Pretty direct connection. I'm from Winnipeg and I can say my job is directly connected to the oilsands as well, although not all the time.

The Tories should tie this in with a series of ads against Comrade Mulcair. Something akin to:

"Many low-income Quebecers appreciate being able to take a bus to get from place to place. But Thomas Mulcair doesn't believe in the oil sands and therefore doesn't like bus manufacturers who depend on their business."

Then show a family walking along the side of the road on a deserted highway and have the announcer come back and say, "Is this really the future you want for your fellow citizens?"

Oil and gas monies have bought more cows over the past 20 years that was turned into many a meal for Quebecers and all Canadians.
