Jason Blair may be gone, but his spirit lives on.

NYT and MSNBC. Nothing more need be said.

One thing I've learned about journos: they are unusually self-absorbed, and feel their career is the most important thing on this Earth.

Being Canadian means being able to be productive, succeed and prosper in spite of a harsh climate, unaccommodating geography and over bearing “officials”.

Being Canadian means not only being at ease with the cold climate, vast wilderness and parasitic political culture but thriving in it.

Being Canadian means having an inherent love of heritage, freedom, fairness and a will to do what is right as opposed to what is popular. Being Canadian is about the right and passion to speak the truth as we see it. Being Canadian is about spirit not dogma, truth not politics, loyalty not indoctrinated mass effect, goodness not popular values, civility not forced compliance, individuality not coerced conformity, common law not color of law, natural rights not concocted entitlement – it’s about preserving a true north strong and free, not a compromised political version. Being Canadian is about treasuring and honoring these words:

“I am a Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, or free to choose those who shall govern my country. This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind.” –JG Diefenbaker, 1960

I think it was Jayson Blair (couldn't even spell his own name).
