The more things change the more they stay the same.

Southern Ontario had the warmest March ever.

This compared with several winters, of the past 5 years, that were at least at average or above average for snow. Only 4 years ago, we had one of the earliest starts to winter in a long, long time.

Two things are of interest.

First, we now keep hearing about how warm this year is and how it shows how global warming IS the problem.

Secondly, we noticed how not one, that's right, NOT ONE person complained about the warm weather.

They couldn't be found for comment because they were too busy getting their summer clothes on as fast as they possibly could.

If this is global warming, bring it on.

And by the way, just as the ice isn't melting, the oceans aren't rising either.

The fact is that globally more people would be at risk of death due to colder temperatures than would be at risk due to warmer temperatures.

this is 2012, according to the global warming myth makers ,the oceans were to have risen by 5 meters by now ( prediction of 10 years ago) the fact that they had only risen by a millimeter in a century prior seemed to have no influence on their prediction nor the stunts in the Maldives where they figured they would be underwater by now. the Maldives owe their very existance to rising sea levels where atolls were created by building coral beds and then falling sea levels exposed them .

Now this is uncomfortable...

Cue the greenies' cry for 2012:

This is sea ice extent. It shows that the extent is approaching the long term average in the Antarctic. Antarctic Sea ice area does not show this. What is interesting is what is happening around the archipeligo. Sea ice is well ahead of normal in the western side of the archipeligo and is expanding around the tip into the eastern side.
You can see the effect of wind on ice as it is blown towards South America. Will this refreeze in place giving the Archipeligo a more rapid build up of sea ice.

I just don't get this, President Carter said burning those nasty fossil fuels was gona create an Ice Age. Maybe that was why he came on TV and claimed we were running out of gas ?

I'm sure this has been said before somewhere, but, evertime I read or hear an alarmist telling me how to stop climate change all I can think of is early man in a cave somewhere being frightened of a lightning storm and deciding that maybe sacrificing a lamb or a chicken is the best way to end the storm. Early man had an excuse for that kind of stupidity, whats Suzukis excuse?

But then Antarctic ice extent is totally irrelevant and meaningless. We know this is so because while the alarmists were in hysterics the last few years about (temporary) Arctic ice decline, they never once mentioned Antarctic ice. It was as if it doesn't exist.
