Alberta PC-itis spreads to the UK: According to this story in the Daily Mail, executives of the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, a government watchdog group created in 2009 by the Parliamentary Standards Act with the intention of having them monitor MPs' expenses after a series of outrageous expense-claim scandals, claim £400 a day each for meetings they don't attend.

Looks like it's just about lights out for Detroit. As if it wasn't bad enough to have to go somwhere at night before.
