Now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose!
Cecil Roberts, president of United Mine Workers of America - “This rule is an all-out, in my opinion, decision by the EPA that we’re never going to have another coal-fired facility in the United States that’s constructed...”
Cecil Roberts, president of United Mine Workers of America - ... the United Mine Workers of America likely won’t actively oppose President Obama’s reelection bid.

Karma is such a beeatch, especially when you are a lying, cheating union democrat.
I understand not biting the hand that feeds you, even if that hand is attached to a jerk, but NOT biting the hand that wants to DESTROY you?
There are some very twisted minds on the left.
Oh my, the one screwed you..... sucker..
Shouldn't this be under the heading "Pleasing your enemies...."?
The Obama-loving union bosses will be okay. They will have enough time to structure severance packages for themselves. However, Obama and his union leader patsies will give "fire in the hole" a whole new meaning for the working miners.
It's too bad that unions have to be clubbed bloody before we relize how we have been used to persue leaders and policies contrary to our own well being.
With apologies for a segue but after seeing the strange poll in Alberta this morning, I sure hope that Albertans remember this lesson too if they don't get rid of Redford!!!
Ha, just another group of bitter clingers those coal miners are!
And that is all the proof one needs that the only thing that private sector unions are certain to accomplish is eventually destroying the jobs of their members.
Public sector unions (the organized criminals running Western governments) however, are immune from all economic reality until reaching the most decadent and crumbling state of collapse such as Greece now, Spain soon, etc, etc.....
Whereas the private sector unions only destroy their own industries, the public sector unions take down their entire nation with their antics. Of course, their statist partners in crime, the institutional left, are all contributing actors.
Shutting down America one industry at a time...
Boy are they ever going to be poached over a coal fired pit!

There is something to the saying:
"Be careful what you wish for, you may get it".
If it did not affect those that know the difference and oppose, it could be said that the situation is some kind of schadenfreude.
hahahahaha
it's good for the soul to have a good laugh
I am sure that Mr. Richards will be looked after.
It is no doubt true that "the government you elect is government you deserve" but the government which you elect may not be the government which I deserve!
Hey, this story looks familiar... :-)
Remember now, all you good union guys vote for Obama so you will lose your jobs and he will put you on social income and you won't have to work any more. THAT'S THE AMERICAN WAY.

The best tag I've seen for this type of article is James Taranto's "Two Papers in One"
Example: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303362404575580273655487494.html
Two Papers in One!
"The incident was one of two stompings reported to Lexington police outside the debate, where scores of supporters of both candidates had gathered in the parking lot for a rally. [Rand] Paul supporter Marsha Foster, 49, reported that earlier in the night a person had intentionally stomped on her broken foot, causing "minor visible injuries," according to a police report."--news story, Lexington (Ky.) Herald-Leader, Oct. 27
"The Paul campaign condemned the attack, disassociated itself from the volunteer who stomped the woman's head and called on activists 'on both sides' to avoid 'physical altercations of any kind.' The problem with the Paul statement is that only one side, his side, resorted to violence."--editorial, Lexington Herald-Leader, Oct. 27
Looks to me like the coal mining will do fine... just like the Keystone Pipeline:

Obama don't want it, Obama won't git it. Someone else wants it though.
Ivory tower marxists have found white and black private industry skilled workers and heavy
industry people a little too independent and lacking in good follower qualities for their tastes.
The lazy big mouths who become their union bosses they find more amenable.
What a@c said.
Man, I just watched Atlas Shrugged Part 1 tonight on DVD. Its like a frickin' instruction manual for how these clowns operate. Cecil Roberts just threw all his men under the train so he could keep eating gravy at Obama's table.
Next up, coal strike. December 2012, right after the election so they can wring a really nice payoff out of the dead-duck Congress.
Union honchos care only about themselves. Never their workers who pay a tax called union dues. For this is all about them with Political aspirations.
I would suggest to the union they should. If he is re-elected, he will be a lot more flexible and energy prices would be allowed to necessarily rise.
