WTF did this exercise have to do with education? Instead of learning something useful, kids have their time wasted. Also a waste of time for the parents who have to complain about the BS their kids are subjected to.

As far as "anti-bullying" goes, the best approach to this is to have compulsory martial arts training in phys ed classes. As I found out during my junior high school years, nothing seems to deal with a bully faster than a right hook to the jaw or a knee to the groin. Never got bothered again by some of the local bullies after the slide-rule carrying geek fought back.

I have said it before and I'll say it again. Home schooling ROCKS.

To break a target victim, you must destroy their sense of self. Make the target feel like they have nothing on their side. Give them the illusion that they are completely helpless. (in that state, you can do anything to em, and they wont raise a finger against you)

One way to do this is to take deeply personal things, and force them to share these with others who do not share the best interests of the target.

Put the target in a giant group, so they are less likely, and less able to protest, ... and more pressured to conform.

And make sure the whole session is called 'anti-bullying', and the teachers will be sure to swallow it all.

As I've said, from unfortunate experience, these days a critical mass of educational administrators are children in adult bodies: their judgement is anything but sound and they have no idea about what it is to be accountable. Tears are an excellent stress reliever, makes things better, whatever you think about it.

The thing is, the assorted idiots of social engineering, the "educators", head shrinkers and other of the useless warm and fuzzy do-gooders would have no jobs if that was left alone.

It is not so much that they have a chat about it, it is the endless masturbating of the mind that screws things.

Humans are fully equipped to handle difficult situations of variety of kinds. The family is in the best position to manage the situation, though today with the new generation of parents it may be questionable. This generation needs help from government to go to brush teeth, to go to the bathroom, and other difficult activities as illustrated by the socialists in the not so great Britain.

The social engineers will make the unpleasant situation a whole lot worse than necessary for the individual children.

The sad part is that the damage, the professionals will inflict will likely be with the children for the rest of their lives.
On the bright side, after having difficult lives, some will write a book of difficult life after what happened when they were little and make few bucks.

Having raised and protected two kids through the K-12 system I am well aware of the physcobabble inflicted on the kids today.

As in this case, it seems educators are bringing in outside "deal closers" with little or no teaching certification to focus in on social science based dogma including the warmist ideology and something called native spirituality.in our area this was inflicted by a non native motivational activist .

All you can do is dig out information, let the PAC know,if they don't already, and make the superintendant's life as miserable as possible until the curricula is back on basics.

alot of this leftist indoctrinaion is allowed due to a small minority of teaching staff that are still clinging to this failed ideology and quite honestly don't get that they are crossing lines.

events like this are much more common than you'd think and this is just the tip of the iceberg...it's also a good example of why 'degrees' in the social 'sciences' should be highly regulated instead of being, as they are now, the refuge of people who want a degree on their resume but are incapable of understanding or performing the work required to actually earn one...writing drivel for 'professors' whop got their jobs by writing drivel isn't of much use to anyone and has caused much more pain than good since they need to artificially create that pain in order to create their artificial jobs 'facilitating' it.

Eagle, your post illuminates exactly what all of this 'outing' is about - teachers humiliating students so that they can get ammo to blackmail students and parents. Humiliating people makes the aggressors powerful. Teachers have strayed so far from the job that they were hired to do that most people my age are horrified if they step into a 'modern' classroom. Schools are the epicenter of pinko indoctrination.

Loki, this wasn't just a waste of resources and a lost opportunity to impart knowledge. It was a gross violation of trust and ethics. If I had my way, these "teachers" wouldn't be able to sweep floors at the local fast-food place.

Whatever happened to the 3 R's? My daughter currently is in the second grade and the lack of real world skills being taught is insane. When she was 4 years old I was teaching her basic math using flashcards, and before her 5th birthday she could recite her 10 times tables. The other day I picked her up from school and asked her what she had learned that day. She proceeded to tell me they had done some crafts, colored a picture, went to gym, and worked on single digit addition.

I am not a believer in home schooling, but obviously I am going to have to do a lot of substitute home schooling if I want her to succeed in the real world. This sycho-bullying programming is just one more thing I have to look forward to.
