Judging by the emotional drama and sheer dishonesty, I can’t help wondering if these ladies are unwell.

The first speaker, Sarah Knopp, wants to peddle the “enlightenment” of communism to the children in her care. When they believe as she does – and only as she does – then they’ll be “critical thinkers.” Then they’ll be “emancipated.” Just like her. The second speaker, Megan Behrent, merely intends to subvert the proprieties of the classroom in order to propagate her own communist politics at someone else’s expense. The preferences of parents, students and those who her pay her salary are to be circumvented in the name of “social justice.” And again, the students under her influence will be “thinking for themselves” when they think and act “radically,” i.e., just like her.

Submission to her worldview will of course be a good thing. Because she cares so very, very much.

These two women would like to help make it 200 million.

It took a while and a rework of the budget but I now have no worries about what the teachers' union or individual teachers do in the classroom. Thank God for Catholic schools in BC.

Well like it or not I'm certain many parents would love their child to join the collective rather than think and work their way to the top of the food chain.

Call me jaded if you will, but progressives have had their way a little too long, and we have been way too polite.

One could say they have already "won" in many ways,at least in the short term .

Time will tell.

In aid of this notion, and in support of a brighter future, I would like to note that being AGAINST bigger government is going to be the new cool in the next generation. Kids coming up now are going to want to rebel against The Man just as much or maybe even more than we did.

Two points (pun not intended):

first, listening to the first young lady's voice crack up and while reading the t-shirt I couldn't help but wonder if she wasn't getting off on this power trip, and,
secondly, the image of the second speaker in front of an Apple capitalist product while espousing communist ideals is too ironic for words.

Critical thinking is wonderful but it works better once the thinker has their ABCs down pat first.

The sheer arrogance pf these Women thinking only they, with fellow Communists have the Truth with nothing but heaps of dead human bones behind theories of mass death, is breathtaking. That they want to subvert or force their agendas comes as no surprise from those who don't blink at mega millions killed for an ideology of totalitarianism, disguised as progressive.
What is amazing is they think they are the better folk. That tolerance with love leeks out of them. While they plot murder plus forced propaganda, for a cause proven to be toxic to humanity again, & again, & again.....

This appears to be true today, but they will change their tune after they have experienced this for seven decades, as some of our families have.

Me thinks it should be mandatory for all public teachers to spend a three year walk about in North Korea, an eye opening for the young ones, a reaffirmation for the older ones.

My shock is not with these two Marxist zombies, they are the victims of a political lobotomy reacting with personal demons, they are beyond reaching - but setting intellectually/ethically devolved misanthropic ideologies loose with your children is like feeding poison to an apple tree - the damage is apparent when the fruit is ripe.

What bothers me is that what these two zombies are proposing (and propbably practicing) amounts to child abuse - at the very least it is a criminal breach of trust in using their public school positions in undermining parental authority.

Why are they still employed as public school teachers? Immediate dismissal and investigation for possible criminal and civil charges at the very least is warranted by the confession I heard on that video.

There's only a limited amount a grand-parent can do, but I send this stuff on to everyone else I know, including my own daughters who have kids in school.

I try to warn them about their schools and to be aware of the culture that lies behind today's teaching certificate.

I also warn that our B.C. Teacher's Federation is controlled (as are most unions) by the most activist (read: radical) members of that organization. They set the agenda, propagate the message and browbeat their membership into toeing the party line.

It is they who control the schools and the direction and content of education today.

We shall reap what we sow.

Government schools are institutions of state sponsered child abuse.

they are also a fine gauge to see how compliant the parental units are too.

One minor example: A class room with a child with some sort of "life threatening" allergy.

A. you can not send home made snacks or cookies etc... as the children in the class room have to have the snacks ok'd by a person of authority to make sure they comply with the guide lines. Therefore they want the packaging to verify the ingredients list.

At the same time they have a litterless lunch program, agenda driven by some teacher who is teaching eco responsibility. Each class's/student's littler is monitored DAILY to make sure no packaging or litter results by students food intake during the day.

WTHELL?????????

Those two directives cancel each other out. A classic catch 22. But parents twist themselves in knots trying to figure out how to do it...baaaaa on them.
