1. They’re even considerate enough to make a list of establishments to buy more from…er…avoid!

   And they even are thoughtful enough to have a comments section, not that anybody thanking them for the list of of places to patronize is going to get their comment published.

2. Actually I have been patronizing the “BULK BARN” specifically because they stock Isreali cous cous…
   Turkey put an embargo on Isreali cous cous and that backfired when Isreali processors switched to Canadian wheat………

3. Students boycotting provincial liquor boards? HAHAHA!! Not unless they’re already wearing the burqua.

4. I will not give up my soda stream. With Soda Stream I have been able to support Israel and stick it to Coke.

5. My comment, which I am sure will go down the memory hole: Wow! A great long list of companies to boycott, and except for Pizza Hut, on rare occasions, I already don’t deal with any of them, simply because they don’t sell products or services that cater to my lifestyle.
   I’ve already quit dealing with Mountain Equipment Co-op because they support those commie rat bastard tree huggers.
   But I will be sure to contact ALCB, and insist that they begin stocking Israeli wines, so that I can not boycott them, too. Who knows, maybe there is Israeli beer, too? Probably no Israeli Scotch, though, because like Chinese Scotch, that would just be wrong.
   I will have to go out and buy some Israeli-made ammunition. Because you know it has to work.

   They forgot Intel, which designs most of their modern microprocessors and flash chips in Israel. I hope these hippies do not have a Mac Book Pro with in i5 processor or an iPhone with Intel flash memory in it. Not to mention the server where they post the boycott list is probably powered by an Israel designed processor.

7. Doug I’m with you, U of R students boycotting provincial liquor boards stores, Ha! After passing their resolution they probably all headed over to the liquor store to pickup a bottle of Strawberry Angel and celebrate their accomplishment. As for IBM – I guess there will be a number of handwritten assignments being handed in to their professors. And good luck with the CATERPILLAR boycott, big business could care less about a few simple-minded, useless degees in hand, wackjobs.

8. That’s a growing (pardon the pun!!) problem with kids in todays Yo-niversiteeees……. they come out dumber than when they wen in.

11. I’ll bet my bottom dollar that the students who are farm kids had nothing to do with this. If you know anything about rural Saskatchewan, there is a severe shortage of kids. They’ve been closing schools down every year for more than a decade, now.
    The few rural kids that may be students at U of R very likely do not participate in these antics orchestrated likely by the Student’s Union executive.
    Not only that, but AGMs are notoriously poorly attended. The announcement says the vote was taken at the AGM. I suspect the total attendance at the AGM was very, very small, and the total number of votes was probably less than 20. I doubt any of them are farm kids. More than likely they live in Regina’s up-scale neighbourhoods and their father or mother teaches at the U of R. Student’s Unions are as relevant to students as big unions are to workers.

    I too refuse to give up my Soda Stream. I get the added benefit of screwing SARCAN out of their environmental fees too. If only there was a way to SCREW SWEEP too!

18. I used to be so angry when the Student Union dues came off my tuition whether I wanted it to or not.
    There’s no way around it.
    Disgusting.
    Also, the U of R blows. You go there to get your piece of paper and you leave and never come back. I completely missed out on the “University” experience. I worked to pay for the tuition, lived at home because it was close and did my classes and left when I was done….like most people.

21. The solidarity group has a map on the sidebar of their site, that is all the Israel I support, that is, there is no distinction between West Bank, Golan Heights, and Gaza. It’s all Israel, they earned it.

22. I don’t understand why anyone bothers to give these whackjobs the press. They have no base for their arguments and are only bitter cause their basket weaving degrees won’t get them a decent job like a course you have to actually study for. Construction companies are crying for engineers and contractors and these guys piss and moan about “not sharing in the wealth”. F***ing get to work and earn it!!!!
