You know I think Ron Paul is crazy but I know he would be best for the u.s . Presidency .

You know how I know this cause the media hates him , I said it with Cain and I will say it with Paul .....if the media ignores or hates you , your the man for the job!!

In our motherland of (formerly Great Britain) the U.K., citizens are now being jailed simply for exercising their right of free speech.

In Canada, a father was arrested and had his children seized by the state on the grounds of his 4 year old daughter's kindergarten crayon drawing of a gun. And after this outrageous conduct the Premier of Canada's largest province, Ontario, endorsed the police action.

No political leader spoke up in defence of this father's and mother's rights. None!

All of them endorse the law that was the premise behind these outrageous actions, The Canadian Firearms Act.

They claim this law will protect us from criminals and terrorists. Protecting us from the abuse of state power, that subject never even comes up.

Many of our American cousins still speak of the premise of liberty, of being born free, born with natural rights.

They have grass roots movements who fight for their heritage.

Though it's a shared concept of our common-law heritage, all we get up here is silence, and some nervous whistling past the political graveyard.

@Larry

Trust my friend I have told knight 99 this same thing keep doing what you are doing speak out speak loud and remember you are not alone !!! You are part of the silent majority never forget that.

When agenda 21 is FULLY implemented people like you will be able to rely on people like me there are so many American silent militias and prep networks the u.s . Government would never ever ever EVER. Be able to rule over the people .

I have met lots of left wing Americans and even they know America is free and they themselves would fight to the death over the confiscation of that freedom for any reason ...just wait till they try to fully enforce it democrats Will become republicans . And a new americacwill emerge. The rest of the world I say will be business as usual

Once more for the cheap seats - Jesse Sansone was/is a convicted felon with a record for assault. It's illegal for him to own a gun, period. His daughter said he had a gun and used to shoot "bad guys".

Manufactured narratives - not just for the progressive left any more, it seems.

@daniel ream was he ever in possession of a fire arm ?

If the cops don't know that is how it should have remained to arrest a man based on a picture his daughter drew is unspeakable , slimy ,scummy ,and totally unethical .

If the cops have no physical evidence or proof. Then they should piss off !

None of there business!!

Based on a picture that his four year old drew I would sue the entire police force for fifty trillion dollars!!!!

A picture his four year old drew gives them probable cause ? Are you a retard?

Piss off andchangvwith the lefties

Hang with*

"The government IS out to get you!!" -- Steven Hyde

I would note that the fine "Law Enforcement" in this country are the enablers for this. Which is why I thank God every time he sends another of them to rot where they belong.

I like Bill but he misses the fact that empires rise and fall regardless of legalities and ideals. These things progress slowly but heat up and go much faster once that first shot is fired - and once that happens there is no force of law at all - the only thing that counts is who is left standing after the smoke clears.

Arm yourself. To the teeth. Bill was right in that all you have are the assurances of filthy men that they will not use their power to hurt you.

It appears to me that the U.S. government is doing their best to ketch up to the terrorist org known as the government of Canada

when the GUN makes the man, the man no longer exists

I would rather emotional fools like you were on the other side, you fit in better with the lefties

on 9/11, there was NOT a shot fired

We where outside of a concert in London On. a few weeks ago in the only designated smoking area. A brisk wind was blowing up the street against the building,so the exhaled smoke was being quickly whisked away. There where about one hundred people out there.

Here comes this mother literally dragging her six or seven year old daughter right through the middle of the crowd. The daughter had her hand over her nose and mouth and heard her mom say something like we will soon be out of it .

Another fellow and I laughed and wondered how we lived this long. And why did the mom walk right through the crowd when she had eighty feet of unobstructed walkway to the street?

Evil smoke, evil guns, evil co2, what's next and will the mom show the same concern lets say when the girl's fourteen?

But we have people thinking it was a good idea to strip search a father because his little girl fantasied about him shooting bad people and monsters.

Maybe she should have thought of the state instead of her father then it would have been alright? Daniel?

Daniel Ream and NME666, I am fully aware of Jesse Sansone's criminal history. Yes, he's a dirtbag. Apparently.

The question is, shall we consider it reasonable that a picture drawn by a four year old shall be considered sufficient evidence for an arrest and search by police?

Because that decision has already been taken. It has been decided by your betters that a drawing by a FOUR YEAR OLD CHILD is all that is required to have the cops arrest your @ss and toss your house. And when I say toss, I mean every item in your place examined, inventoried, boxed and held for whatever period the cops decide, drywall pulled down, floors dug up, whatever the hell they want to do to every damn thing you own.

How far a step is it from that to search and seizure by whim? "Nice car, I think I'll take it." said Constable Plod.

That's how they do it in Mexico, dudes. You wanna live in Mexico? Surprise, you already do!

Hence Mr. Whittle's point. They did it to you so slowly you didn't notice. Sticking them back in their box is going to be harder than stonewalling them thirty years ago would have been.

Why would it be illegal for someone with an assault record to own a gun? Inumerable people with assault records have guns including a whack of those down at the friendship centre. Please don't make up $hit.

So if my son drew up picture of an airplane and I didn't have a license to fly it, are jackboots coming through my door. The term Pigs was invented for cops like these. The daughter said that the gun was for shooting monsters, a totally legal activity.

Congress as Ron Paul has stated many times does not represent a constitutional governing body any more. We see it when martinet statists in both parties fabricate unconstitutional laws to expand authority and allow the use of militart law and military force domestically. What other than a government that fears the people would take such measures? It is the American civilian that congress is at war with and they are preparing for revolt.

Personally I think the oligarchs who control both parties and who own the US financial system are preparing to collapse the dollar to take on a global currency which has more trade value. The interim period will be fraught with civil unrest due to the unimaginable shortages of a collased economy. I believe these martial measures are being put in place to use against any domestic rebellion that may start as the result of wreckless economic management.

let's see...

on the one hand we have people whining that "cops just eat donuts and don't do anything"

on the other we have them whining "the cops are overdoing their jobs"

face it folks, the police only enforce the laws the politicians made...in the way their superiors tell them to..their CIVILIAN superiors... the justice ministers and mayors and police commissioners and crown attorneys...and if they don't do what they're told by the lawful authority of those superiors, then they're replaced with someone who will...

if you want ludicrous events like arresting a man for his daughter's crayon drawings to stop, then go after the idiots who lodged the complaints and created the laws they were made under and let the officers go back to eating donuts and staying out of your lives...

do you really think the officers involved took it upon themselves to arrest and search the man ? unlikely..they were TOLD to do it and had no choice since the law is the law...

change the laws if you want foolishness like this to cease...or get rid of the 'social engineers' filling the schools and 'family support' offices that make the decision to refer these things to the courts and have police directed to carry them out...

Forget teh Jesse Sansone case, I want to know how many of the other kids drew things that don't exist in the world and had their doors broken down by the equivalent of the Men in Black (looking for aliens) or EPA (to protect the endangered unicorn).

All it would have taken was one question from Sansone Jr. about what guns are used for (while watching any police drama or action/adventure film) to plant the seed in his mind that guns are used for defence, and in his mind his daddy will defend him, so it can be an easy combination for a 4 year old to make.

Did we learn nothing from the "child confessions" in the daycare abuse scandal? When "she touched my bum" is mentioned, but "she turned me into a puppy" isn't, you're biasing the evidence.

Occam, that's why I said earlier on another thread that the US Constitution is a "dead letter". I'm re-reading the core works of Mises ouevre and am more convinced than ever that absent sound money a constitution is just a piece of paper with words on it.

Daniel Ream: Sure, it may have been somewhat reasonable for the child's statement about her father shooting bad guys to have caused mild concern, given the father's history. The point is: in the long-ago common sense era, a little chat with the father, even by phone only, would have quickly put paid to this mild concern.

And NO we critics of donut-eating time-wasting cops don't want them to compensate by SPRINGING INTO ACTION over nothing.

We live in an age of psychotic risk-aversion and the "authorities" know no bounds when it comes to risk mitigation. There's your police state.

The little anecdote above about the mother/child and outdoors cigarette smoke is a pitch perfect example.

MND ... "psychotic risk aversion" ... perfect.

The video presentation was brilliant, society has lost sight of what it means to be independent thinkers and truly free.

Trifling about the little dictatorial regulations incrementally imposed by governments makes us lose sight of the big picture.

Governments/ Elitists have always desired power over “the people” this is nothing new and is in fact the oldest profession since the dawn of civilization. Ultimate power is unconditional; it means ultimate submission by the slave class to the ruling class, nothing less. It was that way in Ancient Egypt and is true through the ages in every society until today. ONLY Constitutional Laws backed by the will and strength of the people keep it that way! This is a very rare occurrence in human history.

Those that think they can scrap these hard fought Constitutional Rights that took generations of blood and human suffering and believe they can control this power, are devoid of all critical thinking (inhumane) and/or mentally ill beyond societal acceptance.

There is always consorted effort by those in power to gain ultimate power over the people. Today we are in BIG trouble because they are very close to scrapping our Constitutional protections, and implementing their own. The seats of power are many, and they are united, while we are not, because they have divided us. This effort is lead by the UN as a governing force who are implementing world government though its own Charters, Constitution, and action plan called Agenda 21.

It’s all there in plain view for anyone to read. Obamba’s dictatorial actions against the US Constitution are all part of the UN plan. It’s not a mystery or a theory; it is right in front of your face for anyone with an ounce of intelligence to see.

Canadians are very fortunate the October Crisis occurred in 1970. In 1970 most MPs including Liberal party MPs were still people of honour. Trudeau's progressive policies and his establishment of an imperial Prime Minster's Office (PMO) had not yet come to fruition.

The War Measure's Act invoked to deal with the October Crisis was (and the Act is still valid today) an open ended invitation to tyranny. When invoked to deal with "a real or apparent insurrection" it does not require the Crown to specify what constitutes the insurrection, what will determine the end of the insurrection nor does it really require Parliament to periodically review and re-authorize the provisions of the Act.
In 1970 there were sufficient MPs of independent mind to stop the Government from abusing the powers of the Act. Since then ALL parties have lost such MPs (the Conservatives less than most but there are still too many trained seals in the party to challenge a tyrannical PM).

If the October Crisis had occurred in say 1978 instead of 1970 I believe the Act would be still invoked to this day against the undefined real or apparent insurrection.

So true. Slowly but surly we have lost our natural rights. It why I view this "Conscience Rights" as a red herring. Really we shouldn't even be talking about it because we have inherent rights. Since when is the Government the arbiter of morality? From what source is this wisdom found? Since when can politicians tells us what is good for us or what we can do as free born citizens. Instead we have slave rights. Those they choose to give us. Not the God given ones we where born with, like the right to self defense. To free speech. Free Assembly as a human community. The whole issue has been turned into a twisted perverted reversal of what rights are. You are born with them or not.
If not than you live in a tyranny of anyones personal ideals. If not than what the Governments with the police & are doing is an abomination.
Its that simple. Conscience rights are fine , but no one should decide them for you. least of all those who gain power by destroying your humanity through legalism.
We have gone so far off the reality of true liberty, no one even considers this a strange conversation anymore. Most even turn from allowing individuals the right to act on their beliefs.

On the cop thing:

We give the RCMP too much power in our society, and allow them to be too remote and detached as a specialized “membership”.

Police ARE civilians, not a government Gestapo with unlimited power of the state.

We need armed civilians, with arresting powers, and the rights to properly protect property and person as directed by Posse Comitatus Law (Common Law). That was all the original idea of a police force was intended to be in the first place. That is why the Posse Comitatus Act exists in the US, forbidding the military to exercise legal authority on US soil, and why Canada shouldn’t want a cloak and dagger, pseudo-military force operating on its soil.

Obamba, has been incrementally scrapping Posse comitatus and Habeas corpus, direct violations of the US Constitution an absolutely dictatorial power grab by any measure.

Policemen are in a damned-if-you-do-damned-... bind. A stopped clock is correct twice a day but a cop is necessarily in the wrong.

Conservatives are the law-and-order folks. Yet conservative commentator Mark Steyn was critical of police handing of the G20 rioters.

I am no fan of Julian Fantino but I recall him saying: "In essence, what has resulted is the handcuffs have been put on the police instead of being put on the criminals,"

just my 2¢

It started in Canada when the "right" to own private property was not written into the constitution.

Right you are Mugs and Me No Dhimmi.

First they came for the smokers and the no one said anything, not even most smokers! Some smokers did not say anything because the 'others' used the WHO to justify their paranoia...then they came for the 'helmet less', most people did not care because they did not ski or ride bikes and the 'experts' said it would save one life....Mugs, IMO, the draconian smoking laws were a test run for seizing/regulating guns, ammo, free speech, freedom of movement, freedom of religion, freedom of association, freedom to vacuum your house at midnight...it's all coming down the pipe..the smokers and the uncapped heads went down so easy....

The contrast is amazing!! Ron Paul looks strong and capable, the 'present' President looks like a human piece of boiled spaghetti teetering around on a two wheeler.

I do believe that Bill Whittle got his inspiration from Ron Paul. Ron Paul has been defending the Constitution all of his life. He is a 12 year congressman from Galveston, Texas - no nanny laws there, people can smoke in public places and ride bikes without helmets without having a silly servant sashay up to them and harrass them with trash talk and tickets. Adults still live in some places in Texas! Ron Paul's son, Senator Rand Paul was the only Senator to refuse to sign NADA, he held up the bill and gave a public hearing for the reasons he would always refuse to sign. That is courage, IMO.

Ron Paul would never work under such an unconstitutional edict as NADA or TSA. He has said so.

Paul in Calgary - the silence from the media is deafening. Rats hiding in a corner hoping that no one will turn on the light. Well, the wiring is already done - one day people will learn to flip the 'on' switch and rats and cockroaches will be scurrying for cover!

I am hearing a thunder from America and I like what I hear - 'President Ron Paul', loud and unstoppable. Its everywhere on the net, yet people like CTV claim that Mitty Romney has already won the Repub nomination and that all Canadians are happy because Mitt will lose to Obama(whom CTV claims 'all Canadians 'love' ..yuck!). George Soreass claims their is 'no difference' Mitty or Obammy - same dish, different day..Ron Paul is the wild card that Soreass and his ilk fear:

http://hotair.com/archives/2012/01/30/george-soros-theres-not-much-difference-between-obama-and-romney/

I pray for the success of Dr. Ron Paul; a return to sanity.

Prof.John Robson of SunnewsTV, is the best commentator on the basics of our"free and democratic" society and it's historical foundations.

Historical note- The War Measures Act of 1970 had a 30 day expiry built into it.

95% percent of those arrested by the Quebec police, under their new police state powers, were pamphleteers not terrorists. Trudeau who knew pretty much everyone in the small groups of political activists was outraged. I believe this was one reason for the Charter(without the compromises) is similar in design to the U.S. Bill of Rights. He acknowledged that and referred to the sovereignty of the individual citizen.

An ordinary police officer going door to door talking to people discovered the FLQ terrorists.

The temporary police state powers and abuse alienated enough citizens to elect the Partis Quebecois within six years.

So when the federal government things new police state powers and restrictive gun control to fight crime and terrorists, we have reason to remain skeptical.

"Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution, no la, no court can save it."- Judge Learned Hand

The BNA Act was designed to protect citizens from the government, the Carter was designed to enable the state to keep citizens in control of politicians. PET was a Marxist/ Communist in his sympathies and in his actions. PET was an elitist with ambitions beyond his intellect. He managed to bankrupt Canada but he did not win. Praise God, thank Eric Nielson.

Some people don't agree with the freedoms protected in the Constitution.

They act in the following manner, as easily as you would b-l-o-w y-o-u-r n-o-s-e.

WARNING, MOST DISTURBING VIDEO. A reminder of who you are dealing with and/or whats at stake.

Very disturbing.....

The statement democrat or republican it doesn't matter.
How true, both parties are taking your rites away and you just scratched the surface of corruption.
I honestly believe the only way we can get real change is not to vote. Very difficult to rule a country when only .00001 percent of the population voted for you. Even the most well intended president or party has no chance. It's estimated it costs a billion dollars to become president where did the money come from grandmas cookie jar, I don't think so.the system is fixed
Just another reason not to vote.
