He didn't get so scared up there he crapped himself as a lot of wankers like to report. She said he'd try to get back in the crate if they stuck it back on the roof...

PETA absolved Obama a day or two ago of his dog-eating sin. (And I'm too dog-tired to look for a link.)

If Obama is going to 'bring up' a dog, just step back.

Picture this...Obama comes home from work and tells his wife "Honey I am starving, what's for supper?" his wife replies "Pup Tarts, your favourite."

The left is a collection of sad, misguided people. They care about animals more than their own species. That is, until a liberal is cruel to an animal and then they turn a blind eye. Their economy is in the crapper and they have the worst president in history in charge but they will bitch about Romney having a dog on the roof of his car in a pet carrier. Wow. Their priorities are in the same place as most of their heads. And the view there must not be very good and the smell not very nice.

T'other day after reading some bit of lefty tripe about the dog on the roof thing.... I abserved a pick'em'up truck go past with a coupla dogs in the box thoroughly enjoying the ride.

I recall having a pair of riding fool, dogs who would even hop into the loader bucket of the tractor back-hoe....

As a kid I often raked hay with one of them "open operator" tractors of the '50's with a dog snuggled between my legs....

my buddy's husky cross used to stand on the toolbox and rest her head on the roof. One day he heard a clatter on the roof and she had jumped up there at highway speeds. My point is, dogs like riding on the roof.

FWIW, my dog travels in the back of my truck, no leash, no problem.

No wonder Obama visits Asia so often. Its the fine dining.

As a charter member of Hillary's vast rightwing conspiracy, it pains me to do this, it really, really hurts, but I'm going to defend Obama on this one. His people shouldn't have brought up Mitt's dog - that was dumb; but so what that he's eaten dog and called it good? BFD. LOTS of us have eaten dog and called it good. Some years ago Uncle Sam sent a large contingent of young men to S.E. Asia. When you travel, it's good form to sample the local cuisine. Vietnamese food is pretty tasty. I'm here to tell you that dog is not as good as horse, but beats the heck out of possum, snails, squid, tofu, and a lot of other things people eat.

Homer, the ONLY reason people are beating BO over the head with this, and getting a good laugh besides, is because the Obama team and hangers on made such a BFD about Mitt's dog riding in a closed compartment style cage strapped to the roof.

Which was not cruel, stupid or anything else to anybody reasonable given the conditions it happened under.

But they spun it and distorted it, oh HOW they have been spinning and distorting it, for WEEKS.

So I think most of us are enjoying a little schadenfreude of him getting it back in his face, playing on the difference in cultural norms for something that I and I'm guessing most reasonable folk agree with you: he ate dog meat as a child 45+? years ago while living in a 3rd world country... peculiar, and slightly squicky to North Americans, but not a sign of anything in particular unless he kept it up as a habit.

LOL at all the Obamaniacs trying to justify his dog-eating after castigating Romney for the "cruelty" of putting his dog's crate on a car roof. Some are trying the cultural sensitivity angle -- ie it's okay for foreigners to eat dog, while others say he was "just a child" at the time so it doesn't count-- ignoring the fact that Obama the adult shows no remorse for it.

But the dumbest argument of all is that Romney's act was WORSE than Obama's. Yes, killing and butchering and eating a dog is somehow less morally reprehensible than transporting one atop your car. If we could put it to the dogs, which do you think THEY'D say is worse: crate or plate?!

Also, this: A couple of years ago, when Sarah Palin criticized Obamacare, the left went ballistic after learning Palin, as a young child, traveled to Canada with her family for some sort of medical treatment for a relative.

Never mind that it was before Canada instituted the socialized medicine system it has now, never mind that Palin was a minor child. Palin went to Canada, ergo Palin's criticism of Obamacare was hypocritical. Or something.

So if the left holds her accountable for something she did as a child, why not Obama? Aside from the fact they're hypocrites, I mean.
