One of the greatest mistakes many on the left make is to equate Intellect with intellegence.

Intellegence is intellect combined with wisdom.

And Obama is the dumbest president in possibly American history and certainly since Wilson.

Intelligent? Where are the learned articles in the Harvard Law Review?
The major position papers on Democrat policy?
The learned refutations of the Austrian School of Economics?

Nothing but cheap race-baiting comes out of Bambi. The fairest statement about him is that he has under performed the least expectations of him.

This "journalist" and her ilk is the reason why my T.V. sits in the corner gathering dust and I haven't bought a newspaper or magazine in years.

Obama doesn't think. He contrives than connives. Following it up with emotional phrases cued for emotionalism, not thought. Just look at the mans foreign policy, let alone domestic policy. If that reflects intellectualism. We might as well be mushroom in a basement.

I believe that all these assertions that he's an intellectual are the result of the (perhaps unconscious) bigotry of low expectations: "Ooh, look, he's so well-spoken!"

Obama is certainly mellifluous, in a way that makes him highly seductive to a certain segment of the population, but only people who have never read, heard, or spoken to a brilliant thinker would ever mistake him for one.

Obama's "unapologetically intellectual" in the same way I am unequivocally the Pope.

That is, not at all.

The way these people fawn over this unspectacular man makes me physically ill.

Qbama was smart enough to hold Biden up as his human shield twenty four hours before announcing his non support of traditional marriage. Obama must have found a copy of the liberal party of Canada,s red book with his hatred of marriage and guns and cars and pipelines and capitalism. The fourth smartest president evah is at least ten years behind our northern democrats, but headed in the same direction as the lefty's up here, oblivion.

If I didn't know better, I would have thought that this article was written tongue-in-cheek.

Two lines are so ludicrous that they border on being outright hilarious:

"the White House is holding Obama back."

On second thought, after having read these words again, I am convinced that the writer was simply dabbling in facetiousness and doing a fine job of it. I mean, she couldn't possibly be serious. Could she?

Well, Amy P., (9;18), then this should be especially emetic: here's Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts, recounting on-air her interview with Obama --

"And let me tell you, George, I’m getting chills again…When you sit in that room and you hear him say those historic words. It was not lost on anyone in there right there. You never know what he’s going to say until you ask him.”

So Bush was too stupid and Obama is too smart...does that mean Romney is "just right"..?

You should juxtapose this article with the one above about the Dems needing to make an "emotional, not rational" connection.

Apparently, when you have an intellectual president, you don't want people using their intellects when they come to vote.

How many times has Obama gone golfing(they had to pull him off the links to get him to deal with bin Laden) or gone on holiday since becoming POTUS?, no wait, it's being leader of the free world that's bogging the poor lil' chitlin.

Maybe if he'd given one less Cairo speech or one tonne less of US/UK Strategic Missile Order of Battle documents to the Russians he just might have served the American people a bit more effectively.
I do see where she has a point.

I agree he is an intellectual, the world is full of symbols and constucts and frameworks to be manioulated, at least to him. The difference between building a bridge in your head and reality. In Obama's head this all played out, economy saved, climate saved, world saved Obama takes a victory lap on his way to being Head of the UN with new powers.

That it has no connection to reality, that the bridge he built in his mind is unassembled and/or in a heap on the floor doesnt matter to him or his supporters, they dont think that way.

Heard him speak again yesterday, and its still me and my and if only congress would do something. Someone elses fault to his grand plans.

Obama is the first affirmative action President. He was elected because of the colour of his skin rather than the content of his character.

The problem with drug use is eventually you will write a column like this.

He was a part time LECTURER for 12 years and does not, to the best of my knowledge, have a single peer-reviewed publication. He never even practiced law to a meaningful degree.

Obama's empty head matches his empty suit.
