"Hey, America, did I ever tell you the one about…"

The bald-faced lies of the prevaricator in chief continue to pile up. That story he told during the presidential debate with McCain, and then re-floated earlier this year in his campaign film, about how his cancer-stricken mother had to battle the private insurance company who wouldn't pony up because they said it was a preexisting condition? Turns out he not only made it all up, but he "knew (his) account was false because he served as his mother's attorney in all her dealings with the insurance company."

The one about his step-grandfather Soewarno Martogihardjo being killed fighting the Dutch in Indonesia? A "concocted myth in almost all respects" -- Martogihardjo actually died while hanging drapes.

As for the one about Grandpa Onyango being jailed and tortured by the colonial bastards,

Zablon Okatch, who worked with Mr Onyango as a servant for American diplomats after his supposed detention, told (David) Maraniss: "Hussein was never jailed. I know that for a fact. It would have been difficult for him to get a job with a white family, let alone a diplomat, if he once served in jail."

Dick Opar, a former senior Kenyan police official, said he "would have known" if Mr Onyango had been detained. "People make up stories," said Mr Opar…(Onyango's daughter) told Maraniss: "He was not detained"...Maraniss also notes that no records exist of the detention and that within a year of his supposed imprisonment, Mr Onyango's son, Barack Obama senior, was accepted into a prestigious boarding school in western Kenya.

Gosh, who could ever have possibly guessed that Obama would be a jive-ass president?

Not just a jive-a** - a cheap-a** as well..

Obama asks: forgo wedding presents, and donate to me instead

You racists

A real beer and popcorn moment.
No really, those plebs have no idea how to spend their own money, they'll only waste it on their kids.

racist??? Bathhouse Barry is biggest liar in history.

"Barack Obama's biographical brief edited repeatedly over 17 years, but Kenyan birthplace changed just weeks after his presidential run announced."

http://directorblue.blogspot.ca/2012/05/barack-obamas-biographical-brief-was.html

Mauser, I assume that james was making sarcastic reference to the fact that criticism of Obama is inevitably characterized as being driven by racism.

Bald-assed liars and jive-talking prevaricators come in all shapes, sizes, genders, and colours. obviously. This one just happens to be half African-American.

The "Obama-Nation(tm)'s" lies are a mile wide and an inch deep.

He'd lie the blue right out of the sky.

But then the Obama-Nation's(tm) lies have 'executive privilege'. He may be "Fast & Furious"; but he sure as Hell can't shoot straight...

I thought that corrupto-crat didn't believe in marriage, why on earth would we send him gifts when you can get violated for free by your friendly TSA agent?

Lord have mercy, but can he spin a yarn...

My bullshit meter is pegged, Actually. It's bent around the dial.

Yawn. Post an article when BO tells the truth. Now THAT would be newsworthy.

In this context, a couple of other items are worth pointing out on Mr. Obama today:

- Peggy Noonan has a good article at Real Clear Politics.

- Also, he said in Tampa that what American needs is "bottom up economics". It seems to me that this directly contradicts his "the private sector is doing fine" comment, and frankly reminds me of Jimmy Carter's "leadership needs to come from every home in America" moment (I believe that is about correct, if memory serves).

I have felt for a long time that Mr. Obama is a sort of Manchurian candidate: he plainly doesn't know what to do, doesn't really seem very interested in finding out and doesn't know his own mind. His generic policy positions seem to me to be sort of "off the rack" (to use the term about him attributed to Bill Clinton) leftist positions provided by others and for which he really has very little enthusiasm. He seems to me to leave things far too long (the economy, Afghanistan, Syria, Fast and Furious, the KSM trial, etc.) and then kind of gets pushed into an alternative course of action to placate external pressure on him.

I have never understood the political judgment which would have put the health care bill (which I'm certain will prove a mass of contradictions, even if it passes muster with SCOTUS) ahead of economic recovery, or which says it's okay to ask people not to give wedding gifts, but instead give to him (a much smaller thing to be sure).

The Maraniss revelations (false claims about being a victim of racism, colonialism and the health care system, etc.) seem to me to fit with the sense that he really has no idea who he is beyond the caricature that he or somebody else has made for him.

David Southam

Thanks for the tip on Peggy Noonan with her excellent screed. Enjoyed it a lot.

"There are weapons of mass destruction in Iraq."
"Mission Accomplished!"
Etc.

DAvid Southam - I think that's a very accurate assessment of Obama - that he has no idea who he is. He's an empty shell; he has no inner principles or beliefs he lives by. He is only a psychological neediness. This need is to control all interactions with 'the outside world' and with others.

Obama is unattached to reality, both the reality that is external to him - and he has no inner reality. All he has is that need to control.

So, he lives in a methodology that enables him to control others. This is the method of words - words to persuade people, words to tell himself about the external world - and these words and these tales have no direct valid reference to that external world.

So, he's accused of lying. But it's not so much a lie, which requires an acknowledgement that there IS an objective truth; it's instead an imagined tale about the external world. Each tale can be different from the one of yesterday - because yesterday it was a different audience which required different stories to be persuaded of Obama's power..

Quite astonishing to see - a verbose emptiness.

We can de-construct Obama and his lies until we are blue in the face. That is all very well and good. What does it say about people who would either believe his lies or not care about them? The latter truly bothers me.

Osumashi, 11:55p.m. -- You got that right. And there are a lot of people of the sort you describe. It's disturbing.

...he plainly doesn't know what to do, doesn't really seem very interested in finding out and doesn't know his own mind.

A common thing among drug users...

David, it still baffles me that he got in the first place. Now that his mettle has been tested and he is being vetted somewhat better than before, what could these people be thinking? Are they evil or thoughtless?

Fiddle's comment 12:34a.m. is absolutely priceless.

Osumashi 12:35 -- Unfortunately, I think Obama is a symptom of America itself -- not knowing who it is anymore, not believing in itself anymore, tired of global leadership, or some combination of the three.

I think a good many Americans have bought into the post-American world idea: the negative myths of Vietnam and Watergate have stuck (I can't believe how much ink has been spilled on the last issue in the last few weeks, even if it is the fortieth anniversary or something). In addition, I think many Americans feel that the economic problems that have been building for years or decades are beyond their ability to fix. I sense that there is just general fatigue: can you imagine the kind of reaction any Canadian government would get if it didn't produce an annual budget for three years in a row?

Have a look at the Rasmussen Reports polling data from Friday. He's got 45% saying that America's best days are behind it and 37% saying that America's best days are in the future.

Also, Peggy Noonan talks hopefully (as opposed to convincingly) that she thinks that Romney needs to articulate a purpose because "deep down", Americans think there's "another comeback left in her". Have a look at that article as well (see my post above).

And, I think a lot of Obama supporters are just single-mindedly determined that they want to get off the roller-coaster, and live a carefree life without having to make any tough decisions.

I hope I'm wrong, but that's how it appears to me at the moment.

Americans will get the government they deserve in November.

Wisconsin got what they needed and deserved in June. The country will repeat in spades in November.
Obama has no clue. He is the front man. Everybody else does the thinking.
He golfs, smiles and enjoys himself while somebody else does all the work.
He is an empty vessel in which the socialists, communists and marxists filled their their ideas, plans and dreams and he walked around pretending to be something he is not.
IF they get him out in November and regain the senate and keep the house it will be nothing short of a miracle.
Americans are up to the task and they showed that in 2010 and again in June.
As ole Jeremiah Wright likes to say "America's Chickens Are Coming Home to Roost" but not quite in the way HE meant!: Obama's chickens are in flight right now.

"Most Transparent Administration Evah!™ "

Obama is the equivalent of the boeing 787 dreamliner, made of composites.

What's the matter with all you hidebound, stick-in-the-mud conservatives? Don't you know that truth is something we make up? Get with it, you backward hillbillies (er, ... not that there's anything "wrong" with that)! Evolve, for Barky's sake. (/sarc)

Where I come from, we call guys like him "BS Artists". Nothing new here except the fact that now there's an official intellectual disease, ... er, theory, that gives you a license to BS. You can learn it in the even the best universities. Thank the French. Call it "The French Disease".

Look what this loser has done to the USA.....gays in the White House giving Reagan the finger....maybe they should have used the finger, they might be healthier today. Obama inviting radicals, union leftist, etc. into the White House...what a shame.

Let's face it...this is a battle of good over evil....if he wins the WH again we are in major trouble. A great country run by criminals, losers, etc.

I can't actually believe that the people of the USA would vote for Obama....if you do...you get what you asked for....forget this garbage about racism....the only racists I see are the blacks who all spout the same b.s. against white people.

Tyring to coordinate the tales this guy spins depends upon dicovering which one of the several manufactured personas inhabiting the POTUS's body is speaking at any given time. Is it coming from Barry Soetero or Barry the toker, or Prodessor BA Obama or .....

This guy has been a Dem Gollum made with pure insider BS since day one.

Obamba’s father was Frank Marshall Davis a communist radical activist – he clearly states it in his book Dreams of my Father. Allegory? Not so, more deception and deceit.

A three minute video makes a pretty clear picture.

There was a lot of time for vetting this incompetent fool before he was elected and the MSM was not interested. He had charm, spoke elequently and most important, he was black. A showcase to the world on how progressive the USA had become. After applauding and fawning over this man for more than 3 years they are now finding it very difficult to say they made a mistake and to admit that if he was white they would have abandoned his sorry ass a long time ago. That IS racism, but the left should look in the mirror before they point at the GOP. Everything the man has touched is a disaster, yet applauded by the MSM. Only the race card could have carried him this far. It certainly wasn't competency.

I think, pace ET, this analysis is wrong in all respects. I won't bore us with a phrase by phrase refutation. Barry is a ideological SOCIALIST?/FASCIST?/MARXIST?; the term doesn't matter. And a psychopath.

Again, pace ET, he is quite possibly the most ideological president ever. Neither his being a lying psychopathic gangster-thug, nor his being a lazy, ignorant main-chancer obviates his rock hard IDEOLOGY.

Were he not so impossibly IDEOLOGICAL he would have seen the disastrous results of his IDEOLOGY and changed course. As it is, the idea is to get the marxist infrastructure solidly situated such that it can't be unwound, for as we all know, government programmes don't seem to be amenable to cancellation [see: surviving New Deal programmes].

As to "off the rack" well all modern socialist-intellectuals hold unexamined off-the-rack views (just as, by the way, neo-cons do; [see: bringing democracy to the middle east through superior fire power]) impervious to fact and experience.

On topic, this all lies all the time is classic psycopathic behaviour. [see Magnotta].

Thanks for the link. Been meaning to add SDA to our blogroll - done now...

Today, we started Snark Week on the Obama Discovery Channel since we learn something new about Barry every day now.
