Great issue to hammer Republicans. Democrats like tax cheat Timothy Geithner simply don't pay their taxes until they're caught, and even then they must be pressed to pay before they heroically write the cheque and are held up as paragons of virtue. So, Democrats don't need havens.

We have to remember that Obama has no connection to reality; he lives, totally, in a virtual realm made up of words. What he says is where he is, so to speak.

Obama's words are meant to manipulate you into his control. Period. They have no reference to any external reality.

Therefore, Obama says whatever he feels in needed to render you into his control. He'll say one thing to one audience and exactly one hour later say the opposite to a different audience.

It's the audience that is the reference point; not any factual reality. Never forget that.

His current election campaign is using this same approach. Obama is focusing on groups and bribing them.

Hispanics are being bribed, now, with his new policy of work permits for young illegals.

Unemployed are being bribed within his 'no work for welfare', expansion of food stamps, ease of moving from unemployment benefits to disability benefits. And his class warfare where he tells the poor they are poor only because the rich are not paying 'their fair share'.

Blacks are being bribed by reminders of racism and his past.

The basic issues: the economy, jobs, entitlement reform, health care and medicare, tax reform, foreign relations - none of this is debated. Instead, Obama's tactic is to focus on identity groups and bribe them. He is abandoning any who don't fit into these bribable groups. As I've said frequently, if Obama feels he can't control you, then you don't exist for him.

Will it work? Will he be able, with these bribes, entice them to actually vote?

I had never waded through that pile before. SHould have done so earlier.

Confirms that he laregly speaks the language of unicorns, empty high level statements that on hearing you have trouble disagreeing with.

BUT

this last paragraph caught my attention

"People of Berlin - and people of the world - the scale of our challenge is great. The road ahead will be long. But I come before you to say that we are heirs to a struggle for freedom. We are a people of improbable hope. Let us build on our common history, and seize our common destiny, and once again engage in that noble struggle to bring justice and peace to our world"

Besides the self aggrandizing that he is speaking to the world notice the shift. The speech is sprinkled with non-offensive references to liberty and freedom and this summary paragraph seems to be in the same direction. But then after drawing the link to common history and common destiny (which he never references other than the cold war and the airlift, never mentioning Truman or Marshall or the leaders of the nascent German Republic) he drops in out of nowehere that this is about

Peace and Justice....not freedom. Justice, a fine word that has been corrupted by the left and sticks out like sore thumb in this speech. I wish I had read it earlier. Obama hides his agenda in plain sight.

What's the deal with Obama? Switzerland has a tax treaty with the US and does co-operate with US tax authorities. What's he going to attack next? Running boards and rumble seats on cars?? The guy's an idiot.

I could care less what Euros think of us. They are the first to throw us under the bus and the first to call for help when the shooting starts.

I'm no fan of Barry either but when it comes down to choices I will take my American cousins first, without hesitation.

You seem to be under some kind of impression that the US means all that much these days. Remember Libya? Seems to me the US was kind of conspicuous by its absence. You don't seem to have noticed that our "American cousins", as you put it, are currently led by "Mendacity in Chief".
