"And the Role of Tommy Flanagan Will be Played by Lanny Davis"

A blog-post-headline classic.

That's very funny.

And comments are closed to avoid comments like, "He's DMing my beautiful wife, Morgan Fairchild!" that, yes, I would have made too were they open.

Who is Tommy Flanagan?

Who is Lanny Davis?

Who is Morgan Fairchild? (She's some sexpot from the '70s, right? Was she on Three's Company? Is she related to Morgan Freeman?)

I know who John Galt is. He's a character in an Ayn Rand novel.

Mock my ignorance. I don't care. But I'm not on twitter, and even I know what DM is.

@Black Mamba

And i am 33 years old!!!

Black Mamba: Yes, Morgan Fairchild was a 70's hottie. Tommy Flanagan was a character, played by Jon Lovitz on SNL, who was the world's worst liar, in both senses of 'worst': not only were his lies blatantly ridiculous, but he would compulsively vocalize his internal thought processes while he was constructing them; he'd stop himself midstream in the middle of an absolute whopper to completely change the details - to up the ante: "I was awarded the Purple Heart at Buckingham Pal....no, the Vatican....yeah, yeah, the Vatican, that's the ticket!"

Lanny Davis name-dropped his acquaintance with hottie-von-hottenheimer Morgan Fairchild far and wide across the Twitterverse ("Waiting to confirm you are receiving as Direct Message - just us") because, he...floats, he was unclear on how direct message works -- even though he was the author of an article that detailed Anthony Weiner's twitter mistakes and advised him and others on same. Hence Driscoll's headline "Attempting and failing to direct message Morgan Fairchild on Twitter, that's the ticket!"

Thank you!

"Lanny, is that you? Or you just glad to see me?"

When did John Kerry stop boinking the bimbo?
