And no doubt Citi's only regret is they got caught. Have yet to see any of the guilty be prosecuted - only bailed out because, after all, they're "too big to fail".
All the big banks in the States and Europe need to be dismantled, their executives jailed for massive, globe-spanning fraud, their headquarters demolished, and the earth beneath them salted. Then nuke them from orbit to be sure. That goes for the Federal Reserve and ECB too.
I see the media continue to do the bidding of the Obama administration. This article lays out a detailed case of corruption within a large bank then, almost as an aside, throws in a "Mitt Romney wants to repeal Dodd-Frank" without any further elaboration. The implication is that Romney would deny the government the ability to prosecute cases like the very one this article had just studiously described. There are in fact many reasons to be opposed to Dodd-Frank that have nothing to do with accountability.
She made all her notes on Citibank on her home computer. Probably a good idea for those taking on anyone with those deep pockets, a computer without any wires going into it or out of it...
Why this blog? Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media

have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice
of an ordinary Canadian
yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I can't answer or use every
tip, but all are
appreciated!

A den of vipers and thieves, the lot of them.
Capitalism works best when its participants have a healthy measure of integrity and honesty.
Unfortunately, human nature often takes over.
Once a society loses its moral compass, the results are inevitable ... no matter how many people you threaten to nuke.
Once again, corruption at the highest levels of the economic system - but no convictions for white collar criminals connected to the big 5.

Its amazing what one honest human being can do.
If there had been more in all these companies. America would not be in crisis.
