You know, at one point I felt a little sorry for the residents of California. Now in retrospect, I think the only way they'll ever learn is to end up picking $hit with the chickens, as they have voted themselves into poverty.
They can be happy to know however, that the crumbs they are fighting the organically grown, free range chickens for, are likely grown on a farm in a more common sense jurisdiction.
California:
Deficit: $16billion
Net debt: $612billion
Population 38million
GDP $1.9 Trillion
Deficit/capita: ~$420
Ontario:
Deficit: $15 billion
Net debt: $250billion
Population: 13million
GDP: $612 Million
Deficit/capita: ~$1150
Canada's own California is many times more bankrupt than the real thing, yet it catches much less spotlight. When Ontario blows up it WILL take Canada down with it.
Everyone's solution is to raise taxes, not to cut spending. Proposition 13 was the result of overtaxation. I don't think they can ever ask that it be revoked when such fiscal incompetence is readily apparent. The speed of the tax grab that would come with the dropping Proposition 13 would be blinding.
Meanwhile, the San Francisco Chronicle, paying attention to the important things, has a slide show entirled "20 Utterly Inspiring Moms". It includes the usual lefties (Moochelle, the Hildebeest, Tina Fey), and, of all people, Cher.
Yes it will, but mostly goodbye socialist land Quebec.
Who you gonna mooch from when everyone is broke? I include Alberta here because the UN socialist Redford, will pick Albertans bones clean making more government than taxing more to make it even bigger..
Why this blog? Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice
of an ordinary Canadian
yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

They did. Didn't you hear the Hollyweird elite just coughed up $15 mill in one night for Oblamebush?
Now, who are the real one percenters?
" Tax the rich
Feed the poor
Til there are no rich no more..."
Nice song..... from who?
I know! I know!
California can start unicorn farms! Everyone will want one, and they will bring in millions of tourists to see the little unicorns frolic and gambol.
And they already have plenty of Mexicans to clean up the unicorn droppings!
Winwinwinwin!!
