What message does the ad actually send the Mohammed Tariq Khans? On the one hand, a message of weakness: Assemble a big enough mob, kill enough people, burn enough flags and churches, and you too can grab the attention of the most powerful man and woman in the world. On the other hand, a taunt. If Obama and Mrs. Clinton really mean it, the Khans must think, why haven't they presented the video makers for public mincing? The State Department's ad contains no answer to that crucial question.

There is a good deal of truth to what you say Mark. Recently the OamaMedia savaged Romney for enunciating the fact that 47% of the population are on welfare or subsudized or reliant on the government for their income, - interstingly enough, Obama's core support is 47%

Obama, Romney paid 20% tax rate on his income which comes primarily from investments. That's because investment income has already been taxed at its corporate home base at 35%. What's left after that huge take by the government, is then taxed at 20%. That's a 55% rate.
Income from salaries, which isn't earned by investment activities, is taxed at anywhere from 10 to 35 (10, 15, 25, 28, 33, 35).
Obama wants to raise the 33 to 36 and the 35 to 39.6, or 40%. He 'thinks' this will solve the 16 trillion debt. Oh, wait, he can't remember how much the debt is. Ah well.
Oh, and Obama wants to add on a 3.8 (eg 4%) tax increase to capital gains for Medicare. Ryan doesn't plan to increase taxes, but to offer three different types of Medicare. Again, no tax increase.
What do taxes on capital gains do? They reduce the amount of money available for private investment into industries. No additions to industries, no purchasing new equipment, no adding more jobs. Instead, Investment money is taken by the govt to be redistributed for Consumption actions. And consumption spending doesn't give investors any money, for any profit is simply taxed away. A vicious circle.
And no new factories are built, no new jobs, no new equipment, no new small businesses. Because the govt takes all that Investment money away from the private sector. And puts it into entitlements.
I recently had occasion to talk to Americans from Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Alaska at a totally non-political gathering. They are genuinely scared of an Obama re-election and I can't say that I blame them. One Californian raised the wonders of Canadian health care as a counter-argument in favour of Obamacare. He was flabbergasted that my wife had to wait three years for a hip replacement and maybe he has started to question his political loyalties. Both domestically and internationally, Obama is a failure.
