That blog is subtitled "REPORTS & MUSINGS FROM THE VETERAN GAY AND AIDS HUMAN RIGHTS ADVOCATE". Right there at the top of the page there are big shiny advertisements for big gay vacations. ("RVP ALL-GAY VACATIONS" - isn't that discriminatory? Breeders are people too, you know.) That strikes me as an insane marketing campaign in and of itself. What's the target audience thought process supposed to be? "Hey, here's a blog about having AIDS! Just thinking about that puts me in the mood to get it on with a bunch of strangers. Where's my Mastercard?"
Yes all good little hopey-changey quislings will march on down in orderly fashon to the state health commissariate and put your DNA on file with the Feds for future framing purposes should you display the wrong politial opinions - or the AIDS booger man will getcha!
Also in the "voting toolkit": "a safety message about coyotes in the city, which was from the Recreation and Parks Department".
Yes, there are coyotes in San Francisco, and, yes, there is a sufficient number of citizens opposed to shooting them that the city/county (San Francisco is its own county, for which, I'm sure, all sane residents of San Mateo county are grateful) isn't doing so.
Democrats are constantly belittling Republicans as stupid. Democrats are the ones who can't figure out how to get a photo ID. For the record, every teenaged Republican has a photo ID with their age listed as 21. It can't be all that hard.
Plenty of them varmints in Edmonton River Vally parks trails as well. Which run right through the City center. Our Mayor forbids culling being a bleeding heart liberal. Every summer the town is plastered with missing dog posters. Is there a connection do you think? Mangy looking critters to. The nice shinny looking ones are found outside the City. Oh yeah needless to say many cats dissipate from view as well. Than again we have a large Chinese community. No one cares about rabbits.
Registering for their future execution in the name of progressivism. Only the ones coming will not be of that ilk. Most likely the Islamists will love the hard work done to identify those they want to kill first. Just like so many census have been used Historically to identify racial groups for "reprocessing".
My daughter ate there a week before they were busted.
"There is no law against selling and serving canine meat, including dogs, but it must be killed and gutted in front of federal inspectors."
There weren't busted for dog meat - they were busted for uninspected dog meat of the coyote variety which meant they were illegally selling wildlife also.
I've been contemplating moving to Canada, depending on the results of the Supreme Court decision on Obamacare and of the November election. Thanks to your post, I've just crossed Edmonton off the list of places in Canada that I've been considering.
You know the funny part is, these folks have no qualms at all killing Beavers, since they wreck the 300 miles of trails with dams. So they can't bike or run.
Frankly you would probably be more happy In Calgary.
No University with the Ledge (Legislature) running things. Most of the Texas colony (What they call themselves) lives there as well.
If you like Cowboy culture, its the place for you.
Edmonton is more artsy fartsy.
Iowa Jim - I spent over 25 years in Edmonton (also known as Deadmonton) and when I decided to move back west from Toronto (I actually escaped), I chose Calgary, because it is a more vibrant, work oriented city and the scenery is wonderful. I personally think if President Obama is re-elected, that many Americans will be looking to move to western Canada. I say, "let's put out the Welcome mat!"
Why this blog? Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice
of an ordinary Canadian
yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I can't answer or use every
tip, but all are
appreciated!

Coyotes, gays, Pelosi and San Fran... there has to be a joke there somewhere. But don't you dare ask for ID in order to vote.

I suspect no packing plant actually kills dogs.
