Muslim men seem to have fragile egos and are extremely insecure. They need their women to dress like bee keepers in order to feel like they won't tempt other men. Sad. My contact with muslim men at work and socially suggests extreme insecurity. Everything is taken as an insult, anger rises immediately with any disagreement.

Such types will always bully those who are weaker than they are. This is true in any culture or religion, but it seems to be endemic to Islam.

One caveat - this seems apply mostly to Arab or African muslims. It does not seem as much of an issue with muslims from India or Pakistan.

BTW right now the worst of the publicized honour violence in Toronto is occuring in the Sikh community.

I think the solution to the problem is to get their women onto the gun range and encourage them to fight back. I suspect that "honor violence" will be much less of a problem when the attempted target of an "honor killing" is a woman with a .45. Look at this not as a problem, but as a means of getting concealed carry in Canada.

There should be a moratorium on Muslim immigration.
The way it is going at the moment especially in regards to their inability or unwillingness to adapt to Canadian culture suggests that we are importing a huge bag of problems. A study should be conducted and a reassessment done as to which Muslims we want and those we those don't want.

Many of the recent arrivals have no intention of ever becoming Canadian, and to them we should say no.

A better word than "prevalent" might be "acceptable" !

Does CBC find the beating, maiming and murder of women and children acceptable?

Why do we still let these people into Canada? I think on one day of the year we should all dress up with mask and hoods on and frequent Muslim stores, and Canadian stores. Heck....we could all wear burkas.....pretty soon the government would make a law that says no face is to be covered, unless, it is really ugly.
