How about just not handing out food stamps? What mystifies me is how the poorest people around seem to be the fattest. It really is true that alot of people on welfare, food assistance are fat and out of shape. I would say from looking at them they could go a month without anything but water and survive and lose weight. A person asked me for money one day on the street and I told him to walk up to the Christian Brothers centre and they would feed him, Salvation Army or any church. Heck if you start on a no food diet in jail and IV feed you.....you couldn't starve in this country if you wanted. You could pick up 24 cans at 10cents each = $2.40 now that will buy you a small milk, and loaf of whole wheat bread and cheese.....when I was a kid growing up I lived on less than that......
