Ms Warren is obviously from the Manhattan Cherokees...
Does anyone else find it ironic that Boris Buy-a-vowel is a Liberal arguing that improper identification and similar such breaches are the reason he lost when Liberals howled the loudest against tightening voter identification laws?

Dems Disenfranchise Voters After Polls Show Obama in Close Primary Race
"Is this some kind of North Korea thing?"
http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/dems-disenfranchise-obamas-primary-opponent-after-polls-show-close-race-ark_645125.html
After a poll released this week showed President Barack Obama only beating his Democratic primary opponent John Wolfe Jr. by seven points, 45 percent to 38 percent, in Arkansas's Fourth Congressional District, state Democrats moved to practically disenfranchise Arkansas voters. "[D]elegates Wolfe might claim won't be recognized at the national convention," national party officials are telling state Democrats. Wolfe is being accused of not following the party rules.
“They want a coronation,” Wolfe tells THE WEEKLY STANDARD. “They’re conflating [Obama] with the party. Are we supposed to call him ‘Dear Leader’? Is this some kind of North Korea thing?
Wolfe insists he’s done the due diligence to qualify for delegates and that the state party is making decisions ad hoc to get the results they desire. “This is ridiculous," he says. "These guys are trying to tamp down voter enthusiasm.”
If he's denied delegates he's rightfully won, Wolfe says, Democrats would be effectively disenfranchising those who chose him over President Obama. And if that happens, he’ll take his own party to court.
“They took my money and put my name on the ballot,” he says. “They’re trying to make people think it’s hopeless to vote against Obama.”
Wolfe is also on the ballot for Texas’s primary on May 29.
and it didn't take 'bama long to co-opt his opponent that can't really stop his doing so...makes you wonder who belongs behind bars.

Keith Judd, a federal inmate incarcerated in Texas, garnered 40 percent of the vote in the Democratic primary in West Virginia yesterday. The good showing by the convict is a bit of an embarrassment for Barack Obama, but the president's reelection campaign appears to be taking advantage of the situation. The address keithjudd.com mysteriously redirects to a donation page for Obama-Biden 2012.

WASHINGTON – Less than three months after he was robbed at his vacation home in the Caribbean, Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer has been targeted again -- this time by burglars at his Washington, D.C., house.
there's hope yet....

OTTAWA — The Supreme Court justice at the forefront of a controversial decision on religious freedom is retiring.
Justice Marie Deschamps will step down from the highest court in the land on Aug. 7.
...parents argued the curriculum teaches religious relativism and undermines their kids' Roman Catholic beliefs, but Deschamps wrote that allowing an exemption would be a "rejection of the multicultural reality of Canadian society."
And before long, Harper will have two more Supreme Court spots to fill.
Justice Morris Fish is due to retire next year, while Justice Louis LeBel will reach the mandatory retirement age in 2014.
By the time of the next election, it's likely Harper will have appointed seven of the nine Supreme Court justices.

The Ugly: all but 19 GOPers voted against that legislation.

The recipes from "Elizabeth Warren – Cherokee" include a crab dish with tomato mayonnaise. Mrs. Warren's fictional Cherokee ancestors in Oklahoma were renowned for their ability to spear the fast-moving Oklahoma crab. It's in the state song: "Ooooooklahoma! Where the crabs come sweepin' down the plain." But then the white man came, and now the Oklahoma crab is extinct, and at the Cherokee clambakes they have to make do with Mrs. Warren's traditional Five Tribes recipe for Cherokee Lime Pie.

Facebook is going to be a faceplant.
Once a company goes public it's reason for being is the only thing that matters to share holders, that being the question, how much money did you make for me today.
What makes a company profitable is the demand for it's products....basic stuff thats not earth shattering.
So how does FB make money?
Their cache is the millions of pairs of eyeballs advertisers want a piece of....how unique, a web based service that can be used as an advertising medium...not.
Those "eyeballs" have a common likeness. The majority of them are not using facebook to go shopping.
This reality was not lost on GM when it bailed.
The fact that the share price had no appreciable gain on the first day tells me a lot of people are going to be taking a bath come monday.

Mark Steyn nails it.
This is not about birther theories. This is about young Barry Obama trying to create some street cred than being a kid from Hawaii. The bio was likely submitted by Obama to the publisher. Obama did not think he was running for president then.
This is very similar to what Liz Warren did in pretending to be a Cherokee (even though the only Cherokee connection she has is a relative who helped round up the tribe for the Trail of Tears). Liz also plagiarized some recipes for Pow Wow Chow (who knew that the Cherokees loved cold crab omelets that where the favorite of Cole Porter and the Duke and Dutchess of Windsor!).
A brilliant humane society parody.

Three Halifax men were charged by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Friday for their roles in an immigration fraud scheme, the agency said in a statement.
After a lengthy investigation into the activities of Canada 2000 Immigration and Business Services Inc., a licensed immigration consulting business operating in Halifax, Ziad El Shurafa and Mohammed Elhajabed were charged with eight counts of counselling misrepresentation under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Awni Sakalla has been charged with two counts of counselling misrepresentation.
The CBSA says "each charge represents a situation where the individuals assisted a family in committing residency fraud - creating the fictitious appearance of a Canadian residence for immigrants with Canadian permanent resident status for the purpose of maintaining that status and obtaining Canadian citizenship.
It says the charges relate to activities going as far back as January 2006.
"Immigration fraud is a criminal offence in Canada and damages the integrity of our immigration system," Andrew LeFrank, a CBSA spokesman said in the statement. "The CBSA takes this issue very seriously and works closely with its partners to identify, investigate and prosecute those engaging in immigration fraud to the full extent of the law."

" Justice Thomas Lederer set aside 79 ballots in his decision Friday in Toronto. '
Wait a minute. These ballots were cast for ,I assume, different parties.
If the percentages of votes on these ballots were along the same lines as the other votes, the election should stand.
There may be some serious wrong being done here by Elections Canada.
We should be told the number of ballots that were set aside for each party. If 30 of the votes set aside were for the Liberal candidate, the election should stand. Do the math.

However, this one should be looked at,it sounds like our CBC follows the BBC unwritten guidelines about coverage of islam .

WallyjL I agree that the decision here might be worth appealing or should be solvable outside of an election, however, your comment re: "We should be told the number of ballots that were set aside for each party." is not central to the issue. We do not know how any of these people voted. What is in dispute is whether they should have been voting at all. The registrations are being looked at. Not the ballots.
Question: I don't think Elections Canada can determine how a registered voter voted -- can they? In the case of the Etobicoke disputed election, it would be useful. My suspicion is that the majority of the votes were Liberal.
