In the event there are those who claim good advertising doesn't work, allow me to state that I have been struggling with a decision of where and how to invest a significant amount of cash in my retirement account. P&G was among several blue chippers recommended by my financial advisor. All passed due diligence and I remained undecided until now.
This advertisement was the deciding factor in allowing me to 'phone my broker tomorrow and invest in P&G.
Nice to see a positive message for once. Not liberals asking to give to obrtuaries on Mothers day for one.
If it was up to the State families would be dead. Mothers replaced by single childless, approved Psychologists with a degree in sexology.
The Children placed in Government crèches
All sports - where is the mom helping with homework, reading a story, teaching a kid how to cook or iron or run the washing machine/lawnmover or to drive a car?
Priorities....my Mom taught me all those things and a lot more...I was never on a sport team so my Mom never went to any 'games' or to any ballet things - she did teach me how to saddle and bridle my own horse.
Feely good videos like this are okay I guess; I shouldn't be so critical on Mother's Day.
This epitomizes the true role of women who are moms: the sacrifices they make for, the care they take of, and the pride and love they feel for their children, Olympic winners or not.
At the end of the day, after meals, laundry, volunteering in the school, taking my kids to dancing, choir, and other rehearsals, singing in a choir myself, visiting and baking for sick neighbours, etc., etc., the most satisfying part of my day was tip-toeing into my sleeping children's bedrooms, just before going to bed myself, softly kissing them and saying a prayer of thanksgiving for their lives and that they were healthy and safe -- and mine!
When you twist reality to remove all fathers from a family's Olympic dream equation, you end up with a sexist, pandering and contrived pile of crap. Like, say, this commercial.
Why this blog? Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media

have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice
of an ordinary Canadian
yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Good commercial and nice to see that it going against the feminist and leftist narrative.

soundofmusak, I really really wanted to wish Michelle Obama a Happy Mother's Day, but she's not my mother, so "Oh well..."
Obama Biden sure try all the tricks, don't they?
A tich self-absorbed, I'd say.
Chutz, what has Michelle Obama done for me? Bloody nothing except making the bile rise to my throat.
Unlike my actual mum.
Thanks, Mum.
And good commercial.
Old African saying about mothers and their children, "She is a tree of life to them."
My Mom and Dad passed away many years ago. Hardly a day that goes by that I don't think about them.
If you are fortunate enough to still have your parents with you, cherish and love them while you still can do so.
Beautiful! I don't have any star athletes, but I can certainly relate...always desiring what is best for my kids, and cheering them on to achieve it.

My mom was ALWAYS there for me - me and my eight siblings. She's in heaven - the angel that she is.
Merci, maman. Au revoir.
Hoorah, sexism!
