In the late 1960's, Canada's Governor General began a campaign to out the Mafia. The CBC was caused to run a series of programs exposing them and writers were commissioned to publish books and articles. Much of the Mafia originating propaganda was exposed.
This is probably the only way the story can be told without the radical Left filter if at all.
Should we write to the GG?

Wow. I'll listen to the last half of this after I get home from work. Already, questions I've had for some time are being answered.

Thank you, Kate.

As always in all eras, the emeny of the people does not march up to the city walls declaring war - the enemy is on our side of the wall telling us there is nothing to fear if we leave the gate open to the enemy outside the wall.

Beck: Why is it happening?

Answer: Because the beneficiaries of western civilization are too comfortable, cowardly or stupid to stop it.

So now Sasha is advising the so-called leader of the free world? Sad, to see what the US has become under this Manchurian.

Great video! Thanks Soccermom and Kate.

Tarek confirms what most of us have known for some time, that the left in the western liberal democracies are colluding with radical Islam to destroy liberal democracy. We see it here in Canada everyday and can see it in Quebec with the unions supporting the rioting anarchist students.

Thanks Kate!

Here is Part II of that interview:

He might be NDP but I bet he doesn't get air time at the CBC! That interview should be played at every university in Canada.

Jamie McMaster's quote is bang on. Deprivation sharpens the senses and western society is simply to fat.

Thankyou for posting this interview! Wow! Tarek Fatah is a hero!

When Tarek Fatah and those like him who have lived under the regimes of terror to excape or move to a foreign country to find some sort of 'freedom' and peace then later to say to Glenn "He is 'SCARED' you can better your bottom dollar Tarek is scared.
He sees what no other but those who have suffered through it, a slow dangerous fall to our 'way of life'

Comfort pleasures security will come to a to a halt. And those who have craved for the 'dark side' will face it first before others.

When you see the media start slowly to dismantle their true self sense worth as journalist to enjoy the thrill of joy of seeing and reporting 'fear' without any reason behind it we have every right to be afraid of them.

It makes my blood boil to see and hear the opposition and their deadbeat useless good for nothing media chant for the enemy.

They sound like a bunch of crusaders for the deep left end.

The greatest triumph for the DEVIL was convincing a critical mass that he does not exist.

"Millionaires mimicking misery." What a great line, exposing the idiocy of comfortable people telling us how bad capitalism and western societies are.

There is no real comparison between Arab springs, where radical Islamists compete with other radical Islamists, with Quebec students whining for more entitlements, demanding dignity while they don masks and destroy private property.

I've always enjoyed Mr Fatah's previous discussions with Michael Coren. While I don't share his ideological viewpoint, he shows where the true common ground should lie; we must all be united against totalitarianism.

Instead we get idiotic rationalizations about root causes and other nonsense where beliefs that should be at conflict become political bedfellows, such as trade unions promoting Muslim brotherhoods, who would hang union leaders at the first opportunity.

It's an all cats are dogs argument. Just because some similarities exist (all dogs and cats have four legs) philosophies and beliefs are not identical. Equivalentism is a dangerous approach.

In spite of the internet and massive information availability, we, particularly in the comfortable West, seem to have lost the ability to think deeply or critically. Fatah and Beck expose that, in spite of their differing political viewpoints and deserve our thanks.

Groupthink has led to so much misery so it's amazing that it persists in societies.

If the Marxist would ever take over to the point that they could do as would like, Tarek Fatah, the socialist, would considered a deviationist and done away with.

So how long does this guy have to live?

@ Ken (Kulak)
If the Marxist would ever take over to the point that they could do as would like, Tarek Fatah, the socialist, would considered a deviationist and done away with.

excerpts from Wikipedia's profile of Fatah:

"He became involved in the Ontario New Democratic Party (NDP) and worked on the staff of Premier Bob Rae. Fatah was an NDP candidate in the 1995 provincial election but was unsuccessful. He subsequently worked for Howard Hampton.

"Fatah was a student Marxist leftist radical in the 1960s and 1970s.

"The Muslim Canadian Congress, which Tarek Fatah founded and led till August 2006, supported the campaign of boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel as of May 2006."

Real Marxists know that Muslim Brotherhood and Islamists are their enemies. Not only that, real Marxists probably learned lessons from Iran and Pakistan .
In Iran Tudeh people (who were marxists/communists) fought with islamists against the shah. And after victory islamists (khomeinists) killed most of Tudeh people. In Pakistan there was Baluchi marxist insurgency, and baluchis lost.
Therefore, I am not sure that Marxists would consider Tarek deviationist.
However, Marxists did not win and Tarek is not only an ally but a reasonable person and that is what is most important right now.

People are changing, they do not stay the same their whole life.
Their beliefs do not stay the same.
Some were secular and changed into fundamentalists, some changed the other way round.
As for supporting boycott--- tell me, why Tarek resigned from leadership of MCC? Was it not because his views on some things were not the same as views of majority of the members of MCC?

and yet....

msnbc's bashir calls a catholic cardinal "not very Christian" because he opposes 'bama telling him how to run his religion...

can't help but wonder how many mosques are being forced to provide birth control and abortions...

Rizwan and ella, interesting, thanks, maybe I should have googled the fellow. So maybe the anti-radical Muslim Tarek is being a little devious, and while appearing to be reasonable, is actually inwardly upset at the competition from the Islamists in working toward the destruction of liberal democracy.

However, it may be possible that he saw the light on the way to Jerusalem and is no longer an anti-Israeli or a Bolshevik. Don't forget that Lenin's Bolsheviks hated Europe's Social Democrats almost as much as capitalists.

Tarek Fatah's defense of Western Civilization and particularly that of Canada and the U.S. is, I believe, genuine.

As an Ismaili Muslim(a much persecuted, liberal minority shia sect), he's known firsthand how the wahabi/salafist/Al-Quaid,Muslim Brotherhoods operate. It's a rare and valuable insight.

He is, as he says in the "dusk" of life, partly because of his age and not long ago he had surgery for cancer. He has received death threats in Canada ever since he's gone public with his warnings.

He deserves an Order of Canada appointment for his work.

The orthodox Muslims regard the Ismaili liberalism as apostasy, and they are thus under constant threat from the aggressive Islamists. Canada has long given refuge to them. Some are or have been active in politics. Some like former Reform M.P. Rahim Affer in center right or like Tarek Fatah in the NDP(back when the center left still small "l" liberal values(science, the enlightenment, and a blue collar and rural base, many of whom must now vote Conservative).

There is no one who sounds the alarm and explains it better than he does, which is why Glen Beck is so impressed.

The "Stealth Jihad" of the Muslim Brotherhood is a big problem in U.K. politics. It is truly alarming that it has infiltrated so deeply into the Obama administration.

Whether we defeat the Stealth Jihad and how soon and at what cost will depend on the degree and quality of public discourse. Preventing and suppressing such discourse is fundamental for the imposition of Sharia law.

There are many Muslim ethnic enclaves that have been established in Europe where Shariah law is in effect to various degrees. It's in an earlier stage here in North America, but it is most everywhere now.

If we fail to heed the warning of Tarek Fatah (et al, within a generation, we'll be in the low intensity civil war Europe now faces.

Note-Compared to the danger to Western Civilization by this, the third Jihad, our internal partisan politics are small potatoes.

The self-appointed politically correct elite are actually few in number and fade in influence as free speech flourishes.

However, it may be possible that he saw the light on the way to Jerusalem and is no longer an anti-Israeli or a Bolshevik...

I think that's it. He's at least part way down that heart-for-brains exchange that a lot of socialists never get to.

Fatah has my vote on the ideology but on economics and social policy... fail.

And his point about there being a united front in Canada, a consensus, against "Islamism," as he calls it, is pure bull shyte. He needs go no farther than his own party to figure that out.

The interesting thing is a shift to limited government would put Fatah pretty much in the same ballpark as Beck.

Mark, "And his point about there being a united front in Canada, a consensus, against "Islamism," as he calls it, is pure bull shyte. He needs go no farther than his own party to figure that out."

Exactly, most of the Liberal Party of Canada is in the tank also, as well as many university academics and students.

I think that is wishful thinking on Tarek's part.

As baffling as the Islamist mindset may be, it stuns me even more than no one gets how destructive it is for the civilisation we now live in. We are destroying ourselves by embracing it. We commit suicide by not heeding the warnings. How frightening it is for someone who knows how this will all end to witness the same path to destruction.

I'm clear that the reason we're committing suicide here in the West because if you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything.

What we're not standing for is our Judeo-Christian heritage: We've sold it for a bowl of pottage; we've forsaken it for an affluent, secular, comfortable, lazy lifestyle.

It's uncomfortable to admit that multiculturalism has opened our Western societies to destruction from within. It would mean we'd have to do something; we'd have to admit that our happy-clappy, more pavilions at folk fest, vision of multiculturalism has utterly failed -- and, in fact, has put our Western Civilization in danger.

What danger? Everything's fine. Just move along. Hey, open another beer for me, will 'ya and put another steak on the barbie.
