Obozo's policies would give "speculators" the needed impoetus to speculate, slap down the DOE, and EPA, and prices would start to go south as soon as there was rumblings that an inquirie in to price fixing was scheduled
I think that there are forces behind the scene that are encouraging, and possibly financing, speculation, as the higher prices increase profit margins. Also, this opens the door to higher taxe, and moves ahead Obozo's plan to reduce consumption

Soetoro was put in the WH by oil cartel money which is run in large part by the Saudi sheikhs. Barry's mission is to keep energy under OPEC price control which is global.
North America has enough domestic energy in the ground to be completely independent from OPEC which could ensure a complete resurrection of our dead economy...Or at least flood the market so to force the price down if we don't break from the market's control.

It's impossible to move oil markets by bidding up futures contracts. Impossible. You have to take delivery of the oil eventually and what is an evil "speculator" going to do with oil? Yeah exactly they would have to sell the contract to someone who actually wants the oil. So Obama's thesis that it's evil oil "speculators" driving up the price is as phony as he is.
Huh. I wonder what kind of emergency preparedness plan the Russians are discussing in the case of a possible blowout in the high Arctic?

Ok Wet One I went and took a look at your link. At a quick glance it looks like the discussion is based on two primary assumptions. The first is catastrophic man made global warming, and the second is the there is a relative small amount of oil left and that we are going to be unable to meet growing demands. Both are demonstratively false. The problem is a social, political agenda, that see’s man as a disease that needs to be controlled. I wonder if people like you see yourselves as part of the disease or if you think of themselves as the antibody. I like that; that’s what you are, the Antibody.
