Who protects the environment better?
The article's conclusion:
The command economies of the 20th Century — particularly Maoist China and Soviet Russia — produced much greater pollution than the free markets. Under a free market, polluters who damage citizens or their property can be held to account in the market place, and through the court system. There is no such mechanism through the kind of command of economy that the centralists seem to wish to implement.

"Don’t worry about the ickle birdies"
"By Christopher Monckton of Brenchley in Rio de Janeiro
“BUT what about the ickle birdies?” wailed the ancient, off-blonde representative of the planet’s indigenous peoples in the shapeless, grimy, crumpled eco-sackcloth shift that is de rigueur this season among the female of the species here at the shapeless, grimy, crumpled Rio conference center.
“Don’t you care? Because of global warming the ickle wormies that the ickle birdies eat won’t hatch out at the right time for the ickle birdies to eat them and the ickle birdies will all die! Don’t you even care about all the millions of humans that are running away from all those droughts and floods and things? It’s all our fault!”
She got up untidily and flounced out (insofar as it is possible to flounce convincingly while wearing hemp flip-flops and a shapeless, grimy, gray eco-sackcloth shift)."

Do we see a pattern here to justify profiling, or don't you?
So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people.
They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning former Governors.
And leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 & 40 alone because of profiling.
Lets send this to as many people as we can so that the Gloria Aldreds and other dunder-headed attorneys along with Federal Justices that want to thwart common sense feel doubly ashamed of themselves if they have any such sense.
As the writer of the award winning story "Forest Gump" so aptly put it,
A good weld is actually stronger than the parent materials, by as much as 10%. Remember the Saturn commercial a few years ago where the two men were testing a brand new chassis by ripping it apart with air chisels? The steel around the welds was torn apart but the spot welds did not separate.
Thanks johnbrooks, I stole your post for my own blog. :)

"Vestas to stop production at Hohhot plant, cut jobs
* Sees low demand for small turbines
* Analysts say winning back investor confidence will take time
* Shares near year low (Adds details, background, quotes, share price)"
"COPENHAGEN, June 25 (Reuters) - Vestas, the world's biggest wind turbine manufacturer, is closing a factory in China with the loss of up to 350 jobs, it said on Monday, just three days after scrapping plans for a factory in Britain as demand slides.
Once a darling of investors, the renewable energy sector is struggling in the global economic slowdown as support for wind power and other renewable sources has been hit by government spending cuts and a downgrading of growth prospects."

I'm thinking Dr. J Daniels or Mr.Smirnoff, Rita. It must have been a small windmill because I doubt that a regular truck could take down a big windtower. Twenty year or so from now when the windtowers are standing junk they might want to use one of these trucks to bring 'em down.

true, and the extreme heat of welding causes the parent material to become a bit weaker right on the edge of the weld.

Count on the market being flooded with cheap wind turbine generators as the Chinese Continue production regardless of what Vestas wants.
