Yes it is time to make our policies less restrictive. If they aren't terrorists, other criminals, or dangerously infectious (ie 99.99% of those applying to come here) then there is no rational reason to keep them out. PEI can become the East Coast's Staten Island. Finally, a use for PEI.

Yep, could they start via flagging Europian socialists as not good enough or "Undesirable". They've ruined their countries and now want a crack at Canada, I'd rather take a refugee from Africa than a liberal from Europe.

File that under ... `No Sh!t Sherlock!`

Yes. Ten year moratorium. Minimum.

And I'd estimate that roughly 70-80% of the population agrees.

UN Agenda 21 disagrees.

No private land and open borders, the little people need to share.

Not only is it time, but it is long overdue. First the number must be greatly reduced and then tied to the economy/market needs. Second family reunification should be limited to spouse and dependent children. Last but not least the selection process must be revised to favour those with needed skills and abilities and those who will most likely integrate.

The G&M has had a big week-long push to try to make the case that Canada should increase immigration numbers to 400,000 a year and more. They have rigged the voting polls (somehow in the space of a couple hours the number for compared with those against, inverted in favor of the "for"). The comments are almost without exception negative to increased immigration. It's another blatant case of trying to massage the so-called news to fulfil someone's agenda--not clear whose.

Yea so what, but what does the obligatory CBC black man say?

No sure about what else their say'n every taxi cab driver in Calgary is a doctor and a potential Liberal MLA.
