Just watched some of his races on Youtube. The horse is quite amazing. Seems that in some races he does what he had to do to win while in other races he shows off by literally blowing away the field.
Fun to watch. Googoo is something else.
Great "rags to riches" story in the Standardbred field Kate!
Having been involved in the Standardbred breeding and Racing field in the past in a very modest way, the story resonates and is worth the telling!
Thanks for that Kate!
Sadly here in Ontario, the McGuinty Liberals and the Ontario Lottery Gaming commission are about to kill off the second largest agriculturally related (gaming only, not taxpayer supported) industry in Ontario.
Just ask Doug Brown, former "Hall of Fame" Standardbred driver or Gord Brown, Doug's brother, presently involved at Rideau Carleton and Kawartha Downs their view of the devastation the OLG gaming withdrawn support will cause to the Ontario Standardberd Breeding industry, let alone the racing ancillary support businesses!!
Where are you Mark Bonokoski, Sun TV guy?
You know Harness racing, first hand!
This horse reminds me of the legendary Canadian pacer, "Cam Fella", who retired undefeated with 28 victories. He was the "Northern Dancer" of the pacing world.
Ontarians will never get to see him. McGuinty has just slaughtered the racing industry in Ontario.
Very interesting. It would appear that Mr. Hans controls BOTH sides of this horse's bloodline...
