Saint-Maurice-Champlain MP Lise St-Denis, seeing no future for the federal NDP party, has joined Bob Rae’s caucus. Readers of the Red Star think it’s the end of the world! However, anecdotal evidence suggests that most Canadians are having this reaction.

She’s just the first to jump ship. Expect many to follow in the next couple years.
I could not resist commenting on the Red Star article.
“Hey, why all the long faces. She just switched from one socialist party to another socialist party.”
I thought the Starwipes headlines were for comic relief! Thats why I go to Nat Newswatch for the latest funny rant, I had no idea they were serious and there were people stupid enough to read and believe that garbage and not ROTFLMAO. Oh I must go to TO and become “enlightened” aka dumbed down.
Love the sloth. Heard of the change and I couldn’t quite manage a yawn.
Sun News TV report
That funny video describes the situation perfectly.
This is odd. Michael Ignatieff cried, “Rise up! Rise UP, Canada!” and Canada complied by kicking the Liberal Party out of Stornoway and Relevance. Why would an NDP MP want to join forces with a decimated party?
This has many precedents….
In the past according to the MSM the difference anyone crossing the floor FROM the LIBRANOs compared to anyone crossing the floor TO the LIBRANOs was simple and direct the FROM was treason but the TO was the purest of patriotism……
I am guessing this St Denis person feels the NDP have hit their high-tide mark and the LIBRANOs will rise again….
Only problem is the LIBRANOs have no more money than the dippers.
Going from the Federal NDP to the Federal Liberal Party, does this actually constitute a change?
Bob Rae, former NDP provinical Premier, now leader(interim) of the Federal. He changed from provincial to federal politics but did he actually, change politically? A rhetorical question.
Oh…. baby sloths are cute.
And by that I mean NDP/Liberal- same difference. MY indifference.
One more little leap, and she would become a Conservative!! Go for it, Lise!!
Talk about jumping off the Titanic, and swimming to the safety of the Ocean Ranger.
Boob Rae is the new Jack Layton, although Jack probably had better taste in skinny dipping companions.

Without Saint Jack of the Velvet Touch, the NDP will inevitably fall back into it’s traditional low 3rd place position.
When PMSH axes the vote subsidy, the Liberals will be better funded than the NDP because of their legacy corporate connections.
Just my opinion, but anyone wanting to jump ship should be forced to sit as an independent until their constituents get another opportunity to vote.
The NDP should sue for fraud… 😉
I love how “controlling party discipline” is the biggest problem until someone acts against one of the parties. Then the party should have control and such…lol
DaninVan. I never understood the idea that they should have to sit as an independent until an election.
Perhaps you could explain to me how an MP sitting as an independent, but voting with whatever party they are choosing to join is different than actually joining the party and sitting in caucus.
The vote is gonna be the same anyway, but atleast as a party member they have extra resources from parliament and their (new) party they can bring to bear in raising issues.
So why is it bad that they don’t sit in the corner as an independent and just vote with the (new) party??
Guess because there was no bloc caucus to sit in, she opted for the other bad faith party.
Loser x 2.

Hm, that brings up an interesting possibility,fc. You don’t suppose our Jack “swung both ways”,do you? Maybe that’s why he was so much the darling of the MSM.
Skinny dipping with an out-of-closet gay,and getting massages from young Asian girls? Yeah, I can see why they love him so much, what other qualities would anyone want in a Leader?
I’m happy any time the Far Left loses an MP to the Not-Quite-As-Far Left, can only be good for the Country.
St. Denis was quoted as saying with regard to Quebec voters, “They voted for Jack Layton. Jack Layton is dead.”
I suppose this means the time for sentimental reminiscence is officially over?
