When the anarchists show up to protest the media, you're supposed to go get some popcorn, not pick a favourite.
A squad of uniformed Montreal police kept watch on the scene across Notre Dame St., and district commander Alain Simoneau intervened several times when confrontations between demonstrators and media seemed on the verge of escalating. A television crew from Radio-Canada, trying to tape a report from the scene, had to cross the street in an effort to escape efforts by masked protesters to hinder them.
