About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

at 666...Hmmmmmm
Shoot if they could have held off for just a few years we were getting ready but now have nothing in the way of home defense or any long term large stock piles of food or water or water prep tablets very little medical stuff , we have lots of silver but it is hidden , and we really have no bug out location!!!
Oh well I will. Just keep reading and praying!!
Paul in Calgary >
Best not to be a part of the problem, be a part of the solution.
There will already be too many Liberals to deal with if & when shiit hits the fan.
What do you mean knight?
It's Obama messing with the sea level. Nowhere for the ships to go anymore.
Paul in Calgary >
What did I mean? Get a "bug out location".
Aww, 666 isn't all its cracked up to be.
I've had a bank account number since the late 80s that ends in 666 and its been very good for me.
But then I'm not religious either. heh
Well, the S&P cycle low in 2009 was 666. If too many indices bottom at 666, we're in trouble.
But I don't think Baltic Dry will stop there. Too many ships with too little cargo. Baltic Dry will keep sinking, for now.
I remember when the 666 craze was Ronald Wilson Reagan.
Now it's Barrack Hussien Obama - Of course the letters don't add up, but we havn't exactly seen his Harvard math tests either have we?
The Baltic Dry is not a very accurate index of the economy, it's only an approximation. For the past several years there's been a huge surplus, particularly of oil tankers driven by the mid-2000s price spike.
The Baltic Dry only measures the surplus or shortage of shipping. Shipping companies are no more reliable predictors of future economic activity than any other index.
Psssst... want to buy a freighter cheap? It would look pretty good docked on the North Sask River.
Look for Somali pirates to fall on hard times and ask for foreign aid from the UN.
Mark J. Perry's head just exploded.
@CGH: The BDI is supposedly a good measure of economic activity because the supply of freight ships is considered perfectly inelastic. In other words, the supply curve is vertical and hence any movement in prices represent changes in demand. As you note, the basic assumptions of the BDI have proven false, and hence it is a poor measure of economic activity. But the low level of the BDI clearly represents weak economic activity regardless of whether it results from low demand or mothballed supply.
@Knight99: numerologists have never counted the number of letters in one's name. Each letter (whether English, Hebrew, etc) is associated with a number value. In English, the common association is:
1: A, J, S
2: B, K, T
3: C, L, U
4: D, M, V
5: E, N, W
6: F, O, X
7: G, P, Y
8: H, Q, Z
9: I, R
Barack would be: 2+1+9+1+3+2 = 18 = 9
Hussein would be: 8+3+1+1+5+9+5 = 32 = 5
Obama would be: 6+2+1+4+1= 14 = 5
His number is 955 or 19 a composite 1.
Numerologists generally look at your given name on your birth certificate. :)
Hebrew Gematria would produce a completely different number. Since two of his names are Arabic, they would translate nicely into Hebrew since they share many names.

Thanks :)
Now I'm convinced Obamba's the devil.
