Those eviiiiil conservatives. Oh wait.

Robocalls result in Liberal political abortion…

Spin doctors hit by their own boomerang! Too funny….

The Liberals were behind the robocalls "scandal"???? Be still, my beating heart! Expect this story to get buried by the MSM right about ... now.

Can't break the "Conservatives are evil" narrative, now can we?

Boy...big...shock. The liberals did something similar back in the 90's too.

But, but, but, Valeriote says they made an "honest mistake"...how's that for knee slapper of the day?

I don't care if phone calls are made by auto dialers with pre-recoreded messages during elections, nor if they're made by 3rd parties on behalf of, or against any political parties.

The point that does bother me, is when the media biggies in Canada decide that this is an outrage, then walk away / look away from it when it's *their* party that's found to be at fault.

You should file this under "Things you wont see on CBC"

"We will replass da JST" -- wit da JST! We will protec your 'ealth care" -- wit a $25 billion cut!

Expect bad news on the fine front, which, I'm very certain, we'll be hearing about for the remainder of this parliament.

You should see the 'yah-buts floating around at the post, globe etc. Maybe the libs were found guilty, but yah-but Harper's an old meanie.. lol.. I expect that rancid old hag of a Peggy Atwood will be demanding a do over any time soon...

"Liberal MP Frank Valeriote has been slapped with a $4,900 fine"

Yeah I'll hold my breathe until they pay.

Do Liberals ever pay?
How much are these Liberal criminals into us for, so far?
Have they paid back the money they stole through Adscam or the fine?
How about the illegal election "loans" never paid back from Stephon Dion and his crew?

Let's send Explody Joe Morselli in "collections" over to have a talk with them.

"Giuseppe (Joe) Morselli, one of the key characters in Adscam, had been the target of a car bomb. André Gosselin, a Montreal public relations executive and sponsorship beneficiary, testified at the inquiry that Gagliano's chief of staff told him that his "adversaries" would "break your jaw" if he didn't cut the Liberals in for a larger piece of his take"

The New York Times quoted an FBI document wherein FBI informant Frank Lino claims he was introduced to Gagliano at a mob meeting in Montreal where he was told Gagliano was a politician and a made member of the mafia in Montreal connected to the Bonno and Gambinno crime families in New York. I didn't even realize what the term made member of the mafia meant until a recent documentary on the Chicago mob.

Gagliano, the one found guilty of dishonesty not just negligence, cried fowl and sued for defamation. He lost: http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/minister+Alfonso+Gagliano+loses+fight+clear+name/1765246/story.html

"In 1994, La Presse reported that Gagliano was the book keeper of Agostino Cuntrera, cousin of cocaine baron Alfonso Caruana. Caruana was involved in the gangland slaying of Paul Violi in Montreal and was found guilty of murder. According to Wikipedia, in the /80's Caruana was involved in heroine trafficking. The funds were deposited in Canadian banks and channelled through Swiss bank accounts. From his mansion n London, he supervised a heroine pipeline from Thailand through England to Canada. "

FredR - It's in the Globe and Mail. And surprisingly, many of the comments are supporting the Conservatives. Very surprising for the G&M.

Karma's a bitch.

Hey folks we all knew it would end this way, along with the big silence when the lefties where caught doing what they tattled, cackled & rattled, that conservative evil was a foot It's called diversion.
For what they where up too.
So much for a big conservative scandal they worked on since the election. Its sweet to see they where caught out.
Sadly how many Canadians will even know?
Because you know as well as me, who runs the media in Beaver-town.

Not to put a fine point on this but my experience with working with the guys who make the robocalls (for community organizing, not politics) suggest they are not always run by the sharpest knives in the drawer. Mistakes and errors seem to be frequent.

Not that that excuses the Liberals; any time we complained about errors in our messages calls they were corrected.

ET,I've been following the comments of both the Globe and the cbc for a while. Over the past three or four months ,the comments have been much more balanced at the Globe and a bit more balanced at the cbc. The cbc moderates their comments, which is likely the reason that they are still heavily skewed to the progressive viewpoint.

A notable exception at the cbc site is the deification of Layton that has been going on the past week. The cbc's top rated comments overwhelmingly show that Canadians are tired of the St.Jack show.

It will not get any better for the NDP.They are bleeding support now and the upcoming Quebec election will not stem the flow at all.

Wow, My blood pressure is sky high after watching Frank Valorte 's interview on Evan Solomon's joke of a political show . CBC has hit a new low. WOW ! There is NOTHING fair and balanced on CBC.

Heard CBC news with Carol McNeil, she had a CBC reporter on and she led off with the comment that Robocalls on their own were not illegal, however, the way the Liberal Guelph riding used the robocalls were. Question How come when the Robocalls originally hit the airways did CBC not use this same analogy but just ran with the headline Conservative Party of Canada stole election? Please review CBC report with Carol McNeil at noon.

That was a stolen riding! Conservatives should be demanding a 'do over'; I know that that is a ding dong dijon line but it applies here, IMO.

Don't forget the 700 undoubtedly progressive votes recorded from the later shut down campus polling station.

They did not ask for ID...

I thought Ezra handled it perfectly tonight, the casual rubbing of Woodhead and Dumbstein into the mud was classic. Not only that, I expect the fallout from this will create more fun than a speckled pup. I can't wait to drop this into family discussions with my lefty family..

Hey, Rich.

Cut CBC some slack.

They're making a movie about Taliban Jack doncha know? They just don't have the time to do "news" in any kind of depth.

The Liberal Party of Canada lost the remnants of classical liberal philosophy in the late 1960s. This is what Hayek warned about.

richfisher @ 3:52;
You really hit it on the head with the detailed litany of Libel theft and corruption. With the amount of money they stole over the decades they will not disappear for more decades into the future. You expect the MSM to give them a bye as they suck at their tit. Gagy was one of the ultimate examples of what they got away with. The Kennedy connections to the Mafia was a USA equivalent.

It is an enjoyable experience for me to watch as PMSH slowly squeezes the life out of the CBC but also as the rest of the MSM is made even more irrelevent by the internet and facebook. It isn't that young people are not susceptable to their BS it is simply that they are not listening.

My abiding concern, however, is that the conservative message in Canada is still not getting out to enough people. Particularly young people.
