If the current memes in governing politics is any indication, "forwardism" is code for implementing a transnational governing cabal that is a mutation of soviet styled authoritarian administrative systems, curtailed civil liberty, quasi police state justice under a new form of martial law by a political class elite which represent only patron corporate interests. Partisanism will be outmoded by all parties allowed to play in the governing system will be different degrees of the same ideology.

The future is bleak because I hear again and again from social engineers, politicians and academics we are in a post democratic, post capitalist era - they believe liberal democratic systems have not brought about the utopian governing model (which resembles some form of modern Plutocracy where collectivist philosopher kings and corporate elites run a scientific dictatorship with compartmentalized "experts" in charge of specific commissariats in a demand economy with controlled markets run by authorized monopolists)

The harbinger of this Orwellian future is that we all witness western governments and civil servants at all levels displaying a collective contempt for the people whose taxes (productivity) they consume, - Police are more brutal and act like occupiers enforcing laws they make up as they go, - Judiciary is more prone to enforce policy and ideology rather than law/justice, - politicians are more openly dismissive of public opinion of their priorities being weighted to special interests - petty bureaucrats in administrative rolls build empires to defray discipline and accountability and make their own laws many of which are unconstitutional, - media is more openly acting as a propaganda wing of the status quo political oligarchy, bankers and corporations seem to have no scruples and love to help themselves to public treasury to underwrite their losses/risk., pedagogues seem intent on indoctrinating new generations in toxic ideologies rather than educating them and training them to use reason and think independently.

Individual freedom, personal integrity, truth, reason, equality before law, civil liberty and individual political empowerment are on the wane. A new global political ideology and governing order is in ascension and it is an amalgamation of the world's worst ideas by the world’s most dangerous people. In many ways we find ourselves in an era of upheaval like they did in the first of the last century where toxic ideologies and dangerous demagogues produced fascist and communist totalitarianism.

From all indications it seems that in the very near future if you value and defend traditional liberal democratic values, natural rights of the individual, equity in justice and civil liberty you will be targeted for oppression by malevolent NGOs empowered by the state. You WILL have to defend these values - probably with risk to your freedom, property and your life. Better to start the fight now when there is a chance you can win with what is still functionally intact of the old system before you have to fight when your options of political and judicial regress are limited.

As always, Greenfield nails it - calling out forwardism for what it is - Blindly forging ahead, never checking the side or rear-view mirrors. i.e., a total lack of situational awareness. IOW the driver isn't qualified.

Occam, I'm speechless, and that's rare! Splendid comment!

Recalling my numerous debates with ET on whether or not Obama is a marxist, I can only say if ET's right, the co-incidences have achieved critical mass. The 100% correspondence between his and marxist ideology/methodology is downright UNCANNY.
