Elections Liberal

CNews;

For the last three federal campaigns, Elections Canada has hired the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) to target select ridings with phone calls aimed at boosting the native vote.

The documents show that Elections Canada paid the AFN $50,000 during the last election to set up call centres, read from prepared scripts and answer questions on voting.

Elections Canada describes the contract as part of a "voter education and information" program that has been ongoing with AFN since 2005.

Amidst the claims and counterclaims in the "robocall" controversy in the last election, Elections Canada has been definitive in saying it did not call voters in the days leading up to the 2011 vote.

What else are they hiding? Clearly they are hiding the lib-dipper named "Pierre Poutine".

So if i vote do i get a flatscreen TV...anyways..eh?

So what was the swearing up and down about no calls from Elections Canada? Total BS. Once this is all over and the Liberals are blamed for most of this mess the government should fire some of these useless, incompetent, and partisan civil servants.

The Alberta electorate seems to have had calls from a group that identified themselves as Wildrose. Individuals were called repeatedly over short periods of time on the last weekend before the election. Talking with a Wildrose campaign worker from a specific constituency revealed that the party was not making those calls. The recipients of those calls would obviously become frustrated. Perhaps this was a strategy employed by a rival party which could explain why the polls were so wrong in the end. Just sayin

I could us a flatscreen TV also...

These are the same sort of tactics employed in the US and much worse to effect an outcome you want.
As in Al Franken, elected after months of litigation with votes 'found' in the trunk of a car.
As Soros had pointed out, it was their aim before the 2008 election and beyond to replace every Secretary of State in the Union with 'their' people. They have been largely successful with this tactic or Franken would not now be a senator in the US Congress. Imagine, Stuart Smalley in a diaper a Senator of the US Congress.
Never underestimate the corruption of officials associated with the left. Either in the US or here. Elections Canada has been corrupt for a very long time. I wonder why the Conservatives don't DO something about it? OR the CBC. OR...OR...
So little time, so much to do.
Meanwhile, Alberta has a PC majority. WHO KNEW??!
Certainly not the pollsters , and that in itself is VERY suspicious.
I said it during the Federal election and I say it now... we were VERY lucky in 2011 to eke out a majority Conservative government. They ALMOST made it through with their sham 'votes' at University of Guelph, with ballot boxes flying around everywhere on campus, then students could go home and vote again?
Robocalls, Schmobocalls..the libs and the left and nippers all are always up to no good and blaming others for their dirty deeds. This is what is going on in Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia.
The whole country could be compromised by the time we get to another federal election.
Public sector unions need to be ended. Either they go or entire countries will go.

After Elections Canada brass denies any calls were made by Elections Canada to the electorate, we discover that they actually did do just that.

Not only did they do that, they hired a POLITICAL organization to make the calls, a political organization that depends on federal government funding.

There should be some Elections Canada job vacancies and some Crown Prosecutors laying charges.

How many of these band councils have direct/indirect ties to the Liberal Party?

The Harper Conservatives may have won last years election, but clearly the Liberal bureaucracy is still running much of the government.

Larry

".........but clearly the Liberal bureaucracy is still running much of the government."

Ya think?

I'm shocked...shocked...I tell ya....

Ministry of Justice is still cranking out Brady Foundation "studies"...as science....on the taxpayer dime.....

Environment Canada still pubicizes IPPC reports on the taxpayer dime.....

I hope that an investigation is underway re: those calls Smitherenzes at April 26, 2012 1:32 AM.

Snowbunnie - excellent observations and questions. I agree with what you have said.

You are correct sasquatch and Larry - I have been a DRO a few times.

Elections Canada lied to all of us, we pay them and we should demand professional conduct. The Feds should be forced to fire every EC liar, in the name of all of the citizens of Canada. No pension or pay out for any liars.

just a guess ,but the ridings went to the libs and the dips?

Where the "first" nations not aware that they were able to vote before?

In one of the most engaging AB elections in my adulthood (30 years) the percentage of AB to vote was still only 51%. What exactly will it take for at least some adults in this country to become slightly engaged in politics. I really have to bite my tongue every time an 'adult' laughs about either not voting or voting w/o any idea of what is going on. Maybe next time I should make the decision to lose friends by pointing out the benefits of knowledge. Sigh.

The vast majority of Canadians think their country is corruption free. After all the education system has installed ultimate faith in government and critical thinking has been eliminated from all studies. Besides critical thinking is simply to hard.

The Libels have enough stashed off-shore to fund their activites for years to come. The fact that Elections Canada funded a political organization to get the vote out errily sounds like Obama's org from 4 years ago.

I have as much faith in the AFN to call Native voters with an unbiased message as I do in the Nigerian Bankers who send me those intriguing offers that will make me rich if I just give them my bank account number.

Snowbunnie said "Public sector unions need to be ended. Either they go or entire countries will go."

Agreed. Too many leftist monopolies & not enough competition.

Polls show that Native Canadians are leading in the polls with 97% of the popular vote.

:)

Can't wait for the next Ontario provincial election, like many Albertans’ I believe we are very much looking forward to getting involved in theirs for the first time as much as they were in ours.
