While it may not be representitive of Islam Miss, this kind of attack happens all too often in muslem nations because muslem sharia law puts women on a status lower than that of pack animals. When you add the fact that you are a foreign nonbeliever it allows the thugs to act with impunity because under sharia law they have done nothing wrong.

Rationalizing brutality seems to be an emotional defense mechanism with too many of these victims. Of course her experience is representative of Egyptians and Islam in particular. All such acts should be condemned in the strongest terms possible by individuals and governments. Stop all immigration from Islamic states in order to re-enforce the message of condemnation. 1. Our guide gave us some handy phrases to use when traders or men on the street offered to buy our women – is it acceptable in Kansas for me to offer to buy my neighbor’s wife or daughter ?
2. Our guide told us Egypt was a very tolerant country where Christians, Jews and Muslims coesisted – is it necessary in Kansas for me to tell visitors that all religions get along?
3. Our guide told us his daughter would never marry a Christian or a Jew because if she did, he’d kill her – is it acceptable in Kansas to talk about killing a child who marries out of the family’s faith?
4. Traders in the markets loudly and lasciviously invited the young ladies on our tour to come in the back with them – is it acceptable in Kansas to publicly solicit a woman?
5. Young men wandering in the market followed the young ladies on our tour boasting about how much fun they could provide the women – is it acceptable in Kansas to follow women around and speak rudely to them?
6. The women on our tour were told to dress modestly even on the hottest of days and in public places - are female tourists in Kansas told to cover up more than their male travelling companions?
7. We were accompanied by tourist police (the guys in black) – are tourists in Kansas in need of constant protection from potential attackers?

The whole population of Egypt accepts and accommodates the Islamist behaviours and attitudes. Until the whole region goes through a cultural revolution where equality, individual rights, the rule of law and the right to the fruits of your labour replace Mohamed’s word, Egypt and the Arab peninsula will continue to have the culture of the 7th century.

The behaviour of those who assaulted this young lady may not be representative of some Egyptians’ behaviour, but it is certainly expected and accepted by all Egyptians.
