  1. that song is all I have been able to think of ever since this news broke. “Now you see, the changing of the word is inevitabre!”

  2. It’s a display as false as those teddy bear and flower-decked shows of “mourning” after the death of celebrities like Princess Di or Jack Layton. The big difference is that the weepers here do it out of a misplaced identification and neuroses, while they have to go through the dumb show in NorK to keep from being sent to the labour camps. Also, we’re free here to make fun of these inane displays – or will be, until our betters in the nation’s media find a way to prohibit scorn, as they tried to do with “Jack!”

  3. “They’ll get their week’s ration of food for that heartfelt display of grief.

All that crying for a cup of rice . . . good work if you can get it.

  4. Like all “spontaneous” demonstrations in North Korea…..
The inspiration is the prospect of being sent to the NORKS gulags….if they don’t get a slug in the back of the neck first……reality…..survival mechanism on steriods….

  5. I think the order of the day is….”Cry or you die”.
Anyway, this reminds me a bit of the way the left went into hyper-mourn mode when Layton shuffled off.

  6. Oh they are crying alright for sure …why is the big question ….lol.
before the cameras rolled they were told cry or die……and behind the cameras the guns are pointed into the crowd!! lol.
Ilike how they are all standing in single file organized rows of crying all wearing the same suit’s …lol.!! to funny!!

  7. Real tears. Social distress is here offered a rare safe channel to express deep emotion. They are like the trusting bots of the Wizard of Oz, trusting the guy behind the curtain, deceived by a tyrant, not a good-natured flim flam man.

  8. Those are actually tears of joy. Now if only the runt would take permanent vacation from life, they may have a chance of not all starving to death.
Or start a war that will devastate both North & South.

  9. Don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m going to watch “Team America” tonight, and laugh my face off.
I mourn the loss of Vaclav Havel, but for this odious P.O.S., I’m singing and dancing. Millions of people live in starvation, ignorance, and isolation because of this stunted dwarf. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

  10. Psalm 71:3-4
3 Be thou to me a rock of refuge, a strong fortress, to save me, for thou art my rock and my fortress.
4 Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man.
As for the excessive public displays of weeping, they are truly tears of joy at not being sent to the gulag. How many of these people ‘personally’ knew Kim Jong Il to engage in gratuitous displays of grief. This like ancient days when you would hire professional mourners to lead the funeral procession.
Speaking of food can I interest you in some non-Stalinist CWB free bona fide Canadian wheat?
I noticed the North Koreans let off some celebratory rockets as part of a test fire to mark the event. Out with the old man in with the new man. Nothing has changed, move along, let the professional mourners through, their tears are enough to power a hydro-electric dam to keep the lights on.
    Cheers

  11. I’m kind of guessing that the first person who stops crying gets shot much like the first person who stopped applauding Stalin had a one way trip to the gulag.
I know it’s not polite to speak ill of the dead – but in this case I’ll make an exception. Good riddance.

  12. Creepy scenes like this make me want to resign from the human race. I think that the mass grieving was as deeply felt as grief for public figures ever is. Remember the thousands of zombies who lined up for hours in Ottawa midsummer heat for the privilege of walking past Trudeau’s coffin?

  13. That sooo reminds me of an old McLean & McLean line about Mao. “When Mao died a nation wept – 800 million people wept – they had to or they’d be f***in’ shot”.

  14. Superb.
One can clearly see the Justin Trudeau school for over-acting commie douche bags has been a great influence in shaping their monumental performance.
    Bravo.

  15. “Maybe they’re crying because they’re friggen starving to death. ”
    Well,they ARE all fashionably thin.

  16. Communism:
Where the people pretend to work
And the gov’t pretends to pay you.
Where the Dictator pretends to care
And the people pretend to cry.

  17. I couldn’t quite watch that video to the end….can someone tell me if it ends with a great big flash of light please?

  18. “Nothing like the state cameras rolling to bring forth the emotion.” What, was CBC there?

  19. Let’s hope Fidel can last a few more months or the combined tears might actually cause “the oceans to rise” like Al’s been promising all along.

  20. I think the grief is real. These people have been brainwashed for decades with little outside influence and believe they stand alone against the world, with only the “Great Leader” preventing their complete destruction as a society. Their entire education system from kindergarden on up confirmed Kim’s godlike status. Just look how little it took for Gore/Suzuki to brainwash millions of our young. Even many teachers fell under the spell of snake oil salesmen that we now know were enticed more by endless funding than any credible threat to the planet. We are still paying a tax on carbon so the scam still has life. North Korea has been brainwashed since 1953 and it will take a long time to undo the damage done by treating all citizens like children. They also have the fourth largest military on the planet, not to mention nukes. It will take a while to see where this goes but I’ll bet South Korea is not seeing any humor in this.

  21. The Norks have been told that they are still at war with the US. That is true in a way. There never was a peace treaty signed, just a cease fire.
These poor buggers have been duped for generations.
What else can we expect from them?

  22. Poor sheltered beings. If they had any access to truth they would be jumping for joy. Instead only some of those in the OWS crowd genuinely weep.
