in OPP officers and other agents.

During another visit they took her door apart to get in because Johnson, busy calling her lawyer, didn't open it soon enough.

...

The OSPCA is actually a registered charity. Its officers are granted the power to lay charges and act out warrants. Let's put that together: A charity has the legal powers to behave like a police force in responding to complaints that can be made anonymously and a special court was created to handle their cases.

http://www.thestar.com/opinion/editorials/article/1255211--parents-right-to-pull-kids-out-of-class-should-go-only-so-far

"the education system must push back against this growing pressure from those who want to impose their agenda and censor what children are taught"

This is backwards: It's the left that wants to impose its agenda through indoctrination. Some parents don't want their kids to be subject to it, and they have the right not to have their kids subject to it.

I don't think these parents are right about everything, but they are standing up for the rights of every citizen.

MSNBC talking heads want someone prosecuted for this Benghazi thing. Namely Terry Jones.

http://hotair.com/archives/2012/09/12/msnbc-host-hey-lets-prosecute-jones-as-accessory-to-ambassadors-murder/

What I can't wrap my head around is why there were no Marines as the consulate in Libya. Reports I've read claim the two that were killed were brought in after the "protests" started. Call me old fashioned, but wouldn't it always be prudent to have increased security at American facilities/warships throughout the Muslim world on 9/11?

That sounds like the sort of 'let's not inflame the situation further by having soldiers with guns around' logic the left is so fond of. Surely the consulate's show of non-force was a directive from on high.

What's that you say?

You say Obama was warned in 2009 that the policy of having lowest cost embassy security is an accident waiting to happen?

You say Obama was warned that “The record is clear that hiring the wrong people for State Department security in a war zone can get innocent people hurt, undermine the security mission, and do terrible damage to America’s image.

You bet he was.

The hypocrisy of Obama and the Media is stunning Barack Obama had no problem back in 2008 attacking Bush and McCain. But now any criticism of him is unacceptable. Nonsense.

Oh and those reports from the White House that the crowd was "helping" Ambassador Stevens after the attack? Riehl World View is reporting the crowd raped Ambassador Stevens before he died.

EBL, the whole democrat leftist cabal criticized Bush constantly during his whole term about national security issues. It was claimed back then what they were doing was the highest form of patriotism. Now the same behavior is just plain racist.

Thanks for the Liberty Bell song EBD. I loved seeing Ron Paul ring that bell. Johnny Hortan always reminds me of the "Doc.' too. When my brothers and I were little, our Dad and Mom bought us a collection of Johnny Hortan LPs, we knew the words to every song. This was a huge favorite of ours. We thought we were Johnny Freedoms!!:

So long as men like Dr. Paul live, Freedom and Liberty are not dead. Judging by the huge, young, enthusiastic band that support the good Doctor; Johnny Freedom is still the 'spirit of America, the country's pride and joy'.

"China is ramping up its global exports of cheap steel, sometimes at a loss, as bulging stocks of the alloy give way to a worsening domestic demand picture for the commodity consuming giant.

Slowing construction and industrial activity has hit Chinese steel demand and prices hard in the past few weeks, prompting market participants to export more aggressively than ever, even to markets such as the Middle East and North Africa where it doesn’t usually sell."

"False positives: fraud and misconduct are threatening scientific research"

"High-profile cases and modern technology are putting scientific deceit under the microscope"

"The Dutch psychologist Diederik Stapel was found to have published fabricated data in 30 peer-reviewed papers."

"Dirk Smeesters had spent several years of his career as a social psychologist at Erasmus University in Rotterdam studying how consumers behaved in different situations. Did colour have an effect on what they bought? How did death-related stories in the media affect how people picked products? And was it better to use supermodels in cosmetics adverts than average-looking women?

The questions are certainly intriguing, but unfortunately for anyone wanting truthful answers, some of Smeesters' work turned out to be fraudulent. The psychologist, who admitted "massaging" the data in some of his papers, resigned from his position in June after being investigated by his university, which had been tipped off by Uri Simonsohn from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Simonsohn carried out an independent analysis of the data and was suspicious of how perfect many of Smeesters' results seemed when, statistically speaking, there should have been more variation in his measurements.

The case, which led to two scientific papers being retracted, came on the heels of an even bigger fraud, uncovered last year, perpetrated by the Dutch psychologist Diederik Stapel. He was found to have fabricated data for years and published it in at least 30 peer-reviewed papers, including a report in the journal Science about how untidy environments may encourage discrimination.

The cases have sent shockwaves through a discipline that was already facing serious questions about plagiarism."

Recall ‘Voodoo Science’, as IPCC chair Rajenda Pauchauri once said in response to the Himalayan glaciers will melt by 2035 fiasco. I think I’ll let Dr. Roger Pielke Jr.’s example of this stand on its out without further comment:

Alleged Error #1

Text from Roger Pielke, Jr.

Error #1: IPCC p. 110: “These previous national U.S. assessments, as well as those for normalised Cuban hurricane losses (Pielke et al., 2003), did not show any significant upward trend in losses over time, but this was before the remarkable hurricane losses of 2004 and 2005.”
