Two Baby Boomer celebrities have taken to Twitter to hope pro-life, pro-family individuals and U.S. Congressman Todd Akin suffer a drowning or a same-sex rape, respectively.

On Sunday, Ellen Barkin expressed her hope that Tropical Storm Isaac would smash up the Republican National Convention in Tampa and drown all its delegates.

She retweeted the message of one of her followers that read: “C’mon #Isaac! Wash every pro-life, anti-education, anti-woman, xenophobic, gay-bashing, racist SOB right into the ocean! #RNC ” Barkin did not express any disagreement in her retweet.

The storm is expected to grow into a Category 1 hurricane before slamming into the Gulf Coast on Wednesday, the seventh anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

Yep, with bitter souls like that, you wouldn't expect a life preserver from the Titanic.

Note also someone on the link made the false statement that Bush refused to send FEMA during Katrina. No, the due process is that the Governor of a State has to request federal assistance. Bush offered it and the woman who was governor, kept refusing Bush's federal assistance.

Also, the mayor of the city of New Orleans had no plan or idea how to evacuate and help citizens. The blame for the Katrina disaster was strictly local governance.

Remember the Ft. Hood massacre, and Obama was, as usual campaigning, and giving a speech to some firefighters, I think. [I may be wrong on these data references]. He barely mentioned the massacre before going into his campaign speech.

And Obama certainly isn't down there; he's campaigning elsewhere.

Ellen Barkin's vicious comments, however, are quite relevant of the mindset of the left towards anyone whom they consider unsubmissive to Their Will.

Kathleen Blanco was the Governor and Ray Nagins was the mayor and ET was completely correct. This revisionist history of what happened during Katrina has to stop. Federal assistance was offered numerable times only to be denied by the Dem governor Blanco. Katrina wasn't supposed to be that bad as it actually missed the city but the local planning was disgraceful and I'd say criminal. Who has blood on their hands, Mr Nagin and Blanco. I'd say you clean up real good considering you can somehow blame the president when it is the normal Liberal smear campaign. As soon as Bush had authority he took action and decisive at that.

I'm constantly amazed at the effectiveness of Dem partisan propaganda effectiveness. So many black Americans think of the Dems as the liberator party when history and stark fact dictate otherwise.

The Dem powerbase historically has always been the south with its apartheid social policies. Harry Truman gained office with open Klan support. Dems were supported by the Klan, and had routinely elected Klan reps. The Dems had a Klan grand wizard (David Duke) run in their presidential finals. Dems even had a long sitting Klan rep (Robert Byrd) in congress as late as 2007.

The welfare system has been created and used by Dems to create a vast urban plantation which imprisons blacks in a perpetual cycle of family break down and government/party reliance. Dems created the perpetual American underclass.
Dems were responsible for the US entering the 2 great wars and Vietnam. they ran a draft system which heavily recruited from the black community for front line service and were the last party to reluctantly agree to integrate the military ( they ran an apartheid military until the Republican Eisenhower administration fully integrated it. Oh, and of course it was a Republican (Lincoln) that abolished slave ownership.

How the Dems convinced Black Americans they are the racial freedom party is a testament to the propaganda efforts of the partisan liberal media.
